  • Hey guys! Today we're digging out my old Idol of Gork campaign book for Warhammer Fantasy (Or Old World) and remaking some of my favourite cardboard cut-out terrain in high definition! Or at least that's usually the plan. There's no cardboard terrain for the second battle so we're making something from scratch instead. Let's hit the road!
In part two we're building a modular Road Tile for use in Warhammer fantasy battles, The Old World, or skirmish games like Mordheim or Frostgrave.

Definitely leave the mistakes in please. It’s really interesting to see how your original plan changes as you go through the project, and how you overcome minor setbacks or difficulties.

Nice build. Modularity is always the way to go. Being able to arrange the elements of a table anyway you want is so much more fun for gaming, though you sacrifice a bit of realism for it. Good tip on the primer too - I usually use gesso to prime my minis but don't with terrain because of how thick it is, I'm going to try your mix on a future build.
And please leave mistakes in. You made a creative hypothesis, tested it, and altered your plan with the new data. It's instruction on what NOT to do, which is just valuable as instruction on the methods you ended up using.

This was awesome to watch man, and hilarious too. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I played 6th edition back when it was released in my early teens, but grew up reading older edition white dwarfs and battle reports and all that. Between these project videos and your Sovl playthroughs I'm having such a cool Warhammer nostalgia kick.

You must be pretty hyped with the launch of Old World then, huh? Most of the re-releases seem to be of your hobbying era :)

@@JordsRealmForge-es7rb Hah I am, but I'm not sure my wallet will be. Even though I don't play anymore I'm still a sucker for army books and lore.

Whenever I have some cash to spend I keep finding the Old World books out of stock and end up buying more models instead… this hobby is a curse :P

Second comment: I like you leaving the mistakes in. It's really interesting to see everything that goes into making these pieces, the thoughts behind why things may work and then the reasons why they didn't.
