    3:24 Nothing but gems!
    Set the foundation first.
Thank you so much, I was looking so hard to find a sonography program to just jump right into. But what you said about going into RT first to build the foundation first makes alot of sense.
My goal is to become a Sonographer, but with RT you have to learn similar aspects of it such as anatomy, medical imaging, patient care, etc.
    Great video❤

Did my RT years ago. Learned to do MRI and CT on the job. Don't get a degree just doing MR. No need for MRI or CT school at all. Got MR, CT, and IR done early on. MR is my primary, and I like to work PRN in trauma as RT. And I teach physics at the community College. Xray has been good to me

Interesting! No where around me offers MRI schooling without going for RT first. I just started doing ore reqd to get into the RT program at the school near me. My end goal is definitely MRI, but having the basics is definitely better because i can transition into so many different things. I feel like I'll definitely find the right fit for me in my 2nd year rotations when i get to work in different areas, and maybe ill learn the MRI isn't what i want to do. I just think MRIs are so cool, its definitely something i want to at least try.

This video was extremely helpful right now I’m debating about going straight to a MRI school or taking the RT program. I’m now leaning towards RT because I like the idea of starting a foundation and building off of it like you said. My question is tho once you pass the RT program what jobs are immediately available in a hospital setting with that certification? Assuming one doesn’t go back to school for MRI or CT etc.
    Thanks!

If not then it’s hard to say that because I been in the field for over 13 years and it’s honestly 50/50 some MRI techs like it and some don’t because they are over worked and the on-call is tough. Again everyone is different & if you think MRI is the way then try it but also if you pay attention most MRI men are bald 👀 not sure if it’s the magnetic 🧲 resonance that makes there hair fall off but pay close attention & make you decision wisely 👀

If you go to Radiology Technologist school first once your a registered tech you can go to MRI school or cross train at a hospital for MRI.

Ok no I didn’t recommend Medical Assistant you have to much responsibility with not enough pay or ability to move up in the future.
Medical Assistant usually takes 1 year in that same 1 year you can become an LPN & then when your ready bridge into RN. You can’t do that in medical assistant.
Don’t let private schools lie to you 🙏🏽

There's no radiation using MRI. As a rad tech you will get radiation but it's very minimal and there are lead shielding provided by the hospitals.

Ok so yes in Radiology after you go for your Radiology Technologist (RT) in order to get your CT or MRI you can either cross-train at work or go to school but you definitely take another registry for each.
So each modality has a registry test with it.
Which makes stuff hard because those test are not easy 👀 but they are doable with a lot of studying 📚.
      Hope this helped 🙏🏽

      Hope this helped 🙏🏽

I trust MRI Man over this guy. Going to MRI immediately is a perfectly fine path. A lot of hospitals nowadays are hiring people who went straight to MRI schools. This isn’t 10-15 years ago anymore, where hospitals were hesitant to do so.
