- Some footage from my time playing Star Citizen this past week. It was my first time really getting into the game and I have to say I am somewhat sold on the experience. It still need more time to cook for SURE, but I think with more time it will be a great game. Enjoy!

It's taken a loooong long time, but the game is finally starting to come together. 2024 and 2025 will be really interesting years to watch SC progress. If server meshing works, we'll have something really special
Christmas 2025 would be a clean 1.0 launch date 👀
server meshing has already been show cased/proven to work.
Not at scale though@@SirPaxson
@@galoreorc01 correct, my point is it’s possible
@@SirPaxson I'm aware. I'm referring to dynamic server meshing, not static server meshing.
That being said, as a huge scifi and especially cyberpunk fan, this is one of the best purchases I have ever made.
The cyberpunk influence is undeniable.
The ramp was clipping into the ground so there wasnt as much clearance as usual. Small ship leaning back + hoverbike = collision going nuts.
Legend. Was waiting for your opinion on this.
Game is cool for sure. Just needs more time.
@@kleanisklean Yeah, it's one of those games that I've been checking it's state for a while and I always feel like it it's still not there. The vision is certainly there, hope they will achieve it.
Since you mentioned the "ton of potential", I think that is one of the biggest positives for people who get into the game, including myself, but then depending on the person, as time went on, the disappointment with the slow progress (which is hopefully finally over) slowly took over.
DAMN taking that bike to the uplink so sexy
Welcome to the verse Citizen! It’s going to be a wild ride.
Pro tip. Wait the alloted time your expedition will have then pay for it. Saves money.
I enjoy how in a lot of Sci-Fi games they think "how do we make this look futuristic?" then they just slather everything in blue and red lights. absolutely brilliant I say
Been enjoying watching you chill in the Verse. Cheers!
This video is epic. Hella cool seeing the main streamer I watched/learned Tarkov from take up Star Citizen.
This will be the greatest video game experience ever when it is finished.
You will Escape from Tarkov when star citizen hits release...
@@RunAroundGuy2 psh i already escaped tarkov when they released a 250$ pve dlc. Lol.
@@RunAroundGuy2 star citizen is released my dude, its live service in development
@@finklesteenDK420you, me and a lot of others
10 mill aUEC ... 🤔
I’m sure a lot of that is from his subs
Yeah 😂
21:30 I wonder if at that speed and pulling up that hard would you be pulling like a million Gs?
it's fucking weird seeing so many of the streamers i watch playing this lately. i've been playing since 2.0. it has been rough at times. depends what you want from it i guess.
honestly this is the one game I don't want a skill system the fun in this game is that you are able to do anything you want and I think that's what gives it uniqueness
So what you want is a flat out game that has nothing to work towards but buying new ships ?, It would be nice with a skill system that would reward people with more money based on skill level in mining per say, I totally get your point, But they could have a skill system for professions like they have a rep system for contracts witch rewards better missions.... Its allready there you probably dont run contracts so you dont know...
@@madknox4666 But its a game that you have to work towards these ships to make these missions and professions easier? So if they already have this reputation system why add something that makes it harder than it already is. Give people more of a chance to try other stuff without a extra week of grinding to get those extra "skills". Really gotta add that last assumption to the end huh 😂
@@emerson5197 you completly missed my point, Its fine m8, the only thing you read was the last part...
There will always be a skill element. Piloting takes skill. The fps element takes skill. Navigating the games bugs takes skill. There needs to be an element of skill and challenge or the game will get boring.
@@daltonv5206 This a way better reply take notes @madknox4666
Looking for some opinions on this, i've seen the monetisation of ships and stuff for the game and they can get very expensive and i heard that the more expensive tiers were not created by the devs alone but the community asked and begged for higher tiers. can anyone confirm if that is actually the case?
spend 45$ once. anthing more than that is your choice.
All ships are earnable in-game using in-game credits, and all the "starter" ships (read: cheap ships for new players) are good enough to start off with (some are better than others). Personally, I wouldn't spend anymore than $60 on a ship currently, which I think is a fair price for what you get with SC right now. There is no real reason to spend any more than $100 at the most on a ship unless you want to support development and you really want to get access to a certain ship ASAP. The high tiers exist because there will always be people willing to pay for it (even if only a relative few) and because it's a major source of funding.
I personally wasn't planning on spending any of the money on those packages but I just wanted to know if the claims of the higher tier packages were from the player base asking for them
@@jjbeast00 I mean even if that's true it's a chicken and the egg scenario. I mean they JUST released a new concept that's apparently a super dope cargo ship that everyone is salivating over. For just... $400-500. Did the fans ask for this? No, but they are really happy with it. Content creators all excited for it and just praising the devs for how good the ship design is. Some of them are realists saying "who knows when it will even be in the game" but it still sold and make CIG like 10 million (I think, millions for sure).
That all being said I think they are just more used to the prices and have settled into a sanctuary for Whales, they are welcome in SC, many many people have spent thousands on ships that don't even exist. They are used to the devs locking brand new game mechanics behind paywalls as well. The Vulture came out last year introducing salvage as a whole NEW activity/profession in the game. Well you can't buy 'new' released ships in-game because reasons (they want you to buy it in cash i assume) so for like 6 months you could only TEST the salvage gameplay loop if you spent $140 (now $175) to buy a ship that literally only flies and does salvage. Never before in gaming in an alpha has someone said you have to pay for like 3 video games to test a new activity in my alpha build.
I hope when the game releases it wont feel as gross, yes you can earn everything in game. But they are going to have to do more than "your ships dont go away during wipe" to keep people happy that have dropped like $5k. Fancy hats and EVOCATI, or whatever the fuck, special testing invites aren't gonna be the end of it. I fear it will be just really really P2W with rich people in real life having a much better time in game.
I hope I'm wrong about this, and the FPS gameplay becomes anything beyond a joke soon too! I spent very little money and time on the game but I'm interested in the potential just like everyone else.
@@ccloudleaf gotcha, thank you for the detailed explanation. I might end up picking up the standard edition and checking it out since I know what to expect
Great video, see you in 4.0 👍
Any eta on when we’re getting that sp tarkov mod list?
Theres a saved clip on his twitch in which he shows the mods and settings
If I could run this game higher than 45 fps half the time I would love it sm more :< thanks for the content on it running and looking so good!
45 frames is plenty to have a decent experiance! get in there!!
@hashy3 sadly that's the peak of my fps when I'm not in the dead of space or a small space station. But I agree, a super stable 45-50 fps is super playable.
@thehomiesrule123 have you turned the clouds down or off?? They are beautiful but they are a major hit to performance!
cpulasso? ram/process cleaner?
Gotta have 32 gb of ram now as a minimum requirement. Haven't played in years... with the 3.23.2 patch coming and 4.0 right around d the corner it's finally time to get a graphics card... right when the prices got reasonable.
i hate that you automatically slow down in space after accelerating
Just decouple. You keep all speed and momentum in space when decoupled. In coupled mode the ship uses reverse thrusters to stop when the throttle is released
push alt c. Its like a Tempomat. You keep your Momentum until you turn it off or adjust throttle
Playing for the first time? Why do you have 10mil credits?
Kudos for you to try and make this look interesting and entertaining. I feel like the game is still largely a tech demo where the expectations are the floor and the newest trend is "Look I can DO this, it actually works!" but all of it is without consequence or meaning until they add in more players, content, professions, and progression.
I do enjoy your approach to content. The game does look much nicer this patch too, but I can't bring myself to commit time to it until it has progression outside of just money making. Plus the entire reality of how the game will play out in a 1.0 setting is a massive question mark. It has the potential to be the most horrendous P2W game in history... they could make all the ships buyable in game 100+ hours to grind meanwhile whales just dropped $400 NO PROBLEM on the newest ship concept released- and they have no idea when it will be even in the tech demo available test. Any semblance of progression or competitive nature will be down the drain if the only thing to do in the game is get ships, and people literally spend thousands IRL to have a fleet of massive carriers collecting dust in hangers. (And those guys are still thinking they will fly the carriers solo bc they bought it right?)
Sorry for the rant, lol nice vid.
The game is boring. There's practically no sense of prgression. So much shit was bugged my first week of playing it felt basically impossible to complete quest. You waste so much time due to bugs and overall jank game mechanics. The universe feels so dead. All the quest lack personality and feel like they were made bare minimum effort. There is not reason to interact with players except to fight or rob them. Theres no real economy. I can't recommend this shit to anyone in its current state. It's horrible.
They are taking an extremely long time to make this game or sim/roleplay. It’s going to need much more time to develop but I don’t think the overall design is going to change. I think it will always be this game where this is no meaningful goal. I would like to see more mmo aspects and in game features for orgs so players can be apart of something more then their character/ ships
because this is alpha and nothing has been released.
