Too Scary?
The Haunted Mansion is dark and contains some mildly frightening scenes, but there is no gore, the ghostly residents are friendly and the ride is slow-moving.

I once got stuck at the part where you're in front of the band in the graveyard. The music was quieter, and I was actually able to hear the animatronics. The harp one was bopping his head and it was so squeaky!
I feel bad for the attendant that has to say “watch your step” 3000 times a day 😂😂😭😭

It must be liberating working this ride, you get to use deadpan tones with sarcastic dialogue towards visitors and get away with it lol.

Daria would be perfect for the job. I rode this in January. Best experience ever!!! Had to refrain from making dead puns during the stretching room !
Until someone really funny shows up and tries his or hers absolute hardest to make you smile and laugh which you are not allowed to do.... my dad was one of those men. The girl got off her shift just shortly after dad got too far away to continue making jokes. And she pointed him out to the one taking over her shift and said “watch out for him, he’s gonna do everything to make you laugh and he almost got me.”

Great quality video! This is my favorite ride but i haven't been in a few years. Thanks for taking the time to record and upload this footage.
I also agree that people talking, laughing during the stretching room is really annoying. Same with people looking at their phones or taking flash photography.

Honestly, I once accidentally took a flash photo during this ride. I was 14 and was excited for the Nightmare Before Christmas version cause I heard about Jack being in the attack instead of the hanged man and I really wanted a photo of it. I got it and it looked great, but I forgot I had the flash on and was so apologetic and embarassed cause it might have ruined the experience for someone else.

But I also miss Jolly Roger, the skull that talked while you were entering Pirates of the Caribbean. “Ye come seeking adventure an salty ole pirates aye? Sure you come to the proper place. But keep a weather eye open and hold on tight, with both hands if you please. There be squalls ahead, and Davey Jones waitin for them wat don’t obey heh heh heh” 😏

Excellent video - really like being there! The lighting is actually how I wish it would look in real life, a great full-on experience. It is a tad annoying though how slow Cast Members seem to be at times admitting guests to the foyer before the spiel and portrait effect begins. I appreciate the loop time has been reduced a bit over the years, but I know if you admit guests moments after a stretch room closes the next group should see the portrait for at least 10-15 seconds before it ages, not walk in after it has begun. I really don't get what the hold up is at times....
Agreed. It seemed like AGES standing there waiting for the stretching room to start. And I’ve NEVER seen the portrait age because it’s always completed the aging before I get inside.

@@AttractionsTube Yes, to be fair there is very little time in between - the stretch room closes, foyer re-sets and starts again after about 30 seconds. There are times when there are hold ups filling the stretch room so often in busy busy days they are opening the foyer halfway through a spiel (management won't let them miss a loop so if it's a late opening it's tough luck). But this looks like a pretty quiet time so they should be pouncing on that door once the previous group has gone in. One major problem is since 2009 the portrait has a two stage head-start over the spiel, if it began aging on the second line (like it used to) then those in first would be more likely to see it all as they can usually get the door open before the spiel begins. It's a shame it has not been addressed, as what you show here is what 90% of guests see on average (which is a bit phoned in on WDW's part), with the other 10% either being later or sometimes lucky enough to see it from the very beginning if the Cast Member is show conscious.. As for you missing it most times, it's because they only allow enough time for the first in to see it, everybody else misses it (too many guests to get through per hour to allow more time for it).

Haunted Mansion
This sounds and looks amazing! Curious what camera and lens combo you used for this.
This was a Sony a7Sii with a 20mm Rokinon Cine DS Prime Lens. Audio are two binaural microphones mounted in my ears recording to a Zoom H1
