On some course of unknown origin, where males get a self-deficiency in their gender functions and other properties...A massive, global pandemic of infertility, only in men - which we may or may not be rowing into the river of.
But that also requires male/female reproduction, you know like, pregnancy? It's a contradictory situation, I'll say that.

I know this will sound weird to some people and to some they will sadly know where I'm coming from. Stephen King saved my sanity as a teenager. When i read his books i could leave my horrible home life for a few chapters at a time. When people talk about his drug/alcohol abuse. He's human. Shit happens. Mr. King is the one who told us He had a problem. He's overcome His addictions and is a better man for it. Be like Stephen King!

I don't know Stephen King personally but what he was saying and how he was saying it was irksome at best.... There are far more interesting points to made on the concept of the book rather than men boohooing over who is going to fold there laundry or clean there toilets and if you thought it was a joke there are more laughable things to say.

I am still convinced some of the stories that have been published under Joe and Owen's name have come from dad, at least to a degree...I was thinking about this and it makes sense...he created Bachman in an attempt to avoid saturating the market in the early days; maybe this is his way of helping to set his kids up for life. That's what I would do in his position. Either way the stories are all fantastic.

He was definitely joking. But in the same sense there are lots of men whose lives would be very different without women - a lot of men treat women almost like slaves to cook for them, look after them and nanny their children. How would these men react if their women just disappeared? I presume that is the premise the book is based around.

Don't know if I'll read this now or not. I could be wrong but it seems like this book has some sort of political statement to it as well with the story. If it was about alternate worlds where the ramifications of a world without women as well as a world without men in it then I might be more inclined to read. But, from what I've read, it seems pretty one-sided. In my opinion, there needs to be both women and men in the world to keep everything going. Not all the time, but on average there are just some things women are better at than men and vice versa. Anyways, I'll probably end up getting the book so I can have it in my collection. Don't know when I'll actually read it though. Just my opinions, I'm a huge King fan.

I get that political sense too. Hopefully, the novel resolves to the idea that both sexes are required in equal ratios. I have the feeling it will show the world's collapse after all the women are sedated and men are left to their devices which may seem like the ideal world for men, as many men are fighting for now (haha) but ultimately they will turn on each other. Survival of the fittest. ...hopefully it's not one-sided!

Right, and this is just my own opinion. So what's the problem?

There's no problem, I think people should just read a book or watch a movie without thinking that the artist has some sort of political agenda to force on people.

James Blackburn wrote a book called, "A Scent of New-Mown Hay" A plague infects the women of earth, and they awaken horrible violent beast. Much like sleeping beauties, except it four hundred pages shorter.

King was raised by his mother, and he had no father. He has a black an white view of the world.

I wonder if during writing of this novel the authors grew vaginas were balls should have been. I have never read so much wokeness. Action was great however but you know what they say: Go woke, get broke.

Maybe next they'll do a book about a world without men. HA! that I would read. But King doesn't write humor does he. It would probably be unintentionally funny then.

Some of his short stories actually are sort of dark comedy. But I know what you mean, and no, he don''t. Uses humour to ram home the horror, sure. Anyway, a bit off topic. But maybe I can direct your attention to Margaret Atwood in lieu of King having written any books about a world of matriarchs? She do sci-fi/not-horror-horror, but still pretty horror-ish/satire, and she's pretty good at it too. "Handmaid's tale", you may know from the TV-series; the book is awesome. Ortherwise I'll recommend "Oryx and Krake"

Collaborated? In this case, he could write about toilet paper and it would be printed. What are the publishing companies going to say,...."No, your book is lame"?. Lol. Hope he is as good as his dad. If even close, it will be great.

WE BROKE GODS LAW. 2000 YEARS AGO, GOD PROVIDED A SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST WHO SUFFERED AND TOOK OUR PUNISHMENT ON THE CROSS. THE BIBLE SAYS IF WE DECLARE WITH OUT MOUTH JESUS IS LORD AND BELIEVE IN OUR HEART GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD YOU SHALL BE SAVED. Romans 10-9. GOD WILL FORGIVE YOUR SINS AND GRANT YOU EVERLASTING LIFE ALL BECAUSE OF WHAT JESUS DID ON THE CROSS
