How could anyone over take bedard. For years we’ve been hearing about how he’s the lock number one, he’s like mcdavid or Matthews. He’s an nhl super star in waiting. His performance has backed that up. I don’t see how he doesn’t go 1.
It’s basically the McDavid vs. Eichel thing. Both Bedard/Michkov are rare prospects that would go 1st in basically any year, but one is decidedly better as a prospect, even if it’s not by light years. There will be some kind of comparison of who is better because that’s just what happens every year, but there’s basically zero chance Bedard doesn’t go 1st, especially with the Russian factor.
Bedard a future top 3 player in the world. It'd be foolish to draft anyone over him, even Michkov. This is looking like a stacked draft, especially for Forwards. Bedard, Michkov, Fantilli, Carlson, Yager, Benson, Dvorsky just to name a few

Bedard would still go first, but michkov was already a risk due to how long he is under contract for in Russia. It would be dumb to pass him up at 3, 4, 5, etc., but it’s really not that big of a deal.

I think Michkov might have a higher iq, but Bedard is physically more talented. Better hands, shot, skating, etc… Plus Bedard is a center, it’s a toss up, you can’t go wrong either way.
I would say Bedard is the better player overall and has a higher ceiling I bet you he will be the best nhl player of the next generation michkov will be up there as well dont think he will be better than Bedard tho.
Michkov is better for me. He plays with men while Bedard is still with juniors. But that contract and the situation in russia will scare some teams which is understable. There is teams that cant wait for 3-4 years for him to come over. He will still go in the first round but might not go as a top 5 but that has nothing to do with talent. Him and Bedard is the best players in this draft.
bedard is a tier A+ prospect.. the rest of the top 5 bunch isnt that. but maybe, in the 20 years, someone other than bedard will go down as the greatest player from this draft, who knows.. but right now, bedard has the percentage.

And Michkov has been in the conversation just as long as Bedard, ever since he put up 70 GOALS in 26 GAMES as a 14 year old in a U16 league.

Michkov is superior. It's the way he thinks the game. It's just beyond everyone else.

Michkov has played a grand total of 17 games with “men”… 14 in the khl and 3 in the vhl and his stats have been less than impressive
Not very, Mitchikov will fall out of the top 3.
