They lived in such a brutal way in those days!
Nothing is changed!!!
Burrying our love ones even they were cremated, it is to let their soul rest when they are buried.
A beautiful story of love of a mother to her sons.
So agree
Wow. This is a beautiful story, the one I'm looking forward to on this channel to upload. Though I've heard of this story somewhere but I forgot it. Waiting for more unfamiliar, not so well-known stories. Thanks.
I am loving this channel. Catching up on parts of the bible I never read or studied or even heard of growing up. I just turned 50.
Question. The woman stood over the bodies of her sons for weeks or months. But why did she not bury them? Was it forbidden due to the circumstances or a woman could not initiate a burial in that culture? I am sure she would have other relatives or friends who could help dig a hole somewhere and put them in. No? But yes I do realize a divine lesson is being taught by the story.
In my country my dad was "cut off" from his family and tribe so when he passed and my mum informed them they wanted no part in it. So she gathered her sisters and some friends and me and my brother and buried him. This story got me tingling to be honest. Hmm.
Sad story on the later time and death of king soul …it gives me a teary eyes 😢
Its kind of sad that people find some sort of fault in either spelling or something they dont like. When in fact it should be viewed as word from GOD. Im sure hes not sighing because there a s instead of z. Great video. Thank you
Correction:
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6
King James Version
5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
MJHope...yes "under the sun" that means on earth, once you physically die your "body"tent is dissolved not your spirit , soul... scripture is clear on this.
Study the book of ecclesiastes it is about man's reasoning. Also called vanity of vanities. Jesus set things straight the dead are in heaven or hell waiting judgement. Read the greek and Hebrew, dig deep into the scriptures. In Jesus mighty name! God bless you!
Wouldn't any real mother do that though? I understand her perfectly and would have done the same, Lord protect me from such a pain!
❤😂😂😂🎉😢😮😮😅😅
Where is this in the Bible I don't recall ever seeing this?
You spell her name Rizpah. The account is in 2 Samuel 21.
Wait. The woman was a gibeonite. But her children were not considered gibeonite because they were fathered by an Israelite.? So they were then executed by gibeonites to satisfy a dispute with the Israelites? Huh? Its like sacrificing my grand child bevause they have a foreign offending father. What the .... But I think k we should present the story as it is not add sensational titles like "shocking". No it was not shocking it was normal in that era. Just say so. In my country through the 19th century your children would be taken if you could not pay your creditors. They would likely end up sold and resold many times to Arab or European slave traders. We should not sugar coat it as shocking when it was perfectly normal behavior at the time to all parties involved. Today we do other stuff. Just say it as it is so we learn and do better.
There is no rispa in my kjv.
2 Samuel
21:10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
21:11 And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
Depends what country your from. Z and s mean the same.
Where does it say Rispa descended from the Gibeonites? Her father was Aiah
Aiah or Ajah seems to be a Horite, the son of Zibeon, and an ancestor of a clan in Edom. more research is needed
