Todays video is going to look at the near complete history of The Spot, one of Spider-Man's most deadly villains (despite whatever fake fans might think). Johnathan Ohnn made his comic debut as a scientist working for the kingpin. After a scientific breakthrough caused Spots to form all over his body he decided to take up a life of crime that hasn't always worked out for him.

I've always felt that the most obscure characters can be so much cooler than the mainstream characters if Done properly. And after watching across the spider-verse it really proves that I was right on that.
I feel the same way. Like i mention in my video, sometimes all it takes it the right person to believe in a character and see the potential in a story for them to resonate with people. Spider-Man has one of the best rogue galleries in all of comics, but we only consistently see 5-10 of them across media. Its time to let The Spots shine.

Every single one of these cherictors be it marvel or dc have taken strides in the last decades to become some of the most loved and/or feared villians in their vers. Hell some like the orb, molecule man and the spot have even been readjusted in class once their powers were better defined

@@eduardopantoja9115 Spiderman 90s animated series, comics, spectacular spiderman, and soon to be Spiderman 2 for ps5 will treat Venom very well.
I love the “horror” design of spot in spider verse. It’s just so creepy, this tall lanky, no face entity. And when spot owns himself instead of hiding himself he is terrifying

I'm glad characters like Polka Dot Man & The Spot got their time to shine in the big screen.
Ended up really coming across as character characters. It’s cool to see someone take a joke character and make them awesome!

Yes, me too! I remember him from The animated series, but now he really place himself up there with the top tier.
I always thought the Spot was incredibly powerful and dangerous, I’m glad ATSV is showing us that.

He is the most slept on spider man villian of all time. He can do things carnage, venom, doc oc and everybody’s golden villian the green goblin wish they could do what he can do
Green goblin is the reason Gwen is dead. Venom knew his identity , traumatized his wife mj, carnage can take on spiderman and venom, doc oc stole peters body.

I remember spot mostly for getting absolutely destroyed by carnage and then having his abilities stolen by Carnage.
I guess Carnage wanted to remind him why he's A list while Spot is C list

Fun fact: the spot was supposed to be one of the villains in the TASM films. He was teased at the end of the first movie and the post credits scene in the second film

i had never heard of that. I know oct, vuture, and rhino were... but i dont recall seeing anything referring to the spot.

Maybe when he dies he just respawns in the spotted dimension.
Yeah, they don’t ever explain it… but my theory is that he is not human anymore and made entirely out of light/dark energy, and his consciousness resides in that dimension. So unless you destroy the whole dimension he just comes back over and over.

You can’t. He is immortal.
Spot canonically always had 1 usable weakness: he has a finite amount of spots. Which granted he is trying to rectify by just getting ALL the spots. Still though, even if he cannot be permanently stopped, thwarting him every time is still a valid option. Of course, there also the option to actually convince him to not be bad...
