Brian Robertson is so great on this record! Wish he could’ve stuck around for one more album. I can imagine how great it would’ve been. Real nice playing on this corker!! Cheers!!!
Yeah, he is a fantastic player. With Lizzy he was the perfect partnership with Scott. With Wild Horses, he was so good and with this album he really added something to that monumental Motorhead sound. It's a great album, that really sticks out in the Motorhead catalog - for some people not in a good way.
Very well performed, excellent vibrato and feeling!!! You must be a Robbo fan, like me. Fabulous, when in the mood, soloist and complex harmony player. When the press keep asking him why he joined Motorhead, with his inspired work with Lizzy, he answers ironically "What?". His greatness and organic guitar feeling don't fit. Thank you so much for this lovely journey!
Thank ya! Yeah, a huge Robbo fan. Such a great player, like you said his harmony and solo composition is incredible. Love his use of the Wah Wah as well. The 2 Wild Horses albums are inspired playing from him.
Wow! Hello my friend! it's amazing! It's wonderful video! It's a wonderful rhythm guitar cover performance! It's wonderful! Nice upload! And it's great high quality video! I really like it! Very interesting! Thank you for sharing!
Cheers Brian. Yeah, these old Melody Makers are so resonant. My '65 one almost sounds like a piano when you tap the body, as you can hear the the sounds of the strings vibrating through it. I guess these are probably the last of the affordable pre-Norlin era Gibsons.
Very good cover Dunsy. I need to revisit the album as I was definitely of the not-quite-Motörhead opinion at the time. But there’s no denying Robbo is a guitar legend. Was lucky enough to see the classic Lizzy lineup a few times. That Melody Maker sounds great by the way. Keep the covers coming.
I remember that when they released "Shine" you could get it in a double pack with the "Golden Years EP" - I guess they had copied left of that. There could not be two more different sounds from the one band! I really like this album, Robbo is such a great player. My memory tells me that we had tickets for the Edinburgh show on this tour (with Anvil) and it was cancelled at the last minute. Sucks.
I too, like some of your other followers are not that familiar with Motorhead and have been encouraged to give them a serious listen. Thanks for the encouragement. I am interested to know your criteria when selecting your guitar for the various songs. Maybe its enough for a separate episode? Cheers.
Definitely worth checking this album out. Sticks out in the Motorhead catalog, that's for sure! Selecting guitars - that's a great question. Generally I just use whatever guitar I have been playing that day (and hope it doesn't have really filthy strings!). This old Melody Maker sounds great on most stuff. It has an old Japanese Super Distortion copy in it, no name or anything.
Cheers Jimmy! Yeah, the GE-150 - I pretty much use it on the one patch for everything (the Plexi 100) and just add/subtract drive pedals. Really pleased with how it sounds. Killer wee unit for not a lot of money.
Alright Dunsy, love the tune mate, what's the name of yer band nowadays? I'm a mate of Hideo he sent me the vid of the Cas Rock so I've tuned into yer channel man, good stuff on here 🤘cheers
Idk why another perfect day is so hated, lemmy too hated (in stagefright 2004 in Dusseldorf joke on that) is a very good album, not at all Motörhead style but robbo did a really good job. My favourite album

That was very cool. Love the Melody Maker BTW, very simple underrated guitar. Thanks for the share, one of my faves from them. Take care

Magic 👍🏻👍🏻🥰
Classic Robbo guitar on this fine album - no easy to replicate on one guitar, that's for sure!

Cheers Adam, great album.
My fave band of all time.
One of the best, for sure. Did it their way and didn't care what anyone else thought.
Very cool cover man.
Cheers Ben, tough one to get right. Almost there!
I attempted this a while back, this shows that I missed a note or two. Oh well. Good job 👍
It's a tricky one - like all the songs on this fine album!
@@DunsysGuitarWorld likewise. I like “Back At The Funny Farm” the best!
What an amazing sound you have going here Dunsy. I love it. Your playing is absolutely ACE. 👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸
Cheers Mike, some great playing from Mr Brian Robertson on this fine album.
This is such a cool cover!! You absolutely nailed it! :D
Thanks Sir, appreciate you checking it out.

@@DunsysGuitarWorld Thanks for that Dunsy. So you are definately not like The Edge who has a different guitar for each song!!
hey! awesome!
Thank ya!
🙌🔥🔥🔥🙌
Thank ya! 🤘
You can rock that guitar like nobody's business Dunsy!! That tone is like candy man - are you using the Mooer for this one? It sounds excellent!
Cheers Jimmy! Yeah, the GE-150 - I pretty much use it on the one patch for everything (the Plexi 100) and just add/subtract drive pedals. Really pleased with how it sounds. Killer wee unit for not a lot of money.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld They do sound great - I'm loving the GE-250....fun for the whole family :)))
Like.😎
Thank you Faruk!

Brilliant, thank you!

Ah, Repro back in the day, what a place! Hope yer well, Sir. Been a while.
Lots of stories from that place for sure.
great cover once again dunsy alesson would be good
Cheers Alex. Hoping to do a lesson for this at the weekend. Great tune, kinda tricky to play.
No Guitar solo?
Doubt I would ever be able to play Robbo's solo correctly on this.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld haha.

It’s a great album - Robbo is stellar on it. I guess it was just too much of a change at the time. Listening back now I still think it’s fantastic.
It's funny but it's the only time Motorrad had melody
There are so many guitar tracks on this album - sounds fantastic, but a killer to try and work out something to play that covers it all.
