Not surprised Ice Cube had this experience at all lol.

I remember when all this went down. You couldn't just go in the record store and buy the album, or cassette, because certain cities had banned it. Record store owners were told by police they would be shut down if they sold this music. It was full blown total violation of First Ammendment rights, accusing NWA for inciting riots just for singing on records. When, in fact, the only threat of violence came from the police themselves. In our eyes, these were brave men, who stood up for citizens' rights, and were not afraid to speak on the day to day realities of life in tha hood, racism, and police brutality. I remember my father showing me the newspaper articles about it all, and he got a hold of an NWA tape and I played that thang till the ribbon broke and I couldn't splice it anymore!
