I'm a straight white male, and I know that automatically puts me in the privileged category in a lot of people's minds. That being said, I've been struggling a lot with mental health and family issues lately but watching your videos has inspired me. I loved when you and Candace were talking about how you can become a prisoner of your own thoughts and beliefs, but on the flip side, if I believe in myself I can be whatever I want to be in life. Our perception creates our reality, so if I focus on graditude and humility, I can and will live a better life in general. Thanks for all your content, and keep up the good work.✌️
I'm not a huge fan of Candace. She's always come off as very catty, vindictive, and petty to me. But she (mostly) handled herself well here and gave very good answers to these questions. Apart from the one where she seemed to misunderstand and answered the wrong question. The main thing I would do that none of these conservatives who come to these colleges do is tell these students the TRUE history of gender ideology. Tell them about John Money. Tell them about poor David Raimer and his brother. Tell them the roots of what they are supporting and I guarantee more of them would listen compared to simply telling them, "Stop whining and grow up."
That doesn't work on people like that. They give a long speeches explaining facts and their views before they take questions and they will still make ignorant statements and ask ignorant questions. They're not interested in listening and learning.
@@jwaddell318 which is why the students deserve to 'whine' bc they're not getting listened to in the first place. i disagrre with everything in this vid like people should not simply get over it and push it under the rug. like they deserve to fight for what is right and literally normal and natural. why should we ignore it. amir said at the beginning that it is okay if people are doing things like slurs and stuff bc of free speech but i disagree bc it literally affects people on varies levels. causing mental issues even. why should we just let that happen?
@@Kai1028-ol2gt Yeah, I get the "free speech" thing as well, but admittedly, I've BEEN yelled at, being practically screamed "f*** this" and had violent reactions toward myself - all from the same person (of whom I realized was a toxic ex-friend, but may have had other issues that I didn't know about)! I'm fine if you wanna talk to people in certain ways, but if someone asks you to please not refer to them as whatever or to please not cuss at them, just...Respect that? There's a reason why I hate certain songs, movies, and such; Because it is filled with vulgarity and I can get uncomfortable with it (even moreso if it's a bunch of angry yelling). I'm slowly becoming more able to handle it, but only if it's not used toward me ("f*** you", "you're a b****", etc). I still won't watch super adult content, though, but there are more reasons aside from language here that aren't related to the topic. I have trans and non-binary friends, so I'm NOT gonna refer to them as pronouns they don't want to have directed toward them. If someone asks me to refer to them as what they identify as, I will out of RESPECT, not because "oh I'm offended you called me thattttttt". If they YELL AT ME, then I'll just lightly apologize and/or simply walk away. Quite frankly, while I am a cis-female, I still would rather be referred to as "sir" or something more gender neutral vs "ma'am" or "Ms". I'm okay with she/her pronouns, but the titles irk me; Either call me by just my name, or just say "you" if you're the "ma'am", "miss", whatever type, lol. Or if you wanted to amuse me..."Boss".
@@Kai1028-ol2gtyou say it’s “literally normal and natural” but when was that decided? When did it become normal to demand people refer to you a certain way? When did it become natural to go through hormone and aesthetic therapy? The struggle shouldn’t be swept under the rug, but how can we move past it positively if we’re not allowed to discuss it or are only able to discuss it in the “proper” way? If it’s normal now it wouldn’t be such a hot topic. To your second point, slurs are hurtful and it’s not right to say them, but free speech covers all speech. Who gets to decide which words are banned? What does banning words do for discourse? Good speech can and does win over bad speech. We beat bad ideas by pointing out why they are bad and convincing others to change their ways, not by blanket banning anything that could hurt someone’s feelings. That is sweeping the problem under the rug without doing anything to address it.
My nephew is a gay man and he says the same thing. He feels like the current narrative is a bad look for gay men. He says the LGBTQ is not a real "community", it's a social engineering ideology, and he is appalled at the idea of directing kids to focus on sexual concepts of any kind.
One of the core traits of a narcissist is they will say what they like to people, regardless of how it makes the other person feel, but they can not take it themselves. You can not say anything in return. This is a direct result of the "everyone gets a prize" generation. I was born in the last year of Gen X. There were no primary school awards back then, we had to wait until high school, and it was based on merit. My son is in his third year of primary school, he has four trophies and maybe 7-10 laminated academic awards. It's out of control, we are telling them they are all so special. And yeah, my son is special TO ME. He doesn't have to be special to everyone else, and I have made sure he understands that, unfortunately most parents don't. It creates precious victims.
I think it is a regional thing and varies based on school district and state. I’m a millennial, and I NEVER had the “everyone gets an award” 🥇 award. What’s funny is I distinctly remember some kid trying to do that for our fourth grade class, and the teacher told him to suck it up and try harder. I think that’s how you have some people like Amir who are very tolerant of things vs some kids who grew up in districts where they frequently got participation awards who then become super sensitive.
I was always called an "Oreo" growing up, I didn't care because I was comfortable in my uniqueness. My Uniqueness has taken me to the places that some African-American people called "rigged". Hell, a rumor was actually set up that I slept my way to my promotion. I didn't, working 60hrs a week 20 of that overtime each week. I worked hard and I'm a Social Butterfly and I have always understood the idea shmoizing and I can schmooze with the best of them. I say to that Young African-American Woman do you Boo because trust everyone telling you that you are this than and a third will be doing them for their advancement. I still laugh that my college friends have always looked at me like I was a Candace Owens. I'm not a Hard Right like Candace but that doesn't mean I can't agree with some of the things she says.
I agree with some of Candace points ,but some times I disagree with her points to and I’m willing to hear her point of view on things. I am Caribbean1American Black man.
I feel what makes so many of these conversations difficult is that many times the transpeople or those supporters of them are very aggressive right from the beginning. It's like they just want to argue and not really have an intelligent exchange. It has become "My way or the Highway". No rational conversation can be accomplished like this.
I've noticed that the people who say things like "you're only mad when you're losing" in regards to trans people in sports always look like the only sport they'd win at is drinking a can of chilli through a straw... or speed eating a bag of doritos...
“You’re only mad because your losing” could be flipped right back around on them and that’s a dark path to go on. Imagine where we’d be if we told the “losers” of society that it’s not unfair, they just suck. Racism? Of course you’d cry racism, loser! Sexism? Of course you’d cry sexism, loser!
“They are jaded to the blessings they have everyday” That relates so well to a sermon I just heard. We all have: - a fight - a fruit - a fence - and a future If you concern yourself with your fights, and ignore your fruits. Your fence will be broken down and you will be denied your future. BUT, if you focus on your fruits (blessings) then God will fight for you, and your fence will stand. You will be guaranteed your future.
I appreciate your views as a gay man, a black man A HUMAN! I am thankful for your video exposing the flaws in transitioning and trying to go back after. Personally, I'm sick of these people that think their feelings are more important than science (REAL SCIENCE) and the truth. Grow up it's not all about you!!!! This look at me generation is never going to make it in the real world.
It’s the narcissism, Social Media is responsible for creating that social problem. People cannot be just see other perspectives when it comes to other realities. Relentlessly, it means that people are going to the “Narcissistic” ME ME GENERATION. Basically it just means that the world revolves around how social media and the Internet has created the 100% narcissistic people.
If people want acceptance, they have to be willing to give it in return. Just as simple as that. And to agree, to disagree is a thing which is common in life.
I’m a small commentary UA-camr and I wanted to speak about the “woke society”, “black community” & other issues we are facing in America but I’ve always been scared of the backlash from “woke” people, that I never did. It’s very hard to find rational LGB creators, especially ones with such rational thinking as you. Love the content and will definitely subscribe for more!
I understand why some might dislike Candace, she says it how it is, not how they want it to be. We are some of the luckiest people alive to be born in America. We can be whoever we want, do whatever we want, and as long as it's within our very loose judicial confines (compared to other countries) you can live a nice quiet life. These people act as if we're running through the streets picking them off one by one... Most of us do not care because we're simply trying to make it through our days with what sanity we have. The constant trauma dumping is too much.
Well, you cant exactly walk into a store and start taking whatever you want without paying for it…there are consequences. Saying otherwise is naive. Sometimes I wonder if you like her because she says the things that you might be too afraid to say in public?
12:40 the reason a miscommunication happened is because she tried to use it as a “gotcha!” Question, she purposely didn’t add in that the wrestler was born female so that when Candace obviously says “a born man shouldn’t compete against born women” she could go “but he was born female, so you support him competing there!” And then she pivoted into “separate but equal” when Candace followed up that trans people should have their own league if they want to compete

I love your common sense amir and we need more people like you to speak up. Its sad we are the minority now for having a brain and thinking critically and not always just with "feelings."
Not feeling safe because of rhetoric that disagrees with your personal view of your personal self isn’t a threat. If people were saying “eliminate all trans people” it’d be a problem worth caring about. But they’re not. The hyperbole in that community isn’t doing them any good mentally or politically. I know its a lot to ask people like this be realistic but they simply must get a grip if they want to be heard and taken seriously.

I’ve read in a book that most of the millennial generation absolutely HATES the past and where we come from, they do think is a horrible past and we should forget about it and start talking about how WE feel and not caring about others and move on with our lives helping one another. We have become so selfish and narcissistic that this generation would praise you for being gay but not doing the things that this world actually needs! Because tbh nobody cares about your identity in reality! It’s crazy to see this kind of specie we have become.

@AmirOdom. There’s a big part missing out of what the girl said, after she was done talking about a transman wrestler against women wrestlers. After she brought up that Lia Thomas came second in a men’s race so being first against women in a women race isn’t a big jump from second to first. The girl wouldn’t except the fact that Lia was ranked in the 400’s as a man & number 1 in the woman division, she just kept repeating second to first isn’t a big difference (or something like that). That’s why Candace was talking about Lia because she was answering the “second to first difference” the girl kept saying. Hope this makes sense.

What you said at the end reminded me of an old saying: a man moves to a new town and meets a local and asks what kind of people live here. The local asks how the people in his old town were and he replies that they were wonderful, friendly, charitable and kind. The local told him that the people in this town were just like too. Later another man told him that he was a new arrival who wished to find out what the people here were like. Again, he asked how they were in his old town. He said they were a right miserable bunch, unfriendly and unkind. The local told him that they were just like that here too. Meaning you get the energy back that you give out. It always resonated with me and I hope it inspires you too.❤
How will we ever communicate when free speech is being limited. Debates, persuasion arguments, and just sharing opinions would never occur if we had the “I don’t feel safe because of what you said” people run things
These people who focus so much on hurt feelings, I wonder what kind of environment they were raised in to think anyone can go through life in the real world without getting their feelings hurt. Everyone's feelings get hurt, everyone feels intimidated by someone, everyone gets insulted - this is not exclusive to any one group of people. It has to do with being an adult or an adult child.

@@michaelhouk7603 I would say it's just something she came up with in the moment and didn't have time to think through but I'm sure the events are posted way before Candace shows up so this seems to be something she just thought was a good idea and didn't think over before showing up or getting to the mic😅
@@SpectreBagels ill agree with that.
Being deceptive in a question is a good way to show people you're untrustworthy and not worth giving time to.
She did do that on purpose I agree.
I look forward to the day that you yourself are giving college speeches. I truly believe that you will.
Candace wasn't fully aware of the Mack Beggs situation but Beggs had no business competing against female wrestlers who weren't getting Mack's level of performance-enhancing hormone treatment.
Amir, you are THE MAN! I’m a center left ideology type of straight guy and what you speak about is on the money! I’m a huge fan.
I am a politically neutral who chooses what political side has good points on some issues and problems on others.
“Victimized” “unsafe” “stochastic terrorism”
Words have no meaning anymore
When kids and young people stopped being encouraged to overcome their fears and push themselves to do things they were too afraid to do, we started going downhill as a society. Nothing builds confidence and generally well-rounded individuals like doing and getting past things that were otherwise too intimidating or uncomfortable.
While people's feelings are valid and we should m, the worst thing wevsþtartedh
So like...1990s?
Well, there’s too many people who want safe spaces and see themselves as the victim and don’t want to grow up, which is sad
I called this with the darn participation trophies. Did absolutely no good for anyone involved.
Lamo, I seem to have fallen asleep in the middle of my comment and it got posted anyway. I'm only now getting notifications of people liking it and just realized that not only did it post, but it posted with my sleeping gibberish at the end. 🤣🤣
Anyway, glad the gist of what I was trying to say was legible.
A voice of reason in this crazy world is very refreshing 👌🏽
Tbh I respect her patience 😅, I would've snapped way more at those who were acting bratty
Common sense and optimism; thank you so much for your channel! You’re a consistent breath of fresh air.
Thx Amir. You are a balanced guy in the community. I need this im gay and dont identify with queer or lgbtqia
My nephew is a gay man and he says the same thing. He feels like the current narrative is a bad look for gay men. He says the LGBTQ is not a real "community", it's a social engineering ideology, and he is appalled at the idea of directing kids to focus on sexual concepts of any kind.

Love you Amir! Thank you for being sane in this world! Sending you love and hugs and prayers! 🙏🏻🎉💋😻
You and people like you that look at both sides and decide what you want. Those people are inspiring.
If I felt unsafe around someone I wouldn’t show up to their event and get in line to talk to them lol
I agree
I feel what makes so many of these conversations difficult is that many times the transpeople or those supporters of them are very aggressive right from the beginning. It's like they just want to argue and not really have an intelligent exchange. It has become "My way or the Highway". No rational conversation can be accomplished like this.
It’s not even a conversation, they just voice demands.
Thank goodness for you Amir; if only everyone had your sense.
“They are jaded to the blessings they have everyday”
That relates so well to a sermon I just heard. We all have:
- a fight
- a fruit
- a fence
- and a future
If you concern yourself with your fights, and ignore your fruits.
I have a daughter that wants to become a trans boy. While I will love and accept any decisions made, I want it to be a FULLY INFORMED decision. I've seen how the "gender dysphoria" has caused my baby so much depression and anxiety. It breaks my heart.
Basically it just means that the world revolves around how social media and the Internet has created the 100% narcissistic people.
trans people are real. sit back down... maybe educate yourself it will do no harm
@@Kai1028-ol2gt No one said they weren't real...so educate yourself!!! No one needs to be told to educate themselves IN WHAT YOU BELIEVE.
I like that a few of them found her and said after doing research you were right
If people want acceptance, they have to be willing to give it in return. Just as simple as that. And to agree, to disagree is a thing which is common in life.
I’m a small commentary UA-camr and I wanted to speak about the “woke society”, “black community” & other issues we are facing in America but I’ve always been scared of the backlash from “woke” people, that I never did. After watching your videos, I love how articulate you are with your discussion points and have been binge watching your videos to help give an outline as to how I can articulate myself better. I just got a new editing software as well so I’m super excited to jump into longer form videos. Thank you for your content! Stay great Amir
Why did you Say "a small commentary"? don't talk yourself like this 😊
My experience is that offline, most people from any background are reasonable and more understanding vs online. Most people in this world just want to enjoy a peaceful life with loved ones.
Just recently started watching your videos. I like the way that you speak. You're very intelligent and articulate. Thank you for sharing your insight.
''separate trans league" finally someone saying out loud! Yay Amir
Every video, Ive been yelling for you to preach! Your voice needs to be heard, it is like a fresh spring, we need more people sayjng it the way you are, I am so glad that we have people like you in the world still Amir.
You give me hope for the future that my children may never be brainwashed by this agenda, your channel is definitely going to be something I share with my children, I just hope it doesn't come to that, but still, all the best to you man.
I appreciate that you are keeping it all 💯 and that you represent a culture of free thinking. I like that "If you seek hate you will find hate" real talk.
You remind me so much of my Uncle man.. thank you very much for sharing your thoughts & words. It's refreshing to hear someone use common sense without pushing for either left OR right.

Thank you very much for posting this and for giving your answers to the questions so that I could hear your perspective and see this footage that I would not have otherwise seen.

I literally kept running into these clips of her and I ran into this video it was perfect! I loved hearing you speak!
Love the content good sir. Hope you are well.
Nice how you explain why and how your thoughts came to be.making people see with the mind is a gift.
You're so right about people outside of the US wishing they could have the opportunities you have. We feel so stifled out here. Our governments are literally suffocating us slowly... You speak up, you go to jail or get killed... It really is a clown world...

@@grethi8110 It sure has a lot of issues and is going downhill fast nowadays, but at least the public still has a fighting chance. If only they'd wake up and stop being so divisive...

Great answers from you, Amir. 👍
Love ya and agree with dude 100%. I absolutely believe in free speech so I know who my enemies are. If someone hates Jews, I'd rather know who it is so I can keep my distance. Love your channel ❤
Well you're going to need to keep your distance from a lot of people because more and more people are starting to realize that Zionist Jews are the cause of the majority of the worlds problems. They don't "hate" them, either... They just don't agree with what they are doing and their wicked agendas.
You are such a smart well spoken person. We need more people like you.

You can achieve whatever you put your mind to. EXACTLY! I'm LD & Dyslexic; public school decided that I would just work some minimum wage job my whole life. My parents had zero $ saved for college for me, so they thought it best to just never talk to me about college. 😮💨😑 By 9th grade I was dealing with serious clinical depression, (which my parents thankfully recognized & got me help). Despite all that I started my own business, & then started a 2nd, then a 3rd! I had faith in myself & decided not to give-up on myself like my school did. ❤
Another post from Amir, another great day 💕

When you said you personally think if you are trans you should just have your own league THANK YOU!!! I have been saying this for so long but the trans community can't make anything easy
