- The first legendary color palette which reconstruct an arbitrary pattern with about 1000 colors. The limit length of color palette is 1024 (correspond to a 32*32 icon).

it's a special colour palette, based on a little image (for example 32*32).
32*32 image is a matrix RVB (3 components per pixel). To encode it as a palette, every lines of the matrix are put end to end into a vector with a Matlab program I wrote. For example, the Palette corresponding to the 2*2 image ([Red,Yellow],[Black,Blue]) is [255,0,0 - 255,255,0 - 0,0,0 - 0,0,255]

So clever! I guess you could use any 32x32 image and encode it as a palette. I like the way the circular distortion resolves itself once you have 4 or more "palette Mandelbrot's" forming a perimeter. I'm soo going to copy this idea, now to find a suitable 33x32 picture and resist the temptation to be rude

As soon as I saw 32x32 image I though about writing a MATLAB program. Color matrices are a weak spot of mine in that program, glad I have a fun project like this to brush up on it.

Minibrot vs. Phantom Minibrot
This is the first example I have seen that has shadowy Mandelbrot set shapes in the color stripes between the details. How have I missed that for decades?
I was listening to Don't Fear the Reaper (Blue Oyster Cult), when I started this and substituted that for your audio. It fit very well. I recommend it.
It's a palette trick. the third one in this series has the *word* Mandelbrot repeating in the spirals the same way.
