Yep, PC gamer here too. Do all my high-end graphics games on PC and play Mario, Sonic, Pokemon type games on the Switch. Still blows my mind using a console on the go.
I haven’t purchased a console since 2013, and I haven’t purchased a Nintendo console since the Wii around when it launched. I’ve been watching the Switch grow and develop since it launched, and the announcement of the Switch Lite convinced me to pull the trigger and finally jump into the vast library of games. My expectations were blown away. I’ve never enjoyed a console this much, and still cannot get over how this little $199 handheld can play AAA titles like BoTW and Wolfenstein. It honestly feels like an entire gaming PC in my pocket, which would’ve been unbelievable to me as a kid playing on my atomic purple GameBoy Color. So, yes, I’m having more fun than ever and the Switch or Switch Lite is more than worth it in 2020 and beyond.

se Nope. Some games are prequels or sequels to others, but this game you can play without playing the others and understand everything. This is canon game, yes, but this game has it’s own complete storyline that is so good it makes you want more.
"If a game is good, its good." I agree wholeheartedly. I find myself reaching for games that don't even have AAA graphics - right now Hollow Knight and Pokemon are consuming all my time because they're FUN. I love that the Switch has a nice library of its own titles, and is also becoming a neat platform for "Complete" edition remakes and remasters. I played Iconoclasts on my Vita, but picking it up on the Switch really brought the game to life for me - being able to play it on the big screen and really appreciate the lovingly detailed graphics was just superb. Nintendo really knocked it out of the park this gen.
Discovering your channel the year before last really helped me decide whether or not I wanted the Switch, I went from not caring about it to being completely obsessed with getting one lol, now I have a Switch Lite as well and I love it
The third party support has been my favourite part of this thing so far. Being region-free is really nice because it means I can play the SE Asia releases of Super Robot Wars on it. Hadn't played one of those games since the GBA releases and having a Switch has let me get back into it.
i bought the switch last june so i was a late bloomer but it has still become my fave console. it’s so worth it and i love it to death so i def recommend buying one
if you already own a ps4, xbox one and/or gaming PC the switch lite is literally the best companion to that. it's actually ridiculous the good deal that console is.
7:15 "I just like having the option of having all of my games with me, but I rarely ever pull my switch out of the bag and actually play it. It's kind of just nice knowing it's all there" So clearly articulate why I so fascinated about buying (collecting) games recently and rarely just sitting there all day and playing them. XD
I was a Nintendo Main ever since the SNES. I just love the constant first party support Nintendo offers. Sony lacks sth like that completely (that's not to say there ain't any solid exclusives), but the combination of PC+Nintendo just covers for all my gaming itches and I honestly wouldn't even have the time for any more.
I was out of the Gaming world for a good 6-7 years. I bought an Xbox one on day one and I just kinda stopped playing it after a while. Maybe I got busier or dis-interested, I can't really say why I stopped but I did. When I saw the new switch in December and the new Luigi's Mansion game I bought one immediately. I LOVE IT!!! I feel like I did when I had my n64 back in the day. The games are so rich, vibrant, most importantly fun to play. I have gotten back into 2d platforms and other games I have not played in years. Nintendo has absolutely hit a grand slam with this console and I am so excited for what is to come! Who the heck is stillon the fence about these??!! How much more success do you need to convince yourself?
I love these videos even though I already know the answer. Imo, a system with great games, no matter how old, is worth it. And oh boy, does the Switch have some pretty damn good games.
I stopped my best friend from getting a switch light, not that it’s not a great system, it’s just that he hasn’t been gaming much over the past few years, using his xbox for Hulu and Netflix, so he had no idea the lite was portable only till I told him, he just thought it was a little smaller and could be docked now I’m just waiting to get him botw
I’ve always wanted a switch since my birthday, but my parents always say said no. Now that new animal crossing bundle is coming out I do want a switch now.
I got the switch lite because I got my 9 year old son a switch for his birthday and didn’t realize it was so fucking awesome I do not regret getting my self a switch lite I love it!
Lemme answer for ya: yes. Yes. YES. Absolutely. Definetly. For sure. mm-hmm. Yup. and so on... It's not a question, it's a statement. the Switch IS worth it.
"I can never tell that the resolution or framerate is compromised because the convenience of taking my games with me is worth way more than a few pixels. If a game is good it's good, whether that be at 240p or 1080p" - Bob Wulff (of Wulff Den), February 2020, 6:00 This perfectly defines Switch fans and why everybody should have a switch, it also has an extensive library full of amazing AAA's and an extensive list of wonderful indies.
That's the biggest lie. I'm a PC gamer so I'm USED to playing games at the highest resolution and butter smooth 60fps. My best friend brought over his Switch so we could all play Super Mario Kart together. He loaded up Spyro Reignited Trilogy on the Switch and I couldn't help but reel in horror at how washed out the graphics were and choppy the framerate was on the Switch. He didn't notice because that's the only copy he has, so he has nothing to compare it to. I noticed immediately because it was a blatant downgrade on every level. This game is so gorgeous at 1080 ultra and smooth at 60fps on my gaming PC and it's so choppy and dull on the Switch, at least comparatively. Anyone who claims to not be able to see/tell the difference is being dishonest or has never played the game on better hardware. For me, I'd much rather play a game at it's very best while at home instead of playing it at it's worst on the Go.
@@thebluetornado6185 well spyro is a 3rd party game, compare it to an actual first party game like botw. The graphics can be noticable but only if you want them to be, I have many pc nerd friends and over time they've devolved from: Wow fun game in higher res! to F*** this tile on the floor is only 1080p what sh** im going to rage about it on reddit.
@@TheGameChallenger I can't compare it to first party Nintendo games because those are exclusives. So obviously I'd have to make the comparison with third party games that are on other platforms. Your gaming PC friends at least have the choice to significantly upgrade if they're not happy with the performance or graphical limitations of their machine. My Switch friend is stuck with what is undeniably the worst copy of multiplats in existence. He knows now how much better they look and play on a powerful gaming PC. So now he's contemplating saving up for his own gaming PC.
I wish they'd have better game sales, Nintendo hardly ever drops prices on their games, so I end up buying everything on PC/PS4 unless it's a Switch exclusive.
You can buy a lot of cheap games on the eshop, even AAA like xenoblade. Just avoid physical games, specially from Nintendo, as much as you can. I have alot of exclusives, like octopath traveler and Mario + rabbits. And games like stardew valley are at the same price than steam.
During the January sales there were a lot of good games for less than 10€. I generally only buy physical, but if you have a decent SD card just buy digital, it's way cheaper on nintendo
Your sets are looking really good! I like how they are not the same in every shot. It is a nice change! Also, that set that looks like the outside looked incredible! I had no idea you actually went outside!
Not really sure I understand owning a switch and a switch lite for portable gaming. It’s like having a laptop but buying a second laptop with a 5% smaller screen and calling it your portable laptop
I go physical whenever I can, because I like to collect , and also it just feels more secure in that I'll always own the title I paid for, even if support for it drops years from now. I'm the same way with books; I don't hang on to a lot of stuff, as I hate clutter, but when I do it's for books and games. I do have several digital copies in smaller indie games/games that didn't get physical releases, however.
@@darkspeedsterz what? No, that doesn't make any sense, what i'm saying is that sword and shield are not as enjoyable as other pokemon games to people who never played a pokemon game, I would say the game is too slow and would make you bored very quickly. That has nothing to do with other switch games which are incredibly fun like zelda bowt and smash bros(this one i would consider buying it if you have friends to play with you, not soo fun otherwise)
Bought one a month ago. Wish I bought it in 2017. I have BOTW, Mario Oddysey/Kart, golf story and ring fit. Ring fit have changed my life, not even joking, amazing for a lazy guy like me.
I am surprised you didn’t get the V2 of the switch. I recently swapped my launch for a new v2 and the battery life is insane. I guess if you play in dock mode mainly it does not seem like it is needed.
GB games would be great since my 3DS has them. Then GBA. Eventually N64 when Nintendo sees a slow down in sales. Switch Pro with 1080p screen will definitely happen, launch window unknown.
I really love my Switch Lite. If your watching this video and your still on the fence about a Switch/Lite your should really try it out. I was on the fence aswell and bought a Switch Lite on launch day and I have been beyond happy with my purchase. I adore this console and it is defiantly my favourite handheld I have ever used.
The Switch is my favorite system of all time. It has MHGU, Breath of the Wild, Mario kart, Mario party, Just Dance, Rocket League,Super Smash Bros, lots of indie games, and lots of local multiplayer games. Nope. Some games are prequels or sequels to others, but this game you can play without playing the others and understand everything. This is canon game, yes, but this game has it’s own complete storyline that is so good it makes you want more.
"If a game is good, its good."
I agree wholeheartedly.
"Just get one already."
I wish I could T_T
Discovering your channel the year before last really helped me decide whether or not I wanted the Switch, I went from not caring about it to being completely obsessed with getting one lol, now I have a Switch Lite as well and I love it
Short answer: AC
Long answer: ANIMAL CROSSING!!!
All I want is a Mario and Luigi RPG for the switch SERIOUSLY. I can not believe that alpha dream went bankrupt. I’m heartbroken
With a gaming PC who would want a PS4 or Xbox One? 😂
@@mep6302
ps4: exclusives
xbox one: backwards compatibility/gamepass
Bro your videos made me decision to get a Switch. And I don't regret it. I take this thing everywhere.
XD
Yes, and I love how indie games come to the switch as well as kick starter games!!
I just wanted to say that I lost my switch for 2 years and I just found it
I was a Nintendo Main ever since the SNES. I just love the constant first party support Nintendo offers. Sony lacks sth like that completely (that's not to say there ain't any solid exclusives), but the combination of PC+Nintendo just covers for all my gaming itches and I honestly wouldn't even have the time for any more.

The Xenoblade remaster is coming this year
Zake Sure 👍 My man. 👌
And oh boy, does the Switch have some pretty damn good games.
just got a switch. thank you for the detailed video. don’t like much videos but i will be liking this. have a good one
got my switch 2017 and it still amazes me how great of a console it is, also this console made me fall in love with indie games.
I just revieved a Oled Switch for Christmas 2021. I'm starting to play it more than my PC.
"Or hell, even at work if you can get away with it."
Stop attacking me!
Short answer: yes
Long answer: *hell yeah!*
I’ve always wanted a switch since my birthday, but my parents always say said no. Now that new animal crossing bundle is coming out I do want a switch now.
I will say this, I bought my switch 4 months ago. It’s more then worth it.
*than. Learn to write!
@@mep6302 its the internet dumbass
I got a switch last year because of this same video last year and I am missing out because I can't afford a game. I'm grateful of the demos.
Short answer: yes
Long answer: of course!
Been watching you for years and never pulled the trigger on satisfye grip until this video!
Just bought it and used the code thanks bro
honestly, it would be hilarious if the switch went from being worth it for two years then stopped at three.
Just got a Switch 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'm a PC gamer so it's my first gaming console and it's fantastic. botw and pokemon are so much fun.
Lest be honest everyone who clicked on this knew the answer... which is yes
I got the switch lite because I got my 9 year old son a switch for his birthday and didn’t realize it was so fucking awesome I do not regret getting my self a switch lite I love it!
I’ve had the switch since September and I haven’t played any first party games
Get pokemon its really fun or smash or fire emblem three houses
Why the fuck you bought it then?
This video echoes my thoughts almost precisely. I only use my laptop and my phone more than my switch.
Lemme answer for ya:
yes. Yes. YES. Absolutely. Definetly. For sure. mm-hmm. Yup. and so on...
It's not a question, it's a statement. the Switch IS worth it.
"I can never tell that the resolution or framerate is compromised because the convenience of taking my games with me is worth way more than a few pixels. If a game is good it's good, whether that be at 240p or 1080p"
- Bob Wulff (of Wulff Den), February 2020, 6:00
This perfectly defines Switch fans and why everybody should have a switch,
it also has an extensive library full of amazing AAA's and an extensive list of wonderful indies.
Infact;
"I'd rather play a game at it's very best, sitting at home. Instead of playing it at it's worst, on the Go." Every TRUE Gamer.
@@thebluetornado6185 well spyro is a 3rd party game, compare it to an actual first party game like botw. The graphics can be noticable but only if you want them to be, I have many pc nerd friends and over time they've devolved from:
Wow fun game in higher res!
to
F*** this tile on the floor is only 1080p what sh** im going to rage about it on reddit.
@@thebluetornado6185 also why did you post your comment 3 times then deleted 2 of them?
@@TheGameChallenger I can't compare it to first party Nintendo games because those are exclusives. So obviously I'd have to make the comparison with third party games that are on other platforms. Your gaming PC friends at least have the choice to significantly upgrade if they're not happy with the performance or graphical limitations of their machine. My Switch friend is stuck with what is undeniably the worst copy of multiplats in existence. He knows now how much better they look and play on a powerful gaming PC. So now he's contemplating saving up for his own gaming PC.
I just bought one today I had no idea a switch was so expensive to play lol
I wish they'd have better game sales, Nintendo hardly ever drops prices on their games, so I end up buying everything on PC/PS4 unless it's a Switch exclusive.
Im about to get one today too☠️
You can buy a lot of cheap games on the eshop, even AAA like xenoblade. Just avoid physical games, specially from Nintendo, as much as you can. I have alot of exclusives, like octopath traveler and Mario + rabbits. And games like stardew valley are at the same price than steam.
lol i just bought one also i couldn’t help myself and i’m not looking back
During the January sales there were a lot of good games for less than 10€. I generally only buy physical, but if you have a decent SD card just buy digital, it's way cheaper on nintendo
Your sets are looking really good! I like how they are not the same in every shot. It is a nice change! Also, that set that looks like the outside looked incredible! I had no idea you actually went outside!
dude just cut 15 minutes and 49 seconds off the video
*1 second:* yes
Not really sure I understand owning a switch and a switch lite for portable gaming. It’s like having a laptop but buying a second laptop with a 5% smaller screen and calling it your portable laptop
That's what you get for going all digital lmao.
A smart man goes physical, a smarter man goes mix.
My switch is out for delivery.....perfect timing UA-cam for the suggested video.
Bob owns Panty Party 👀
I only have Skyrim for my Switch and I couldn't be happier. I know I'm missing out, but it's all good for now.
"pokemon sword is one of the best switch games"
I mean..... reaaaally?
It is if you like pokemon, if you don't probably not. It gets kinda boring in some parts
Jordi Lacerda it’s one of my favorites
@@martinbaraldilobe3334 so... if I like pokemon but don't like pokemon sword and shield then Nintendo switch games ain't that good?
Dark Lyght what a logical leap for the sake of being adversarial.
Everything in this video is how I feel. Including dipping in and out of games. You hit it on the nose with this!
I can't wait for my Animal Crossing edition switch :)
Did not get a switch or the game :(
@@codyt8541 why? :(
The Switch in workplace is real! I used to play with my friends in the room that already had a Xbox One but was most used to play Fifa.
11:50 dont forget pokemon mystery dungon
Bought one a month ago. Wish I bought it in 2017. I have BOTW, Mario Oddysey/Kart, golf story and ring fit. Ring fit have changed my life, not even joking, amazing for a lazy guy like me.
Very much so. Even though I don't get time when I do I can sit on sofa and still play. Game list is huge
I remember buying mine when ‘Nintendo Switch 2 Years’ later came out
Don’t regret it
Who’s watching this but already has a Switch? 🙋🏻♂️
Matt B Nope but I would want one to play Smash.
Right here.
I bought one from a friend last month. Made sure buy me a copy of Breath of the Wild and Fire Emblem Three Houses.

The Switch is my favorite system of all time. It has MHGU, Breath of the Wild, Mario kart, Mario party, Just Dance, Rocket League,Super Smash Bros, lots of indie games, and lots of local multiplayer games. All in full HD, either docked or portable, with a seamless transition and nice UI. What more would i need on a gaming console?
I hope it has a long, healthy life span.
