Tractor Supply Electric Grain Grinder(AMA 13 gallon electric grain grinder)

Review and demonstration of the grain grinder from Tractor Supply. Grain grinder, grain mill, corn grinder, whatever you want to call it; officially it's the "AMA 13 Gallon Electric Grain Grinder."
I've now put several hundred pounds of corn through it, and it's doing great. I think the trick to getting a more course chop is keeping the feeder bowl as full as possible to keep the blades/motor bogged down.

There are so many options. This video appeared randomly about one week after I was looking for recommendations. I wonder how it works two years later.

I just finished another round of cattle with it, grinding several hundred pounds of corn over 2 months. I did have to take the cover off the motor, blow out the corn dust, and spray some lube down into the motor. It was running very raggedly and even cut out on me once. Very much improved and no problems after the clean and lube. Don't count on Tractor Supply to support you after the buy however. They "censored" my "ask a question" when I tried to get repair parts information.

I wonder if that would grind up mesquite pods?

I couldn't say. We don't have any of those and I've never seen one. But if they fit down the feed tube, they'll grind up.
