I'm trying to relearn knitting. I believe i can do this, it looks very fairly simple. May I ask why you count and remove the 4 stitches, only to put them back onto the left needle again without having done a stitch? I'm confused on that. Thank you so much.

I "unravel" 4 stitches purlwise, I need to put them back on the left needle in order to knit them. Please watch video.

Yes. Please make sure you make a knot at the end and take the cut tail along the back stitches with a tapestry needle. I will make a video.
