Aaron’s the man, and I love Schecter, but they have some DUMB qc issues when their guitars don’t show up perfect. It’s really black and white. I have a KM7 I had to get replaced cause the truss rod was broken out of the box. Love the replacement they sent, but yeah, I feel you dude.
I have this model and the Nick Johnston HSS model. I love them. Unfortunately they don’t help me play like Aaron Marshall or Nick Johnston but hey ho. The specs on the AM-6 especially are incredible for what I paid (£1,099). And THAT NECK is to die for.
I got a Damien-6 today and a peavey invectiveMH. I can't believe how well the setup is on the schecter. You and your friend must have got unlucky everyone is always talking about how perfect the guitars up when they show up
Pleeeeeease reccomemd a 6 string standard 25.5 I can play in drop A# without issues after set up. I have esp Ltd ec 1000 satin black baritone tuned up to drop A# and even after set up it buzzes like crazy even with right gauge strings. It’s for 12-62 and I even tried a 64 on top string and buzz for worse. Makes zero l sense. String Heights have also been raised significantly and still no . which sucks because I like the way the guitar looks. It can be prs Ibanez Jackson esp hell I was even looking at that Schechter Mach six. Seems like I have tried everything and since I could be possibly playing stuff in drop c as well I figured I’d need to find a standard guitar instead of this baritone which is getting returned. It shouldn’t be buzzing like that after a set up, especially when there has barely been any adjustments made to tuning
The entire company is one big disaster. I bought a schecter and the nut fell off........800 dollars and the nut fell off.....hate schecter with a passion
Mate, really? Nuts are usually only held on with a small amount of PVA glue, I have a high end Les Paul {A lot more than $800 dollars}, that the nut came loose on and fell off while I was changing strings, I just put a dab of PVA glue on it and put it back on, It's a great guitar and I'll never sell it.... Nuts coming loose are more common than you think....
Schecter are well-known for [normally] incredible quality control. I have two including the AM-6 from this video and I love them. Very dramatic to write off and ‘hate’ an entire company because the nut came off one guitar.

Man I know you are a rhythm guy but you can shred. And I think having a rhythm mindset really makes your shredding different.
I like Sweetwater a lot but...thats a pretty big flaw to get through their "inspection". Did they give any sort of explanation to restore some faith?
