The Houston Museum of Natural Science and the spectacular Cockrell Butterfly Museum is home to dozens of incredible butterflies of all sizes and vibrant colors. This Slow motion HD video captures their beauty as they gallop through the air in 240 to 480 frames per second.

I've lived in Houston my entire life (until recently), have been to the museum of natural science countless times and have never been to the butterfly part of the museum.
They used to have a giant iguana that ran around loving life. Now he's really old and retired... kicking back in a big cage.

It must be very difficult and exacting to maintain all the species of plants that these butterflies drink from. However, the biggest amazement for me was seeing a butterflies tongue! A few times you saw it all curled up before the creature was ready to drink and in others you could see its tongue actually in the flower drinking the nectar. I have to admit I never thought of butterflies as having tongues, but Hank can make even the most esoteric seem perfectly obvious.
