Stumbled across this amazing lead tone today when dialling in the Pod Go, so wanted to share it with you - will also work for HX Stomp or Helix!

Wow, that's a crazy thick lead. After the first 2 notes, I thought I was going to hear some Jeff Beck inspired playing. Sorry see the destruction done to the Amp by UPS. 😭 I hope you had insurance on the Amp. The damage to the chassis is severe, and I wouldn't be surprised if the electronics were also damaged. More proof that heavy Amps are the bane of whoever has to lift them.

Sounds Great. I hope it lasts. I bought their Variax Guitar. It had all sorts of modelling in it about 15 or so Guitars. The Strat sounded like a Strat, all of them sounded great. About 3 months in, it just quit working... first one sound then another, until it just didn't work at all. I also bought one of their first PODS. The 2nd Day I had it, I plugged it in, and it started bubbling the plastic top, and smoking. I have not had a good run with Line6. I Love what they do, but the quality control leaves a lot to be desired

I just followed this setup except for the IR cab. It always sounds better when you do it!! I hope you will add the patch and the IR to the PodGo folder. 🙂
Yeah, I’ve noticed that the phrase, “tone is in the fingers” holds a lot of truth. Whenever I play someone else’s preset it always sounds a little different, even if I using the same guitar, it still sounds like me. However, the patches are great and I still learn a ton from how he sets everything up.
Great playing, very fluid and musical! Line 6 Helix and recent similar products are great. I have the LT and Catalyst 60, I use the Cat all the time for home but I'll keep the LT I think so I can use the added effects 😄

Sorry about the MK3 hardwood man, i loved that amp. But as a 30+ year owner of a MK3 boogie i’ll be surprised if there is any other significant damage, those things are almost indestructible. For the woodwork though, while that looks repairable to me, i would take the opportunity to build a new head and cab for it anyway, as it split the weight almost 50/50 for me when i did it (almost 20 years ago), and made it much less of a chore to carry around.

Guys this preset and the ir cab are available only at the Patreon page , the pod go folder is something else that gets presets once in a while. But the good presets go to the patreon page 👍🏼👍🏼
I recently started seeing Line6 HD500 used. I know helix generation is the thing today. Any HD500 owners still using theirs today? I’m all about recycling, are those older boards worth today. I’m a hobbyist and don’t play live 🤓

These tones are ace, John. After all of the updates Line 6 has given us, I find that the Litigator is still one of my favorite amps. I also love that warm drive that the Dhyana Drive provides!
Good lord, that sounds brilliant. Must say, you get some really thick and juicy tones out of a Strat single coil bridge pickup. Standard practice would arguably be to reach for a humbucker for getting tones like this. I certainly struggle to get past mild gain with a Strat. Would be great to see a video of how you generally get from plain Strat clean, plinky bridge to this kind of tone. Start with plinky, then layer over that whatever the right sauces are. [EDIT: had not seen the video you posted about 8 hours before this one! Exactly what I was looking for 🙏]
I guess it all depends on what you’re using with it. I started out playing metal as a teenager on a strat.
If you haven’t done so, roll back the tone control-I’m often less than 4. Helps bring out that singing horn like tone. Best of luck!

So sorry your amp got smashed in shipping to its new owner. I am amazed the shipping companies can get away with this, I have seen this more times that I care to admit. Its just wrong, I have started to super over pack anything I ship, its a pain and stuff still gets damaged. I am sure someone threw the box off a truck, I have actually seen that happen. Love what you do and what you give to the modelling community, thank you.

the other eternal question I'm asking since too long, what's going on in England/Britain...which produces that masses of gifted guitarists ?? everywhere..pro and amateurs...each time I discover a great guitar player..as he start talking...bingo...!! what's the secret behind that huge amount of greatness there??? since Jimmy Page/Blackmore, Knopfler/Gilmour to any youtube player nowadays!! I wished I grew up in England to catch that magic I miss.

I have a Pod Go, so I did the Pod Go PayPal link above for US $3.84 and overnight JNC emailed me a link to "Google Drive" that "Shared with me a folder" named "Line 6 Pod GO Presets". In that folder there are now like 88 presets and 2 IRs including the ones used in this video.
I have the same thing but it doesn’t seem to update anymore?
@@ikewashere In the shared Pod Go folder for this month alone I see he's added three more new Presets and that new JCCab.wav IR. I don't know him personally so I can't say exactly what he's doing but there's definitely up to like 91 files he's put in there so far and I hope he keeps doing so. I'm not seeing any newer PLEXI preset but I do see the CRAZY one last, maybe he walked through creating the PLEXI one in the video well enough to where he didn't add it to the folder yet?

Great sound, thank you !! Just wondering, you mentioned the IR was a combination of two OH IRs. Did you need to ask for their permission to create this combination and offer that to the public?
You would have to own the IR on your system to use it. It won't transfer a 3rd party IR in a patch.
