No doubt, Terri Lyne is one of the great musicians alive, the best female drummer of history in my opinion (to my knowledge). She has no cause to be envious of any male drummer!

Every note has art in it. Not harshness, no barbaric nature to this drumming. Hitting is not a word I would use to describe it, she's painting with sound. Beauty and grace even in obfuscation. I write all this within thirty seconds of the music. Thank you for your gift to this world.
