I often go to this video when I feel down. My cousin just passed away on Feb 2nd which was the same day as Don Murray. I'll always feel a special connection about that.
So sorry for your loss of loved one..This video is touching and heartwarming and somewhat a healing aid for our grief and pain..Wishing you healing and peace...🙏
I think wings ranked right up there with friends, it's just as good can't believe the critics gives wings a somewhat low rating, apparently they don't there job, I'm glad I bought all the seasons, years ago
@@aminmalik4086 I watched Wings when I was a teenager and loved it but jumped on the Friends bandwagon because they were closer to my age( Im a little younger) but damn I have rewatched both and Love Wings more! I know all Friends episodes almost word for word...Friends stole many storylines straight up from Wings...and didn't do them as well!
Every time there was an episode about their childhood, I sympathize with Joe. It wasn't hard to see why Joe was always so serious and organized about things. He's had to be that way since he was twelve years old and that wasn't fair to him. The rest of his family got to do what they wanted and he had to keep things together.
I completely agree!! I honestly think Joe going NC with Brian would not have been a bad thing. Brian didn’t really show any maturity until the last five minutes of the series. Joe had to take care of him and he carried that burden.
I love this show. One of the best episodes. Brian showing more resentment towards Joe. He truly screwed up but Joe was basically pushing him out. 2:03 showed how much Brian felt pain and it bugged Joe how Brian walked out the office.
At the end of the season, there would be another house fire - that which consumed Brian and Casey's house (which started when Joe mishandled a lit cigar), which wouldn't be resolved until the start of the following season. Ironically, while Joe is supposed to be more responsible than Brian, the latter's reaction to losing his house is far more subdued than how Joe reacted towards Brian in this two-part episode. According to Joe, Brian didn't have the decency to scream at him or act negatively towards him in any fashion, even when Joe asked for it.
This and the scene in "Mother Wore Stripes" where Joe calls his mother out for abandoning him, Brian, and their dad are the best that this show got. They deserve to be remembered with other Very Special Episodes or darker episodes of sitcoms. Tim Daly shines in both episodes as we see how their mother's leaving them and their father's mental health decline really affected the brothers and created this codependent surrogate parent/child relationship between them. Older siblings looking after younger ones is a trope that I often turn to in reading and writing and I think Wings is part of the reason. I also read and write a lot about mental illness partly because I have Depression and Anxiety. I often thought about writing a fanfic that explores the Hackett Boys right after their mother left and during their father's breakdown.
This was an Emmy level scene.
This show was surprisingly deep and touching for a comedy, powerful scene and great acting by Tim Daly!
I personally believe Tim Daly is a great actor and fine AF too!
@@tinalulumack378 the character of Joe is perfection Tim is an amazing actor
Miss that show
One of the best!
Gets me to cry every time.
The ghost of Mr. Hackett makes Joe realize you can replace a house you can't replace a brother.
Joe was still probably pissed about his wedding too
Amen

The dad was a great actor. RIP Don Murray.
Love this scene for so many reasons and Don Murray as their father was perfect!
My favorite show of all time - even better was the episode when their mom came back and Joe gave her the ashtray

Way better than friends in my opinion. I found friends unwatchable........

Very underrated show. I loved this, The Nanny, Family Matters. These shows were successful and impactful. More than one people thought.
It’s true

6:16 that was the best scene part till the end for me
I thought it was very heart warming when Joe and Brian made up. It seemed that their relationship took a new direction, a more loving direction.
Hellen was savage hahahahahaha
How else would you react if your sister burned down your house?
Yeah but you got to like the personalized revenge plan
