Prague Zoo is one of my favorite zoos of all time. And it REALLY deserves to be featured on your show.
I personally think a European zoo Exhibit that deserves a feature is the monsoon forest at Chester zoo, which is the biggest zoological building in the uk
This has got to be one of the top ranked exhibits on a species list hunters lists!
So many unique species of lemurs I've yet to see in the flesh, especially those Crowned Sifakas! Hopefully one day I'll make it there.

I mean Leipzig has several amazing exhibits that would fit this channel. Gondwanaland, Africa, the new South American section, as well as the elephant house and some of the historic parts of the zoo

I highly recommend the Chester zoo in England, an amazing zoological park with amazing species and spectacular exhibits. I went there and right before you even enter the zoo gates, you are greeted by the Asian elephant exhibit. But the best part of the zoo are the monsoon rainforest and jaguar exhibits. It is worth a trip.

The biodome in the Zoo de Beauval in France is a must. I mean the whole zoo is impressive but their new biodome is incredible !!! I think you would love it
Any zoo in denmark deserves a spot on this channel, som prominent ones includes Copenhagen Zoo, Aalborg Zoo, Odense Zoo, Randers Regnskov, Knuthenborg Safari Park, Givskud Zoo: Løvepark, Den Blå Planet.
Definitely pairi Daiza with its incredible themed areas like the Arctic area
Britain has some really important zoos it would be interesting to see an outsiders' perspective on - Longleat was the first ever safari park outside of Africa [and is run by the Marquess of Bath], London Zoo was the first zoo built for more than just entertainment [and has 200 years of history], and Chester Zoo is one of the best zoos in the world [their 'Islands' expansion is simply one of a kind]. The Highland or Yorkshire Wildlife Parks are of note by the way their polar bear enclosures contrast with the standard in America - rather than a rocky terrain that 'looks right' to visitors, they're out in open fields and forests for the sake of enrichment. The Howletts collection is known for its gorillas and unique way of keeping them in very deep hay, to simulate the edible layers of vegetation of their rainforest habitat.
Some other personal favourite zoos of mine include Marwell, Port Lymphe, Newquay and Edinburgh - all worth attention!
The top zoological parks in Europe are: Leipzig Zoo (gigantic gondwanaland + the african section + pangolins), Zurich Zoo (Masoala Rainforest is the top Madagascar exhibit in the world!), Burger's Zoo (the Bush and Desert halls are amazing + the magrove hall - the biggest indoor magrove in the world), Tierpark Berlin (with its himalayas section, but the whole park is amazing), Zooparc Beauval (the Equatorial Dome and the Hippo reserve are amazing!), Bioparc Duoe de la Fontaine (okapi exhibit is top!), Bioparc Valencia (amazing theming), Prague Zoo one of the best if not the best zoo in Europe (great Indonesian pavilion and it has pangolins!!), Berlin Zoo (kingdom of the hunters and the nocturnal house). Many people will say Pairi Daiza, but that place is just over-themed, the animal enclosures are not top standard and the place is just to impress the visitors. There are much better zoos around for animals and people.
I actually love Pairi Daiza. About the enclosures, they have a 4ha Asian elephant enclosure, a 2000m2 Siberian tiger enclosure, a nearly 9000m2 brown bear + timber wolf exhibit, a 5000m2 black bear exhibit, Their red Kangaroo's and Wallabies can freely roam the entire australian area (even in the Tasmanian devil habitat). The arctic penhuins live in a cave where it is constantly around 4 degrees celsius, The water for the penguins, polar bears and walrusses is constantly chilled to 2 to 4 degrees celcius. They even have artificial snow for the animals. Tey have pelicans that freely swim on a lake, The elefants get a daily swim in the lake, they have one of the few Snow leopard exhibits that is not netted over. Animals can choose if they want to be inside or outside themselves. (It has been named best zoo of Europe three times for a reason). And yes there are still several areas that need a lot of work done (Birds of prey area, Aquarium, )
To me Berlin zoo is a much worse experience for both animals and people (Kingdom of the hunters doesn't even have outdoor exhibits for all the cats, the habitats are smaller then in Pairi Daiza). The elephant exhibit is way too small, world of birds was nothing special, 2 different kind of giraffes, yet only 1 giraffe of each kind. I Enjoyed Tierpark way more then Berlin Zoo
@@danielpkortland You know, space is not everything in animal welfare. And just because a few enclosures in PD are good it does not mean they are all good. For the money that have (especially to build all that stuff) the enclosures should be the best in the world. Some are not. Getting nominated the best zoo in Europe (let me guess, based on TripAdvisor reviews) does not tell anything about the quality of the husbandry given to the animals. It is the best from the visitor experience/prespective.

The London Zoo has a great exhibit for the Asiatic Lion
I completely agree with you on that.
Adding that the exhibit has the only Hanuman langurs in a UK zoo and the only small Indian mongooses in any zoo in Europe, and you definitely have one of the better exhibits in Britain.
I would recommend if you plan to go to a zoo overseas, it should be the Duisburg zoo in Germany. One of ghetto last zoos that features the Amazon river dolphin.
I think you should pay the elephant trek a visit when it opens sometime in summer

Pairi Daisa Zoo (I think I spelled that right) in Belgium has some incredibly themed exhibits! The Arctic Area in particular is worth covering on the channel.
The European zoo exhibit that I like deserves to have a Zoo Tours video is Land of the Lions at ZSL London Zoo.
It's an Indian themed section that mainly houses Asian lions and it's based around the Gir Forest National park in India.
The section demonstrates what the Gir Forest National Park looks like which, is the only place that Asian lions are seen in the wild and how the presence of Asian lions have affected the urban areas of India.
It also has animals that aren't usually seen in captivity such as Hanuman langurs and the small Indian mongooses in Europe.
The Masoala Rainforest Hall and the Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park from the Zurich Zoo are both one of the best zoo exhibits I know. The Masoala Hall is a recreation of the Rainforest in Masoala (Madagascar). It‘s definitely one of the most immersive exhibit in the world and sometimes you really forget that your in a Zoo. The Elephant House in the Kaeng Krachan Elephant parc is definitely a architectural highlight of the zoo, that every zoo fan should know. Also interesting is that on the outdoor enclosure the elephants are living together with a bachelor group of blackbucks and a group of Eld's deer.

i would LOVE for there to be a zoo tour of wildlands in Emmen in The Netherlands. i have been there many times and it is an absolutely phenomenal zoo. it is split into a desert/savannah section, a jungle section wich has one of the biggest greenhouses in the world, and an arctic section. all of wich deserve their own video but you can decide wich one you want to cover!

Live Madagascar zones in zoos. It's a shame that not many zoos hold one of my favourite Madagascar Mongoose the BokiBoky or Narrow Striped Mongoose in the common tounge. Hope you get to show one off on your channel one day

I love Lemurs and If have ZOO, I like to building a Huge Enclosure for Ring-Tailed Lemurs, Black & White Ruffed Lemurs, Red-Bellied lemurs,
Greater Bamboo Lemurs and Golden-Crowned Sifaka, such us Tropical Lands of Madagascar for them and I call Lemur's Paradise. 🌴🌺🤩😉👍

Just thought it'd be worth mentioning but the Giant Day Gecko in this vid has floppy tail syndrome which is usually a sign of improper husbandry and poor enclosure design forcing the geckos to perch completely vertically

Have you considered going to The Wilds which is a place an hour or two away from the Columbus zoo and is also owned by them and it’s basically Columbus zoo but as a safari experience

I am biased and it isn't an exhibit but a whole zoo: Kolmården, Sweden. Visit that place. It might not be the fanciest or flashiest zoo, but it is really interesting seeing the animals in a Nordic woodlands landscape. I especially just like the layout of the Asian section with the tigers, dholes, red pandas and small-clawed otters. The way they're built it feels like the habitat are interconnected despite not being so, and they have a lot of water details that just mesh well design-wise with the lush forest.
I think that you should totally visit highland wildlife park in Scotland and the reason is because you can see creatures that are found in Europe, Asia and North America and also the Vicuna from South America but for sure you should go there too see their European animals and among them is the Highland tiger aka the Scottish wildcat which the park has a conservation breeding for release center and the center is part of a charity that is a European partnership project and the charity is being used to save the Scottish wildcat from the brink of extinction in the only place you can find them aka Britain but besides the wildcat they have European bison aka Wisent 🦬, European wolf 🐺, Eurasian eagle owl 🦉, Wolverine and moose or as it’s called in Europe the elk and they have a lot of Asian animals there as well like Japanese macaque, Turkmenian Markhor, Himalayan Tahr, snow leopard, red panda, mishimi takin, Chinese goral, Yak, the only Polar bears in Scotland, Przewalski’s horse, Bactrian camel 🐫, Bactrian deer, White lipped deer, Himalayan Monal pheasant, arctic fox and great grey owl.
