Fun fact: Radahn is described as the most powerful demigod of The Shattering. Morgott didn't participate in The Shattering, but successfully defended all assaults on the capital. I think the fanbase underestimates how powerful he truly is. Despite being an Omen, he still fights with the grace of gold. Omens being "shunned by The Erdtree" is not an actual aspect of the nature of the world, it is societal. A result of The Golden Order's prejudice. The omen curse is linked to The Crucible, the primordial form of The Erdtree. The Golden Order took The Crucible, the symbol of the old order, and turned it into their own beacon of order. Morgott was born graceless, but earned the grace of gold through his efforts in service to The Erdtree. Proving that the grace of gold can be extended to any being, and that the gracelessness of the omen is something perpetrated by The Golden Order. We can presume this has to do with Marikas hatred of the hornsent and any and all beings associated with The Crucible. She ordered a genocide of, not only the Hornsent, but the Misbegotten as well. Two races confirmed to be conmected to The Crucible. The Erdtree we know was probably created to overtake the symbol of their culture and if the omen are blessed by The Crucible, then she'd have an innate disdain for them as well. If it really is true that the omen curse is no true curse at all, but rather a blessing of The Crucible, then that makes them more holy a creature than any other. Morgott represents a union of past and present. The joining of The Crucible and The Erdtree. I doubt that gravity magic holds a candle to such power.
Idk, I think actual young Radahn didn't have the advantage of inhabiting the body of a demon, or having an Empyrean on his back to provide constant support. He was not that busted.
This mod looks amazing. I may just play the game again just to fight him like this because Morgott is by far my favorite boss. Also I think the logic behind the spirits is like this. The logic could be that Morgott's spirits at first are more in his control, but as Morgott gets more endangered and loses control he also loses control over his spirits of Godfrey who maybe are the memories he has of his father. At first when he tries to be dignified as a King he remembers his father as a dignified lord who Morgott wanted to see again and when he loses control his earlier memories resurface from his childhood when maybe he was also less in control of himself when Godfrey was more like Horoux Loux and was a father that always protected him against all odds. And because of him losing control they gain some will of their own... And their will is that of a father protecting his child at all cost. And then we see Godfrey again later and we see what Morgott remembered and when he becomes Horoux Loux he unleashes the fatherly fury and rage we saw glimpses of in that fight. Basically a love between father and son that transcends time. And that ties in with the story I put together with Morgott: Morgott is an EXTREMELY tragic character. The saddest part about Morgott is that he was legitimately blessed. Omen curse is no curse. It's a blessing of the Crucible which was later seen as a curse due to Golden Order. He may as well have been the most holy of all Demigods, but he was punished for it by being left for a time in the sewers and he hated HIMSELF for it. That is until he was released, most likely by the time Giants were still a threat since Godfrey knew him and he was banished after he beat the Giants and other enemies of Erd Tree. He also uses a Giant Crusher. A weapon that fell out of use after War with the Giants. A GREAT way to hide little story details, in Boss's moveset itself. In his remembrance (japanese version) it's said that he didn't need anyone else's love to love in return. He just loved. He loved others matter what. And there most likely were people that did love him. One of them was Godfrey, but the other may have been his brother Godwyn... who was killed at the Night of the Black Knives. He tried to be a protector, he created Black Cavalry who we see in the trailer and may have been sent by him to hunt down the assassins, he created Sentry's Torches to protect his other siblings from Godwyn's fate, and yet... they all betrayed him and destroyed everything he loved and even then when he shows up in the throne room and calls his siblings traitors he still seems to have some actual care for them after all of that and he still felt great shame after staining their thrones meaning that he truly cared for them (outside of Rykard who may have taken more public role in killing Godwyn as part of his deal with Ranni which could have been start of his Blasphemy). Morgott was a good person that was betrayed by almost everyone around him. By his family that started destroying their life and breaking their world, by the Erdtree which wouldn't accept him due to his "curse" and by Golden Order which indoctrinated him into hating what he was blessed with. Morgott is probably one of the saddest characters in the game, if not THE saddest. A bitter person who has nothing, but hatred for himself and his family and the only thing he cares about is the thing that made his life miserable in the first place. And the only people that loved him are either dead (Godwyn who given that he befriended Dragons most likely cared little about curse on Morgott) or he never got to meet again after longing to see them again (Godfrey). And the part with Godfrey is even more sad when you realize that Godfrey we fight before him is most likely created BY Morgott. It's possible that Morgott created that apparition because he wanted the help of his father, he wanted his father to be there and become Elden Lord, evident by him placing his crown on the throne in the trailer. At the end when we fight him he is legitimately left with nothing, but the crumbling city and his duty which is built on lies of the Greater Will. Pray for Morgott The Omen King, The Grace-Given. The True King of Leyndell and only worthy successor of Godfrey. A true heir. The only Demigod left that is worthy of being called Golden. Morgott the Golden Omen.
One thing I'd love to see is like a buffed lich dragon, where his lightning attacks are all moded to apply the death status and make it so all the bosses were seceptible to death, just to give him some more love and screen time
On the topic of modded bosses, I came across a modded version of Placidusax that greatly enhances his second phase. With the creator’s permission, would you be willing to do a video for that?
Bjorn, awesome vid but -Why wasn't Maliketh fight in his arena ? Vanilla maliketh in his arena usually performs much better than full health maliketh outside his arena , because of the pillars, and his triple beam follow up after a pillar dodge. " Full health" means giving him 5k more hp, which means nothing considering his poise. His evasion is much more important to him.
using his father’s spirit to fight is such a kickass concept, i can imagine these being a separate timeline where we kill godfrey first and morgott at the end
It would be so cool to have this be the actual thing. First you see Godfrey's phantom in the room and get scared of the fact he is "The First Elden Lord" and when you beat him you think "well that wasnt that impressive." And then you head up to Morgott to find out he SUMMONS the dude.

And that ties in with the story I put together with Morgott:
Morgott is an EXTREMELY tragic character.
"Behold my stand, God-Father"
No no, stand names have to be a song title. Cats in the cradle? Battleborn maybe?
10:55 “Embrace your curse brother.. embrace the cursed blood that flows within you, for you will always be that way.”
Another day, another Placidusax comeback W.
Yoooo that "nope" to the first apostle got cracking up so bad 🔥😂🔥
After all is said and done, two demigods have their last breaths.
This is how Morgott should've been. He is still one of my favourite bosses in the game, probably 4th favourite.
Next we want to see prime radhan from Garden of eyes mode vs bosses
25:13 Did your character just died here at the same time Morgott did? Lmao.
Morgott when he saw Radahn: Wanna see me defeat you? Wanna see me do it again?
4:00 Lore accurate?
Morgott is very underrated. He is actually really strong lore wise
I honestly thought he'd win lol
Bro was lucky Maliketh didn't have more poise.
The battle between morgott amd mohg goes pretty hard
using his father’s spirit to fight is such a kickass concept, i can imagine these being a separate timeline where we kill godfrey first and morgott at the end
3:49 Morgott looking down on Radagon as a shower of gold swords rains down is EPIC!
morgotts endqoute after beating you in second phase hits different on mohg
Morgott vs Mohg was anime af. Holy shit the amount of story arcs in that one fight could almost rival the Bible.
It would be so cool to have this be the actual thing. First you see Godfrey's phantom in the room and get scared of the fact he is "The First Elden Lord" and when you beat him you think "well that wasnt that impressive." And then you head up to Morgott to find out he SUMMONS the dude.
Maliketh almost clutched it, Placidusax was cool as always, but Lanseax doing well? God damn
I never thought of adding his grace mimics to the fight but it makes sense since he can manifest a spear, multiple knives, and a giant hammer out of pure holy grace and adding the Godfrey doesn’t feel out of place
this mod may be extremely busted, but it's also very well made. like Unalloyed Malenia kind of. the switch ups to his combos are so fun to watch!
I don't know why the modder changed Morgott's 2nd phase monologue though, that's like the best acting in the game
The change is for the "epic version" used in this version, which determines weather, music and dialogue. "Default" has default dialogue.
@@Goodbutevilgenius curious, that dialogue feels way less epic imo since originally he says that when he's about to die
@@imannam this version has "The Final Battle" play for the fight, so the phase switch does not up the musical aggression, like with Morgott's theme, but instead transitions from epic and heroic to quiet and melancholic. The dialogue swap is to fit the different mood set by this.
@@Goodbutevilgenius I guess that makes sense. still, if I could use the mod, I wouldn't use this epic version. thanks for the info
I always like the fact that Lansseax just sticks to swatting the enemy to the ground :D
Yeah the Radagon fight really shows how much of a post game boss this is lmao. That being said it was sick af. The blast on the sword rain charge up is a good touch
Godfrey so strong he killed the cameraman in the end
Morgott and Malenia really looked like they were dancing in that fight.
Best fight of the video.
at 29:50, it looks like Morgott is dodging her waterfowl
Badass dude finally here!
Black Blade Trio anyone??? 😐
Absolutely
Against 99 bosses
With holy resistance
Boring ass suggestion
I like to imagine the Elden Morgott, Unaloyed Malenia, and the scary modded radahn fight (the one where he has a proper second phase where he uses astels meteors on you from across the entire arena and you have to run to him. It’s in the isshin vs Elden ring video) are just lore accurate representations
Always figured Morgott vs Malenia would be an awesome fight if it wasn't for the ridiculous stat difference.
Also, I wonder how often the Fire Giant would actually win if bosses knew to focus on his weak leg.
The blood flame blade in some combos (during elden beast fight) is an excellent touch
