Can raising the arm straight completely above the head with armpit to ceiling, cause a false axillary vein clot reading? Can this collapse the vein and cause there to be a false DVT reading? Had 2 different sonograms with my arms positioned completely different. One said I had a clot the other said I did not. Would love any input. Thank you
Usually some type of anticoagulant medication if there is no contraindication. Depending on the location, severity, and some other factors, surgical treatments may be needed for some types of blood clots.

Usually not. Never use the arm over head technique myself. Not sure I have a definitive answer on that one
Have you had an MRI or similar examination regarding this issue??
Hi doc, may I ask what is the medicine or treatment for blood clots?
Thank you
