Every time I hear Sascha perform live, he sounds just like he's in the studio. Superb vocalist. Thank you CW class of '12 for introducing me to these musical masterminds.
He sounds really comfortable in a live setting and has great pitch imho. The effects might help a little with masking small mistakes but they also add a lot to his sound
Artists play songs differently sometimes depending on the show, venues, etc. Perhaps at a Music Festival they may play the version you heard.. in a situation like this studio they stuck to the studio version.
someone's gotta tell that dude to keep his hand off the drum machine's snare. too much dude, and it's not necessary in a lot of places. otherwise, MINT
I agree, the music is too stuffed with similar snare sounds. I think he gets too much into his own, so he loses the whole picture. Or he's the greatest snare lover to walk this earth.
It's the snare used as a percussive rhythm which is native to IDM genres, although I can understand some peoples minds being drawn to it's prominence due to the snare naturally being so transient...this is what experimental is about though...this is how we find out if something works or not...art is not meant to be science although they compliment each other...epic track!!
Why? The hard part about making great music isn't playing the instruments, it's creating the song. That's why there are loads and loads of people doing UA-cam covers of other people's songs and virtually no one making a career out of just playing covers.

I really like this song. What's the point of playing it "live" though?
crowd reaction.... energy level.... volume..... saw them live twice and they were fucking blinding.
KEXP... team bad kingdom is playing bad kingdom? didnt u know who is visiting u?
why does it sound exactly like the studio version ? I've seen them play it live and it didn't sound like that at all

Vaidotas Grincevicius - What the fuck.
..This is not what you wanted..
someone's gotta tell that dude to keep his hand off the drum machine's snare. too much dude, and it's not necessary in a lot of places.
otherwise, MINT
The artist performs as they see fit, don't hate, they are doing a live, they improvise and experiment.
I agree, the music is too stuffed with similar snare sounds. I think he gets too much into his own, so he loses the whole picture. Or he's the greatest snare lover to walk this earth.
When i read this, i thought to myself, "i bet he's exagerating!". How wrong was I to think that.
I miss when people used to play instruments
Why? The hard part about making great music isn't playing the instruments, it's creating the song. That's why there are loads and loads of people doing UA-cam covers of other people's songs and virtually no one making a career out of just playing covers.
