Even with the entire row of buildings it's still not enough. Sometimes you forget that the thousands of people watching streams every day are real people out there. Actually seeing them though, just goes to show how big the hololive fandom is.

I was there in Expo day 2 as well but missed out on a lot of things. I was kinda banking on being able to just buy merch on the spot without a reservation but I severely underestimated the number of people that were gonna be there. So if anyone wants to go next year, definitely reserve your merch in advance. If anything you'll be able to skip the lines and go straight in to buy whatever else they have in stock.
Maybe skip the food though. Day 1 food distribution was a disaster, and frankly aside from the presentation and the neat little coasters, the food itself taste kinda mid. But maybe they'll improve next year, who knows.
Also ignore the bathrooms in the expo building itself and just go to the buildings next door. I guarantee you it'll be a quicker and more pleasant experience.
These are some great tips. The food menus were definitely limited by their the pre-prepped nature, but I was happy with their fun little details. And yes, merch, like you said, 100% make a reservation.
i managed to pick up everything i wanted apart from penlights day 1 from unreserved merch area since i got there mega early and was like 178 place in line

I'm a Hololive fan from Japan. I've never seen anyone buy all the food-related stuff before, lol. You're the true Hololive fan, haha.
I also had expo day 2 (We exchanged greetings lol) and yeah I felt super overwhelmed. Especially since I had a concert and merch pickup on the same day. I felt like I barely saw anything in there and was only able to get the bare essentials. I do hope they expand to a bigger venue next year
OMG expo + concert + merch pickup is just impossible!! We really really need at least three days!!
Remember reading on Reddit that the next big event is holo city doing 4 different regions of Japan all at once

It sounds like an extra day and a larger venue space to assit with traffic, ticket purchasing, and space needs is probably the move going forward? But Im glad it was a good experience, its really easy to underestimate how huge the expo is when not attending personally
I really think they need three days, like Friday ~ Sunday. I always try to prepare, but man hololive always trumps my expectations.
It could be a month long and it wouldn't be enough.

Aaaa thank you for the expo coverage. So this is why they are featuring the booths for weeks before Expo because they don't expect fans to go to every booths and just choose which one you really want. Also it is good that you are at day 2 because I heard day 1 is more chaotic especially on food queue. I want to be there one day 😢

I had Day 2 Expo but I ended up getting a cough and couldn't stay for too long. I super regret not trying to tough it out and see everything but I also didn't want to spread my sickness to anymore people. 😢 I hope I can get back in next year.
They even had a VW minibus.
Truth is, ther just isn't a convention center big enough.

I think a lot of your criticisms at the end are similar to mine. The expo was lots of fun, but with so many people and lines, I couldn't do everything! I think I did luck out by being able to do my merch pick up on stage 1 day since I didn't have an expo that day, which left me more time for my actual expo day on the 2nd day. It does seem crazy, but I think they might legit have to find an even bigger venue and maybe make the expo a 3 day thing instead of only two. Regardless though, still a fun time and I enjoyed the vlog! Would look to see a full Expo food review!

on the one hand, I am very happy to see that so many, sooo many people came to this event, I am happy to see that the efforts and hardships of the first generation gave such a result. but on the other hand, oh god, how many people are there, huge queues, sold merchandise, if I ever get there, I will be sad if I can’t fully see all the efforts the Cover team put into the Expo.

It took me a while to realize this is day 2 EXPO even tho you show the bracelet at the beginning.. XD
Bruh, the venue so big that no fricking way you gonna have time to explore all of the booth (due to lining up) and even worse if you have the fes ticket on the same day as expo.
Also, you pretty lucky by getting day 2 expo, so you actually can do a food review. Because I read that day 1 food distribution kinda a disaster, but they manage to fix it on day 2.
BTW, is there any Cosplay section vlog? Or you legit dont have time to explore cosplay part of the expo?

Yup Day 2! I was fortunate to have a good service for the food.
Recording cosplayers is a tricky subject. From my experience, when I ask for recording permission, majority of cosplayers were not comfortable to be on UA-cam. Knowing this combined with the lack of time I didn't try this time. I hope I can record at least some of them in the future!

That was my experience as well. Lines and more lines. I gave up queuing for many. Too bad didn't bump into ya.
Thanks for the vlog! I also had day 2 expo but didn't catch everything so this was really helpful. I was only really interested in Gura stuff so I was able to go through almost everything that I wanted even with having the HoneyWorks stage concert ticket. Everything near the end of the day gets pretty empty so you can go in and out of booths pretty quick.
I was expecting that you'll show some of the fan projects and meet ups that was happening in the halls right outside EXPO like the KFP Ita bag showcase/meet up, Kronii banner, and Gura banners. I guess you just ran out of time. Looks like the next part is focusing on the fans so I'm looking forward to that!

"I'm lining up on something I don't know" yup thats me every expo.
I went through the Expo myself and seeing how you've managed to get photos of stuff that I didn't even know was in the venue. It really shows how massive the expo venue was. (And conversely, yeah you should've went through the corporate booths too, since the Suisei statue was around that area. Then again, they weren't allowing photos, so I hope you were able to see).
The Day 2 food queue looks so much better than Day 1. It was chaos on Day 1, and I don't think I would've been able to get that much food and actually have a table to take photos of it.
Highly agree with the wrap-up at the end. Expo alone takes the entire day, heck getting merch takes a good chunk of time too, and I can't imagine having to attend the stage on the same day.

I will say, that you ordering THAT much food is INSANE!!! Like that is dedication! But I can see you had some help with ordering and showing off the food which is cool too!
I'm sure, without all the jump edits, you had to line up for a lot of things for a LONG TIME, but I'm sure at the end it was all worth it ^^

I got to go to stage 2 and 3 but missed the expo, so im glad to see you have a video on it from a fan perspective! The merch lines were crazy for sure even with a pre-order, but the staff and the fans were really great, really great time overall.

Thank you for this, hwikky! I went to EXPO Day 1 and Stage 3 but I feel like I didn't see much at all at the EXPO! The merch pick up line was no joke. Spent like an hour and a half in line so I only had half a day for the expo itself.
I missed so much of the stuff that you showed here so thanks a lot for that! Your vlogs actually inspired me to finally make the Japan trip for expo/fes a reality. I had so much fun so thanks man!

I would agree cover needs to work out the crowding issue; so many lines and it also seemed to like previous expos had more to 'do' or experience. Like the displays with outfits or kiaras sock puppets. This year it seemed more like an IKEA for merch 😅. Looks like everyone has fun though ❤
This is a great point. Like you said, something to engage into would be great, although they will have to figure out how to manage all the crowd for something like that.

Damn you only manage to check out half of the stuff in the expo? I feel like being able to go would be such a blessing and fun time, but at the same time, there's gonna be so much regret missing the merchs you want but sold out, unable to see a lot of the booths. And honestly, the only way you can achieve that is going all the days and check out what you miss on the second day. But that's gonna be so impossible if the tickets are lottery.
I can't thank you enough for making this vlog. One of my dreams is to someday be able to attend to a HoloFes Expo and concert in Japan, but at least for now that's impossible for me. But thanks to you I was able to get a really good view of it the Expo, the vlog and the editing was great!
