Not much has changed over the last 40 years with 5 bells garage, Sid Staffords and even the little chip shop still there. Recall the co-op shop, the Bell pub and lots of happy memory's living there. Lovely treat to see the place on here....Chris or Taffy Evans
My Great grandfather, Benjamin Ward emigrated to Canada (near Chatham Ontario) in the 1880s from Gosberton. Census records place him living somewhere on the Boston Road. His fathers name was also Benjamin Ward. His wife was from Quadring. I forget her name but have it recorded. Ben Ward married a girl right off the boat from Germany and settled in Kitchener Ontario. Someday I want to come and explore the area and over in Sturton Le Steeple where the other side of my family came from. Mark in Hamilton Canada
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your comments. My wife and I lived in the area, actually in Surfleet Seas End (just a few miles from Gosberton) for 3 years, but have now moved back to the US. We still visit England quite often, as my wife is from a small town near Cambridge. If you do get back, you must go to the Black Horse Inn, in Gosberton Risegate, it is simply AMAZING!
