Finally someone showing how to use the new Keyword Planner for local business. The only problem is everyone that teaches how to do keyword research uses a big city that returns real numbers of searches. Unless you have a client in a large city you don't or can't show your client how many searches they can expect to receive when ranked on top.
Thanks! Very useful step by step guide on creating keywords! Thank you so much! The next thing: how exactly do we add those keywords into our website/web page? Do you have a video for that also?
Thanks, Use keywords to start writing content and find out about topics in relation to your business. Don't forget to add them to you meta tags such as meta titles , headlines and so on.
Thanks for this video Luc. I learned some good tips that I didn't know before. One thing I would add is to not only target the keywords with the highest traffic but also look for a mix of keywords that have low competition. I wish there was a way in the keyword tool to show a smart filter based on volume but also competition... a weighted rank. I'm sure something like SEMrush does this though. Thanks again!
Excellent video. Thank you for your very fine job Luc. Merci encore..Sinon, next step: Add the keyword to site...How? By creating content around these keywords I suppose? If so how do you organize them on the site?
New to the channel and I appreciate your simple word-usage to describe the complexities involved with keyword reconnaissance work. Have always been curious - 'Local Plumber London' & 'Local Plumbers London' are seen as two different keywords by Google... Would targeting 'Local Plumbers London' also include 'Local Plumber London'?
Hi Geoffrey. Thanks for your kind comment. Yes they are seen as two different keywords but from a targeting point of view you should target them seperately as Google would see them as the same. Hope it makes sense
This exercise learned me two things: 1. I'm on the right track. As a bonus, I found some more great keywords. 2. Several of my competitors optimize on keywords without search volume. Lucky me.
Hi Luc, just found your videos, and am enjoying them and finding them very useful so far, thanks! Is it important to have alternate ordering of keywords too e.g. as well as plumber london, do you also need to have london plumber? In other words this will double the volume of your keywords!
ok after i find my keywords. where do i add them in the right way. lol. sorry im brand new to marketing. i know about about wordpress and i created a siie. but i dont know know about marketing. can you please make a video on how to apply them in the right way. or refer me to one of your videos if you have one already made. because i like you explanation. its clean and smooth
Thanks mohammad. You need to use these keywords to put in your Page titles and as part of your content. I haven't made any videos on this topic but there is a lot of resources on the internet on how to do this.
ok. i will give it A TRY. i hope you will make one soon. i know it would be a great video. because you have a clean explanation. straight to the point. thanks for responding though.

Hi, yes this video was made a while back so things have changed a little but the principles remain the same. Once you've identified the keyword you need to choose which ones you want to focus on and start creating content pages using them
@@rankingacademy , most of the small business can not afford or don't believe in the power of a website. So they drive customer by reference of my strategic location on a main or important street. I am not saying that large companies that hire large website construction companies may use the keyword I'm some of the description but they originally started tradicional marketing , tv , radio and newspapers. I think this is changing but if few people use Google search to find business , there are not even searches saved in Google and even more , marketing in Google is not effective. Additionally , in small countries with low flow monetization is not really the best unless you have several websites. But I think it may be changing. Just creating your website and hope for the best is not the best strategy.
@@alexherrera3918 Sounds like an easy opportunity to get to the top of the market? Surely it's only a matter of time until your region starts using the web the same as everywhere else. And when that happens, you'll have already been at the top for ages. i guess currently your keywords will have low competition, so rather than having to be careful about wasting your time optimising high competition keywords, you can use the most specific terms for you. It sounds like a good position to be in!

Ranking Academy *_My Pleasure._* How do you research keywords for local businesses who are not located in big cities which don't show any significant searches for the same type keywords you would find in the larger cities.
Hi Bart. There isn't any tool out there that will give you results for very small cities or hyper localised search queries. The best approach is probably to look at your target keywords and combine them with the location terms you are targeting: Keyword + city name or keyword + postcode etc...Once you've got your list, run an AdWord campaign using exact match only. That should give you precisely the results you are after. You can then use the best performing keyword in the copy of your site. A bit long winded but it's the most reliable way I have found.
*Thanks for the clear and actionable advice!*
No worries!

Hi Kernow. thanks for your comment. I would worry about the ordering too much as google will be able to determine what the page is about
This is very very good. Thank you
Thanks Fabiano
Thanks for the video! What excel function did you use to auto populate the cells with city names at 3:00?
It wasn't through excel. I used a keyword combiner and then pasted the outcome in my sheet. Try this one kombinator.org/

Hi Alex. Yes this is still valid. I am curious, If people are not using keyword to search, what do they use?

hello sir
nice vedio,
sir how can we put keyword in Google My business ?
and what is use of label in Advanced information in google my business...
waiting your reply ?
You just don't. You shouldn't spam your google my business profile with keyword hoping you will rank for them. That's not how it works
You shouldn't spam your google listing with keywords in the hope of ranking. It doesn't work that way
@@rankingacademy thanks you sir
Sir one more question

I tried to go to keyword planner , but it bring me to create ad and start a campaign , any advice , I'm in Canada
Create an adwords account. Do enter some credit card details but don't run any campaign. That will give you access to the keyword planner.
I was not able to see the Google Adwords page - Any help??
Same here........

Hi there. Sorry but at the moment I am not taking any new client on board
