My uncles were seamen and often brought back discs from the US. This was always on the turntable, mostly by me. I was ten and just beginning to understand about life. I became a drummer at 14 and loved the British and Liverpool music scenes but I've never forgotten the earlier music from the USA that set me up going forward, The Everleys, this song, Elvis, Cascades, Buddy Holly, there was so much to take in with just the music scene. Wonderful song, wonderful memories.
My cousin from DC rang my mum 30 years back in Oslo. Ronnie sang this song on the phone (landline) to his aunt Laura. It made mum so happy that 40 year old nephew remembered her with this beautiful song, not knowing that Ronnie would die in less than a week suffering from incurable cancer. May his soul rest in peace.
I heard this song for the first time when I was 12, made me cry then, now at 54 still makes my cry...it's so beautiful. So is the answer song....never heard that before
Yes, you are right. I am very touched and delighted to hear this particular love song and great rhythm of the supporting music. The singer was excellent as well as the lady who was able to give a reply to her lover’s song. Very meaningful song. It touches the hearts of millions of song lovers and I am one of them.
An excellent song which is so meaningful together with answer. I feel so touch whenever I listen to this particular song. There is no other song that is unique that explain the meaning of this song. I love this song very much. Amazing to hear. ❤❤❤
