If you really want to see some good Christmas lights accessible by Septa regional rail, Try Manayunk on the Norristown Line. They do some really impressive lights every year and it's a really good place to hang out. Lots of good restaurants and such.

Can you go Railfaning at Newark Penn Station I know there is a bunch of crackheads and other things but Newark is the best place in Jersey 2 best in New Jersey
