Well, I've been playing since the age of 6 and until 18 I played only classical music. I then switched to jazz, so it's been a while :-)
You might enjoy the film The Legend of 1900. Great music, great scene with a piano contest with Jelly.😻

Wow! This guy plays it in his own style. I think that's kind of what Jelly Roll Morton wanted other pianists to do. I know nothing about music like this, but it's very easy to make any song sound good by doing a proper cover to it. This one is flavorful.
AeroSixWJ hope you know this was the original way to play this but different in placement
@MrJvj101 Thanks for the comment! I think the rythms seems uncorrect to you only because, unlike the original, I played a swing-style rythm (which is more modern) and I did some variations. But they're not "totally wrong" at all. Regarding the foot tapping, if I was a classical pianist (like I was years ago) I would agree with you, never do it by when playing Chopin or Liszt. But this is a ragtime / stride piano piece (at least that's how I interpreted it)

Hello again, I meant to ask how long have you been playing. Just curious how long it takes for one to be able to belt out a composition like that? Must be a great feeling to walk into a bar or where ever and sit down tunes for the people. Take care..
You put the lid brace on the wrong peg slot. This may seem trivial, but it is actually important, because it puts stress on the slot and can cause warping of the lid brace. Remember, the brace always meets at a 90 degree angle to the lid.

Great job! Nice phrasing and a great hint of improvisation! *Just FYI, you shouldn't put the lid stick in the top cup of your lid, it's fairly easy for it to slip out. I work at a piano store and we were instructed to NEVER do this. The top cup is for the small stick and the lower cup is for the long stick. Basically, the stick should always be 90 degrees to the lid.*
