Geralf is going in my arcades deck as a alternative wincon and a suprice for my opponents. Boom all my walls are flying Frankensteins monsters, and they are hungry!
Can also do a build that takes advantage of etb and death effects since you'll be getting both payoffs. I personally might just put him in the 99 to sac big boys getting destroyed so they just won't die
Sorry for the slow reply to this one. I've been thinking about this request, but I'm not sure how to address it. The current deck design does have a lot of death effects (e.g. myr retriever, scuttling doom engine, solemn simulacrum, triplicate titan), and even some etb's as well (e.g. tribute/trinket/treasure mages, thought monitor, duplicant). The one thing I haven't focused on is blink effects to repeatedly trigger etb's. But I also think if one wanted to go with a blink strategy, there are far better ways to do so than with Geralf in the command zone. But let me know if I misunderstood!
@@thecommandersbeacon1158 oh no worries dude. I appreciate the response. I wouldn't build a blink deck with him unless he was in the 99 but as commander I would do death triggers for sure. Because he's mono colored I would keep him in the 99 though for my builds. He's perfect for the Geralf and Gisa deck though if you wanted to build a deck around the story.
Very smart approach. I see edhrec go the toughness matters with useless defenders. Your deck style has a better plan B if people start throwing their removal at Geralf.
Hi Eric, first of all love your channel, thanks for the awesome work. I'm always surprised about your subscribers. You definitely deserve way more. Sadly the link to the dechteck isn't working for me, maybe you could fix it. Thanks again
Thanks! I wasn't able to replicate the problem with the broken link, but I've replaced the url in the description, I hope that works now. If not, try this one: tinyurl.com/3r5j3zx2

Cool idea, I hadn't thought about that! I also like that Geralf can give all those defenders something to do if Arcades gets removed.
Love this!
