After reading through other comments and replies, I've found that the Z-Wave model does not have the WiFi option. This is why the device doesn't respond when pressing for 5 seconds.
how to fix it?
What do you do then?
The why does it have a WiFi symbol on it?

Nothing happens when I touch the screen for 5 seconds or more... Seriously, worked for Honeywell 36 years and they still are making junk!!! WTF

If it has the z wave function, this doesn't work. I still haven't figured out a solution though
Anyone know how to re-register a T6 thermostat? After deleting the thermostat from my app I gave it to my friend and now she's unable to register because it states it's still registered. I even performed a factory reset on the thermostat. Any ideas?
Soon as I placed device on the wall the heat came on. Its 87 degrees outside and my heat is on. I get to configuring then it says about wifi.
I press the center temperature 5 seconds nothing change can I know what's going on there?
My Lyric 6 Pro's face stopped responding to my touch. I ordered a new thermostat. It came in today.
I pulled the defective on off the wall and put the new one on.
Mine did not show the temp. During the instructions it told me to set my phone (android) into airplane mode.
Then it told me to go to the wifi devices. Now since I have my phone in airplane mode there is no internet.
I remember having the same thing when I first hooked up my 1st Lyric T6.
I kept reading the instructions, doing the same steps but going into circles.
Honeywell had got to change the way the set up these thermostats.
I reset wifi and the T6 screen screen shows that it is connected, but the app is offline all the time, who can help me how to deal with it
I was able to follow along up until point 2:41 and then I got an unable to connect error. I had turned off my Smart WIFI switching App (we have multiple access points in house) but I did not realize my mobile data was on. I found that menu item on my Samsung Galaxy S8, turned it off and started over. With the mobile data off the setup went very smoothly. We have a dual band router I was thinking I might have had a problem with the device trying to connect to 5 GHz instead of 2.5 GHz, but it was just the mistake of leaving the mobile data on. Honeywell support also has a procedure where you turn on airplane mode and then turn on WIFI before starting the setup. I did not try that but maybe it accomplishes the same thing.

My T6 Pro series won’t count I’ve downloaded the add created an account!
I get to the point where it says connected and the app doesn’t do anything it doesn’t go to configure like on the video! and it says app not available in this country or region??

I have this thermostat installed in my Minnesota home because I spend winters in AZ and want to monitor the temp from there. The thermostat is connected to my MN internet account, so it’s not working when that internet account is suspended while I’m in AZ. is there a way to connect the MN based thermostat to my AZ internet account?
The thermostat has to connect via WiFi, so unfortunately the thermostat won’t be able to connect from your home in Minnesota to your home WiFi in Arizona.
I had a old winky kinky thermostat. But apartment installed this crap. Guess what I cant even get it cooler then it should. Set on fan instead of auto, set on cool, set my temp 70 down to 60 still stay on 79-80f. I'm sure if I complain their gonna ignore. It's meant to be efficient on power. I don't care if I have to pay more for cooler as it was. It would be cold as 65. How can I set it up?

My 1st Lyric T6 quit working. The display wouldn't respond to touching the surface.
I bought a new one and the grief began.
I turned the old one off and plugged the new one in.
It went to setup mode. It did NOT show the temperature
I followed the directions. Here is where the problem started.
It told me to put my phone in airplane mode and go to the setting on the phone and find
the Lyric icon on the wifi and tap on it.
Since I had the phone in airplane mode you could not see any wifi devices.
I went round and round but gave up. This is the 2nd time I tried to make it work.
One thing the thermostat does not show the temperature after you press the setup at the beginning.
Honeywell needs to re-program the install setting to make this thing more intuitive.
I put the old one back in. At least I can control my HVAC system.

Had a difficult time connecting too but eventually got both of my t6 pro wifi Thermostats installed to the app.

@@marman3382 I had the same issue but resolved it by first turning off mobile data. Then try setting up again.

It would be nice if you knew how to run the phone. I would really like a printout on how to set it up on phone. Need instructions on how to operate the thermostat after it's installed.. I am 84 and do not understand how this automatic world works. Need instructions, so I can re-due if need be, for summer air conditioning and winter heat.

My phone wont connect to mobile network internet if it's connected to a wi-fi network so I guess I won't have a wi-fi thermostat

Please note, if you have a Z-wave model, pressing on the screen won't do anything, it doesn't have WiFi. That may be your issue. Check the packaging as to what model you have.
As soon as I go to airplane mode the app says "no internet connection" and I can't go any further. Anyone know why?
You have to take it off of airplane mode so you have internet again.
@@sierrallcairconditioninghe6089 at that point, it goes back to the screen where you choose the thermostat. The app won't let you configure unless you put airplane mode on. Once you select the thermostat's wifi, everything freezes.

If your Honeywell Lyric T6 won’t connect to your home Wi-Fi network, it could be because of the following problems:
• The Wi-Fi router is not running.
• The router isn’t operating in the 2.4 GHz range.
• Network interference.
• The wireless network uses a non-broadcasting SSID.

He says, in the beginning, "you're going to need your WiFi password". But he never enters it. In fact, he never sets the thermostat to access the local WiFi.
Exactly! The system never tried to connect to local wifi in this demo. In the real world it attempts to join and constantly fails with no error message, just a long time out.

@@rlkinser, from what my installer said it does not need a wifi password. I found that troubling so here I am looking as to why not. From what was explained it only needs your login password for your app that you set up from Honeywell??? I guess that is possible and no one can get into your account from there, only one is that you on your phone or tab??? still does not make sense since everything else has to have my wifi password.

Nothing about creating a Honeywell account first...without that first, time down the drain. I'm thinking of invoicing my time spent to Sierra.

Dislike this system. We're having problems connecting to the system. I want to set up the schedule so it turns on manually. I can't do that I need to do it through the stupid phone.
It's effing horrible. I'm just going to install Nest thermostats because these things are a damn joke
