I have worked through the course and am now at the end of week 3. Brent is a fantastic teacher and the further you progress through the course, the more you realize that he is following a very clear path. Day by day, he gives you more methods and the tools you need to learn to draw. I am very grateful to have found this course. Thank you!
Brent talking about how oblique lines can convey running or falling and how they're unpredictable. Me: if that line were a person they're relaxing and leaning on a fence haha
Wow! It's an amazing way of thinking and enjoying line work. very first time I've watched such kind of video. I must say your style of teaching or making others understand is extraordinary. 👏👏Keep it up
Hi Bren, I have never thought before about a line such a way. Trying to learn about what you explained. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You are truly a great teacher .
The funniest thing is that this morning while doing this activity I broke my pencil tip very definitively. Glad to know I was pushing it hard enough! :')
Amazing well detailled video ! Maybe a dumb question, but do you think it is ok to start digitally (with a drawing tablet) or do we lose something by bypassing pencil and paper (or any other "traditional" media like your explaining in the video) ?
The fundamentals of good drawing are the same across media so yes, you can learn to draw on a tablet. I have had thousands of students go through my courses using digital media. You may have to adapt some of the techniques to whatever app you're using.
I bought two of your lessons. I gained a lot from them. I think it was Udemy where I was first introduced to your work. I would like to get back to the lessons but I don't remember how. My name is Carl Holback< and it was 2-3 years ago when I bought them. I think one was on shading and the other was the Art & science of drawing. Can you help me with this?
Hi Carl, if you purchased the courses on Udemy you have lifetime access to them. You can contact Udemy support.udemy.com/hc/en-us if you need help with your login or password.
Thanks for this man, i'm taking weeks 3 and 4 on udemy and i find them really useful.
I'm glad that you're finding Form & Space to be useful!
