Custom Baseboard

  • This episode shows how to safely make a small, custom - fitted piece of baseboard, which is not available in any of the big box stores or lumber providers such as Home Depot or Lowe's.
    After cutting the baseboard to the correct size, I nail the small piece of baseboard to a piece of elongated plywood anchor board and clamp them both to the top of my bench, so neither can move.
    I then run my router around the edge of the molding and sand and paint it. After the paint dries, I nail the finished piece of molding in place.
