I spent six months in Ribeira during 2018. Three and a half months during the Winter ( rainy season ) and three months in late summer early fall (Dry season). I was going to move there with my girlfriend who lives there now permanently. Loved the experience though, used to frequent The Oliver and Stanley Cafe.
This region is lovely and inspiring in the summer months. The winter is constant grey skies, rain, and melancholy.
