Spirit has entered what we human Moms call the teen years.
For those that don't know, Spirit made the CBS evening news with the headline A Star is Hatched.
Spirit is developing the skills necessary to survive out in that big world. Our little warrior eaglet. I'm so proud of him/her!!

I can sympathize with Shadow. When my son was a teenager, I'd walk into his room and he'd flip out on me as well. He's in that "I need my privacy" stage. Too adorable!

@@brendahamrick9337 Definitely! In most ways, he was almost a perfect child, but he had his moments. He's now in his mid 30's and I couldn't be prouder of the man he has become.

Actually we were very blessed with good young men, they have trouble once, the oldest, the youngest saw how much trouble the oldest one was in and do he didn't do anything bad enough to get into that much trouble! 🤣

Spirit gave Shadow a scare lol! Shadow shook off and She jumped up at him and he jumped! 😆 🤣 😂 so so so cute! 🤩 ....then poor Shadow gets screamed at when Jackie arrives 😆 he hangs his head down low.....this poor guy can't catch a break. He has both women screaming at him. 🤣 thank you Cali for the cute clip! Stress relieving for sure....

Every single bit of her. I believe the Jackie was proud of spirit rebellion. DAD........ Well he couldn't take it anymore.
A couple of weeks ago I watch an old video of Simba snatching a fish from Shadow and responding in this matter to Shadow. Shadow, as he does often, calmly waited so patiently until Simba tried to move pass Shadow with that fish stuck on his talons. Shadow effortlessly grab that fish dragging Simba by the foot and all. It was the most hilarious scene.
I remember that too. Shadow likes to teach his young how to fight for their food or they will go hungry.
Spirit's wings are beautiful. Spirit is really working on those vocal cords. Shadow was like, "Jackie I gotta get some quality air time". Spirit is still so cute. Thank you Cali.
Shadow tried to walk past Spirit and she stopped him dead in his tracks! 😆 and he did! Rotflmao then he looks down as to ask what's a matter honey....gets another ear full....🤭🤭

Oh Cali, our little girl has grown up in a blink 😉. Where did that language & screaming come from? I want the gentle Spirit that sqeed with joy at the sight of J or S. But we had that ☺. Now, the final stages of growing up. Another blink. I'm going to miss Spirit 🦅 so much. I've grown so fond of her. ❤ you Jackie, Shadow & Spirit 🥰

😄😀 I LOVE IT!! I said this about a week or so ago. Spirit is Simba 2.0. Jackie & Shadow make big strong and loud eaglets. Spirit is gonna be tantrum thrower too like Simba 😁. Jackie & Shadow know how to handle that. One will go out & come back with food or perch on a branch until he calms down.

I watched this on live cam this morning and it wasn't any easier to watch now. I think Spirit tried the patience of both parents with this tantrum. The mantle was very interesting, considering there was nothing to hide; but it was good practice, learning a necessary life skill. Thanks for sharing this with us, Cali.

And Jackie kept looking at the baby and I can remember many times the temper tantrum‘s… Walk in their room .. asking them .. are you ready to talk yet? And the tantrum kept going! This was hilarious! Spirit( The brat).... needs a light wingslap... from one or both parents .....did you see him/her jump up and bite Shadow in the beak?..... and a little later in the video did it twice to Jackie....One or both parents need to lightly wingslap Spirit to let him/her ( I believe it's a female for a few reasons) know not to get too big for its britches before it leaves the nest....😳🦅

He's going thru his temper tantrum teens phase, is what that's all about ... moody, irritable, restless, getting antsy about having to hang out in the same spot day n night, 24/7, ready to get out 'n about & go exploring, to discover what else there is out there in life to enjoy. Hang in there Spirit, once you've learned to spread your wings & get out there 'n fly, you'll have a blast ... altho, plz be aware & beware of those that are your enemy ... you'll have to learn how to stand your ground, when Mommy & Daddy aren't around for you 24/7, a word of advice, out of care and concern.

Only when Spirit is older, Jackie and Shadows job now will b to make Spirit hungry enough to feed itself. After that Spirit will continue learning to mantle and Jackie and Shadows job will be how to fight and steal food away from another. Just all apart of raising an eagle to fend for themselves.
