- Join me as I review 4728 Escape from Privet Drive, one of the 2002 LEGO Harry Potter sets and based on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, recreating the home of the Dursleys: 4 Privet Drive in Little Whinging. This classic LEGO Harry Potter set includes a flying Ford Anglia, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Vernon Dursley minifigures and recreates various details from 4 Privet Drive including the cupboard under the stairs.

Incorporating details from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the 2002 LEGO Escape from Privet Drive set allows you to recreate the scene where Harry receives his letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and also the daring escape from 4 Privet Drive in the Weasleys' flying Ford Anglia.
As well as reviewing and speed building the 4728 Escape from Privet Drive set form LEGO Harry Potter, I'm also taking a look at every LEGO Flying Ford Anglia ever made and sharing my thoughts on the 2020 4 Privet Drive 75968 set in this classic LEGO Harry Potter review video.

I had this set when it came out in 2002. I received it for Christmas when I was 10. I had a lot of HP sets. Today I bought my first Lego set since I was a kid and it’s the new version of this. I had a great time building it. Thanks for this video!

In the new ford Anglia the hood is also different it’s smoother than the 2018 the 2020 version has curve pieces instead of one flat piece

I just built this set last night - I love it so much. I'm waiting for the 2020 version to come via mail so I can do the Vernon pointing at Vernon meme, hahaha.
Truth be told, I'm trying to collect all of the 2001-2003 sets that I can. I'm almost there, I think I'm missing about 4 or 5.
Am so excited for the new private drive set it looks awesome and am a big fan the flying ford and the new minifigures

Hi, Jeremy, Thank you for sharing the 2002 privet drive set!, i had this 12 times, when it was reduced to £12.49p, from £24.99p, for the rare piece's, but the 2020 version is incredible :)

Sadly the medium blue bricks don't do very well with the peroxide method anyway. Saying that I've had good results with white and light grey pieces. You're best off bricklinking the other parts, (Really challenging getting the correct old light and dark grey for these sets though).

Cool vid. Quick question , do you have many parts breaking during your process such as old brown or dark blue..recently took apart a desert skiff from Star Wars and a lot of brown bits shattered.

What's funny is that the Ford Anglia is longer than Minifig Scale. The proper length of accurate scale for a Ford Anglia 105e is 14 studs. The original Privet Drive model is 16 studs. Yet everything else Lego makes is always much smaller.
In fact the recent two iterations are much more to scale, with the upcoming one actually looking to be much more accurate by extending the cabin. However, it's still only 6 studs wide, and while that's fine for the cabin, the wheelbase has to be 8 studs wide.
You put light bluish gray legs on Harry when they should be old gray fantastic review btw

It seems as if Vernon's minifigure face is slightly misprinted, the white circles don't correspond with the pupils

That's a great question Chris and you'll probably hate the answer! The UA-cam channel does not pay nearly enough to cover my LEGO expenses but I worked hard at school and have a great job which enables me to indulge my obsession.

I say hotdamn, love these reviews. Excellent job Jeremy, I have the first sorting hat set and the potions class room set from 2001 or so, missing a few pieces, what's the best route to go to replace them?
For missing pieces, definitely BrickLink. Search for the set and then you can get to the parts inventory. I usually add parts I need to my wanted list and then BrickLink will suggest sellers who have what you need.

love the video! be careful with hydrogen peroxide when cleaning parts. if they are exposed to UV again after treatment it can make the pieces even more discolored than before. great video, just subscribed
I’ve thought about trying it many times but to be honest, it’s a lot less hassle just replacing the parts on BrickLink!
