I headed for Glencoe after a long week at work.I had planned on Chrulaiste for a wild camp but decided to try Buachaille Etive Beag for a change. The forecast was good but as can sometimes happen - it was also wrong!! I did however capture a glorious sunrise over Rannoch Moors from the summit of Stob Coire Raineach on Buachaille Etive Beag

Great video Murray. I was up top on Chrulaiste for dawn photographing a spectacular morning, looking across to where you were camped. I like Raineach, in my opinion it's one of the best viewpoints in Glencoe. Regards - John

Going to attempt a sunrise hike tonight/tomorrow morning for sunrise on Buachaille Etive Mor! Done it during the day and it was sunny, mountain forecast says some clouds so hopefully it will be clear and get some good photos.

Hi Rich - thanks - outings have been getting less and less at moment - so busy at work!! Not sure I like summer for sunrise and sunset shots anyway!! My Jetboil is just the basic version so didnt have the ignition switch - just me saving some pennies !!;)Thanks for watchingATB

thanks - depends on th vids - sometimes I have more time to set up shots and also to talk, but it all depends :) Every trip is different and always varies how much ecent time I hae to actually set up :) last one was ver limited but managed to edit some bits and bobs::)

I see that it would be a struggle to pitch up there , my Hubba Hubba needs a bit more space than I could see there ! Mind it is free standing so I could use rocks for the door guys ? Would be hard if I carried my kit up and then could not camp.
In the pop ups I see a few Glen Coe camps all filmed around four years ago I will watch them for ideas

So so beautiful. Makes you proud to be Scottish. Really missing getting up the mountains. I think it will be a depressing winter with itchy feet for spring. Do you go up all year round? I'm to worried to go up in the winter. Debs

super video as always murray. I've been looking into getting a tent like yours. do you ever use the additional poles that it can come with?
Hi Ryan, I used to use them, but its such a good tent that you dont really need them (I hardly use them - even in high winds). Cant reckoment this tent enough - I absolutely love it :)

What's the hike like on the way up Buachaille Etive Beag. It's been many years since I've been hiking but I fancy a day trip up there. Not sure how my 50 year old legs would go. Great video.

I'm coming over from Australia later this year for a quick family visit and am keen to get some decent walking in, just hope the legs can still get me up there and back! Not too many hills round here!
