    In 1985, while walking by the thrift store in Iowa City, IA, I spotted a B3 in perfect condition in their window. A donation from someone! I bought it for $75! Gave it to my mom.

    Very inspiring! Great Playing! Looking at an H262 for $250 (has the Leslie hook up but now external Leslie speaker).
    My Hammond organ enthusiast friend said "BUY IT IMMEDIATELY!" The H262 is a poor man's B3 he says.
    My only hesitation is my tiny studio - but I think it will be floor space well used after hearing your performance!

      +TheMaddazhell Because they do it in church doesn't necessarily mean everybody has to. The hammond is a very versatile instrument used for rock, blues, gospel, jazz, funk etc. Many of which do not play bass with pedals. Also have you tried to play the pedals? That is not an easy thing to do while playing with two hands.

    Hey bro I just came across this I see it's been up for a few years but I like the way you say you're just beginning to learn guitar and I really love the fact that you just go out and pick up a Les Paul to go with your Hammond, that's just too cool nice chops though the organ sounds great

      haha thanks, using a well made instrument greatly benefits when learning. Started with a cheap bullet strat and knew after couple month i was gonna keep on playing for the next years so I got a good guitar. It helped me a lot

    Do any Hammond organ players ever use the Hammond Auto-Vari 64 rhythm module? I don’t play organ but have ended up with a couple of these Hammond rhythm units and they look like they were built to sit atop a B3, etc. Just curious. Thanks.

  • @allezegains3293
    @allezegains3293 8 років тому +1

    Nice. Go easy on that switch, though! After replacing my first relay my Leslie hasn't been the same; They fry like every year now.

    • @SjoerdHammond
      @SjoerdHammond  8 років тому +2

      it's been 1.5 years since this video. I got the a100 and leslie restored in february, they should work fine for many years. I don't think fried relays are supposed to happen.

    • @allezegains3293
      @allezegains3293 8 років тому +1

      it happens with over switching: Leslies weren't intended to be switched so frequently.

    • @WoodieLarsen
      @WoodieLarsen 7 років тому +1

      sounds like you need a step down transformer for your relay.

    • @SjoerdHammond

    0:23 dat moment dat je hem meer treble geeft! Kriebelss!! Ik droom van een hammond puur om dat geluid er klinkt werkelijk niks mooier. Ben al een tijdje op zoek op marktplaats voor een Hammond m100-102 want die zou hetzelfde of dichtbijkomend geluid hebben tot een b3?

    • @SjoerdHammond
      @SjoerdHammond  5 років тому +2

      Hoi, als het je lukt zou ik voor een m3 gaan die komen het dichts bij een b3. Dat zijn mooie hammonds. L100 ook wel enigszins maar wel minder. Je ziet het helaas wel terug in prijs. L100 heb je voor 200. M3 voor (ik denk 400?). B3 is 8000. Vergeet niet dat ik op een A100 speel die net als een C3 exact hetzelfde is intern als een B3 voor een mindere prijs. Een goeie A100 heb je voor 2000. Ik ben zelf ook begonnen met een L100 maar het was nooit als een echte b3. Met deze gedachten heb ik na een aantal jaar toch een A100 gekocht. Eerlijk gezegd die L100 was leuk maar de A100 is een compleet ander beest. Er komt niks in de buurt van deze sound en twee 61 toetsen klavieren

    • @rainbowbridge4766
      @rainbowbridge4766 5 років тому +1

      SjoerdHammond Ja inderdaad maar ik moet ook aan het formaat denken want ik moet hem proberen de trap op te krijgen. Ik zag dat Pink Floyd op tour een m101 gebruikte en ze klinken geweldig (daarintegen wel in de studio een b3, dus dat is toch wel de echte sound gewicht terzijde).

    • @rainbowbridge4766
      @rainbowbridge4766 5 років тому +1

      SjoerdHammond Een m3 zie ik nu inderdaad voor 600. Ik zal dat model ook in de gaten houden. Dankjewel!
