Preach! You must be a fellow independent baptist? Most men I find who apply the Bible before their own opinions have been Independent Baptists, and mostly fundamentalists. Keep showing these people what the Word of God says, Brother! God bless you and your Church

I don't know about apostles but I know for sure that there are still prophets today.

Don't take anybody's word even if they use the Bible always pray about it and study the Word for yourself because it's my experience that most of the people today really don't know what they are talking about.

According to what you are saying the ministry of an apostle has ceased and the things that the apostles did were foundational. If the ministry of the apostle has ceased, that means the ministry of a bishop, elder, pastor, and deacon have ceased as well. The apostles were the only office or ministry that had ordination authority. So, any man today that claims he is a bishop, pastor, elder, or deacon must verify which apostle ordained him into ministry. Since there are no apostles, that means that man has usurped authority and is leading the church in error. Some may say that the apostles delegated the authority to Timothy, but that would still mean authority would need to be given by an apostle to ordain anyone into office and that ministry has ceased. We would now have to start tracing the blood line of Timothy and anyone else who received authority from an apostle with the ability for ordination. This process would be difficult and cause more confusion in the church. The only answer would be either there is no apostles which means no ordinations are possible or there are apostles and the church has not received them similarly to how the Pharisees rejected Jesus and the apostles ministry due to misunderstanding.

No apostles like Timothy and Titus were to bring others in remembrance of Paul the wise master builders way, as scripture says. Yet Timothy and Silvaus and others were apostles in the Ephesians 4:11 ,12 way for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry edifying of the body of Christ

at 42:40 around there, you said that only the apostles spoke with tongues and not all that were in the house, but scripture rebukes you as in many things you say here
Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)...Acts 2 :2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Notice ALL that were there 120

Let's go back to those same scriptures you posted sir and make sure to pay special attention to the pronouns:
      Acts 1:24-26
And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Notice the subject in verse 26 is HE (Matthias) and the eleven apostles.
      Acts 2:1
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
They is the same people being spoken of in verse 26, which is Matthias and the eleven. And the pronouns don't change throughout verses 2-4 of them and they being the same people in verse 26 of chapter one which are the 12 apostles.
Acts 4:31 is Ken the multitude was filled with the Holy Ghost.

Lets look closer, as i quoted,
"These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,).." all the apostles were with the multitude in "one accord".
      and
notice the words again in Chapter 2 "they were all with one accord in one place."
      "with one accord"
also Peter said in Chapter 2
"15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
      16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:"
notice peter says who were speaking, "these...all flesh: and your sons and daughters shall prophesy"
there were women among them as well, and in Acts 1 we saw that there were women among them
"with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus"
That event with Matthias was spoken to the whole group with one accord . There was no break in the words or places. hey were all with one accord, so the They were all with one accord connects to the previous group being with one accord and the women among them as well who were among those peter spoke of as sons and daughters shall prophesy.
Remember peter said, " For these are not drunken, as ye suppose" speaking of all they could see speaking in tongues and among them were "your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,...And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:" scripture was being fulfilled right there and not just with the apostles.

continued...received 1st the Aaronic priesthood followed by a couple of weeks later the Melchizidek priesthood (see Hebrews 7) near the Susquehanna river by Peter, James, & John. Paul said Christ's church is built on a FOUNDATION of Apostles (see Eph. 2-20. I testify the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Their messages are easily accessible and invite all to listen & ask God if this is true. I testify of this truth in the name of the chief cornerstone even Jesus Christ himself.

I testify that there are 12 living Apostles in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints today...they received this high priesthood office by the laying on of hands thru those who held this authority given to them by Heavenly beings who came on 15 May 1829 to rece

Anthony: Where in The scripture did God through Christ thru the apostles THRU THE holy Spirit teach that a church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints would be established? Where in The scripture is it TAUGHT "they received This high PRIESTHOOD office by the LAYING on OF hands THRU THOSE WHO held This authority GIVEN TO them by HEAVENLY BEINGS WHO CAME ON MAY 15 May 1829 to Rece."?????

All the NT Apostles raise people from the dead....that is what you said......that is not true according to the word of God.

    • @BUTNOWFELLOWSHIP
      @BUTNOWFELLOWSHIP  9 років тому +3

MultiWaynos What scripture speaks against this??? Give me a scripture where an apostle in the word of God did not have the power and authority to raise someone from the dead. When Jesus Commissioned the 12 he gave them that power.
      Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, RAISE THE DEAD, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
      Peter exercised this power
      Acts 9:37a
And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and DIED:
      Acts 9:40
But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she OPENED HER EYES: and when she saw Peter, she SAT UP.
      Paul also exercised this power
      Acts 20:9-10
9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up DEAD.
10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
      Acts 20:12
And they brought the young man ALIVE, and were not a little comforted.
      Grace and Peace to you!

Brother you assume many things. You assume we are perfect and you assume we need none of the apostles today. That we as men can do all things. The word of God will make us perfect here on this earth before we go. You are walking by sight and not by faith. All gifts are faith gifts. Apostle is by faith and by call. Who has made you judge of what is perfect or not? You are presumptious. Your teaching misleads

MultiWaynos Greetings. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video. As I see you have made a lot of accusations against me, although in the video I gave a lot of scriptures, I'll continue to allow the word of God to speak for itself.
Now you said this, "You assume we are perfect and you assume we need none of the apostles today." Now what does perfect mean according to the scripture? And I don't assume that we can be perfect I just take God at his word that we can be perfect.
      2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be PERFECT, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Perfect here means complete. And because we have Gods complete word, and we are in CHRIST, we can also be PERFECT or complete.
      Colossians 2:10
And ye are COMPLETE in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
What would an Apostle tell me today, that I can't find out from GODS COMPLETE WORD?
You also stated this, "that we as men can do all things" Again I will let the word speak for itself.
      Philippians 4:13
I can do ALL THINGS through CHRIST which strengtheneth me.
You also stated, "The word of God will make us perfect here on this earth before we go." Again 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that I posted above addresses this. And also because of your lack of understanding scripture and the biblical definition of the term perfect, you think perfect means In our glorified state, and not understanding that it means mature or complete, Sin dwells in our flesh (Romans 7:18-20), so we won't be in our perfected glorified state until we are resurrected, and these vile bodies are made like unto his glorious body (Philippians 3:21).
You also stated, "Apostle is by faith and by call."
      Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
How does one get to be one of the called? How does God call people? The answer is Through the gospel.
      2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
No one ever gets saved unless God the Holy Spirit intervenes in his life first. Just seeking God won’t get you to Him. You have to have that message the Holy Spirit brings:
“Whereunto he called you by our gospel. We are called by the gospel. As a result of hearing the gospel, when you trust Christ as your Saviour, then you are one of those who are titled “the called.”
You also stated, "you are presumptuous" I have answered your claims with the word of God, not with assumptions.
If you do decide to comment again, please provide scripture as it matters not what you or I say or assume, but what the word of God states.
      Grace and Peace!

And what you have been taught, and you now teach to others.......you have swallowed unquestioningly..........you may be sincere but you need to get into the word without your preconceived conclusion and put it back in its context and discover it by the aid of the Holy Spirit.....if you can believe that the HS does anything today other than watch from afar the errors of the church.

MultiWaynos Ive given nothing but scriptures in context, which is how the Holy Ghost teaches today.
      1 Corinthians 2:13
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Scripture is how the Holy Ghost teaches, and that is how we become perfected (Mature or complete) today.
You have alot of accusations with no scripture. If you do decide to respond, please respond with scripture and not your thoughts and assumptions. Thanks
      Grace and Peace
