Same here. I've been 12 when this game was released. As an adult and a complete different understanding of driving/racing it is so easy! But it still doesn't get boring. I'm still playing it at least once a year with 100% completion. BTW. the challenge series is way more difficult than the career races are, but still a lot easier as they were back than.
The drag race reminded me of time when I couldn't comprehend shifting. Was like 8 or something and I was stuck on Baron as he had the first drag race. I won by putting him into the truck, then driving to the finish line on 2nd gear.

Just giving a detailed walkthrough from the video. 1st Race - Speedtrap : Build up momentum and stay faster than Razor 2nd Race - Drag : Smash Razor into a wall as soon as the race starts and hope that Razor gets totaled or slowed down 3rd Race - Sprint, These is a hole behind a race barrier. Use it, but be quick. Should be an easy win. 4th Race - Circuit: I don’t know how he won in one lap. Just build up momentum and try to get and stay ahead? 5th Race - Sprint: If behind, use the shortcuts at the hospital. Razor doesn’t use those. If he is gaining up on you, block his way.
He used the lap glitch to beat him in one lap. If you set in quick race mode only one lap in every circuit race track it stays that way for the campaign mode, too, even though the game tells you the correct amount of laps.

There's a glitch involving the Quick Race menu where you can make the circuit events in the career mode have only one lap, even though it shows 3 on the counter. It's a speedrun strat.

Lol. Playing this game when I was a kid. I also noticed that I can still win matches without any upgrades. It's like the car of your every oponent is just depending on your car's top speed. With or without the upgrade. Lol
I've finished the game using Sonny's Golf, but only fully tuned... In fact I did all the races and police chases, ect with it after I got it from him, major fun back in the day... What a game.
That's what I hate about this game, upgrades mean almost nothing. The game adapts it's complexity level to the car that you are using. If you don't even have the nitrogen installed, the AI cars that run against you, won't even use it either, Razor didn't use the nitrogen in any of those 5 races. The faster your car is, the harder the game gets. First I hacked the game so that I could play from the very begining, using a mercedes mclaren. I lost twice against sony using that car... one of the fastest cars in th freaking game.... no words. The second time around I got to number 5 on the blacklist using the freaking fiat punto, with no upgrades. It was so frustrating because I had literally no reason to spend my money, at all.
Fkn legend my guy. I used to boast about how I beat razor with the Murcielago (below in terms of performance compared to the Carrera GT but I liked it more than the Carrera GT) and not the Carrera GT, then more than a decade later I come across a video in which a guy beats him in a stock golf. Fkn priceless.

the game's mechanism is such that, the level of ur car will decide the difficulty of the opponent's car bring a maxed out car u will get a maxed out opponent
What's even funnier is that people think 250 kmh is super fast when it's only 155 mph. Every German car with 200 horsepower or better has a governor limiting 155 mph.
Both Most Wanted and Carbon (same game engine and opponent AI anyway,) will adapt the opponent's depending of your car's speed. Rubberbanding is quite strong but the opponent's will have the same proportion of rubberband whatever you drive a stock Punto or a Carrera GT. So basically the faster your car goes, the harder the game is.

Both Most Wanted and Carbon (same game engine and opponent AI anyway,) will adapt the opponent's depending of your car's speed. Rubberbanding is quite strong but the opponent's will have the same proportion of rubberband whatever you drive a stock Punto or a Carrera GT. So basically the faster your car goes, the harder the game is.
