Great information! Having had same PF pain as you, I did lots of research to relieve my pain. I went out and bought the Oofos slip on sandals the other day to wear around the house on the hardwood floor. SO SO nice. Also 3 insoles that I found good for my feet are samurai insoles for my work shoes, the pinnacle peak plus and the valsole plantar fasciitis orthotic insoles for my tennis shoes. What a difference! Valsole seem to work best for my feet on the court

Great work!! I’ve had PF for about 8 months now and man is it awful!! Insoles are a must, I’m using the Powerstep Pinnacle and they’ve worked well but can be tough on my archs at times. Compression sleeves have really helped, I wear the Pro-Tec 3D’s while playing. But by far the thing that helps the most is the ChiFIT reflexology foot massage tool. I roll my feet on them everyday after I play while I’m doing my stretches. All of these things were recommendations from my foot doc and now I’m pain free!! Thank goodness!!!

In my opinion, custom insoles are worth the price. I ended up with Upstep. Prior to getting these in-soles, every morning, I'd need to take 5 minutes before taking my first step then would limp around for a while. Now, while I still feel pain, but I can move about immediately with a pain on a scale of 4.

Great video, Plantar Fasciitis is a terrible lingering injury. I have had two bouts of it with the second lasting about a year before it was totally gone. It was very painful making it difficult to walk any distance. I went to a specialist twice and both times he made me custom orthotics for my shoes which ultimately fixed the issue. The key is to not get it in the first place. My tips are to buy quality court shoes. I got PF both times from playing golf and walking. Specifically walking up hills with shoes that had broken down. Don't wait until your shoes have holes in them to replace them. Rotate several quality pairs of court shoes. Shoes need a couple days to dry and recover from the pounding they take. I have a stretching routine I use every day to keep my calves and hamstrings loose. I also stretch after Pickleball to keep everything loose. Your Achilles tendon being tight can also cause issues. Strengthen your calves are also a benefit to both your Plantar and Achilles. All the tips on the video are very good. Although I've never had the massage. Not sure I could handle anyone touching my feet. The frozen water bottle helped me, as did rolling a golf ball in the inflamed area. Spend the extra money for top-of-the-line shoes.

Yes! Should have mentioned the shoes. I may have assumed everyone knew that, but now that you mention it I know plenty of people who still don’t have proper court shoes.

I have had PF for more than 25 years . so I haven't been able to walk barefoot for more than a few minutes. I have/did have high arches like my siblings and we all have had PF. Stretching, wearing a boot or specialty night-sock at night, and additional arch support devices in my footwear(including crocs at home) are what keeps me walking. I also tape before playing pball and have had to reduce my playing to every 2nd day max(although I can do light drills on off days). You need to do strengthening too with calf raise+tow curls or it will return. It's a long process.
