I was very surprised when I saw references to this guy in the game. In some way it's logical with the RoN lore. Los Sueños is crumbling under many problems and it kinda feels like it's the end of the old world there as capitalism is showing its contradictions, so it wouldn't be surprising that people would start to find interest into something like the Venus Project.
Corpratocracy is the end stage of capitalism. Conglomerates of conglomerates, lobbying for government contracts and Stalinist economic policies solely intended to prevent the natural formation of competition from the bottom, eventually graduating to political activity, pushing for mass indoctrination and weaponization of exploitable elements, and mass surveillance, censorship, social isolation, and incarceration of non-exploitable elements. Apply the Military-Industrial Complex to everything, and you get what we have today. It's not even a conspiracy, and that's what's scary...
Ah yes, the Venus Project. Well-run, sustainable...and inhuman. Inherently murderous. Filled to the brim with hubris and a thinly-veiled hatred for humanity. No wonder that would pop up in Los Suenos. Life is cheap enough there already to consider a devil's deal to make an end of it.

Not sure if you or anyone else will see this, but on "saigon operations" I'd say Occam's Razor; "Saigon" is a place, just not the actually Saigon. It may be a hint at a yet unseen location referred to as Saigon- my guess would be a "Little Saigon," a borough or portion of the city with a dense population of Vietnamese (just like how some places with many people of chinese decent or cultural background are called "little china" or "china town"). The reason it'd be called "Saigon" is down to the fact that a lot of immigration to the US from Vietnam happened at the end of the Vietnam War, as many people from the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) fled to the US. Many of these people still fly the Republic of Vietnam flag and call Saigon by it's old name still.
The worldbuilding of this game is phenomenal. I'd honestly love a game like this about the Royal Hong Kong Police Force, the Military Police in Vietnam or the British Soldiers in N. Ireland.
You know whats funny? Why can I perfectly remember these lore dumps (as well be more.focuse viewing/listening them) but not the shit I need for college
It's interesting to come back to this and see how things have changed in 1.0. Now that we know more about Brixley's past, particularly his military history, as well as the fact that the Bolton goons are just there to collect "something" and aren't technically defending Brixley. Hell, dialogue from them even suggests that they (and possibly even Voll himself) despise Brixley and just tolerate him as the supplier, so to speak. Oh, and Laguna is still there, last I checked. Very odd.
I know you theorized that it’s darker if the parents take pay for their kids, but I think it’s absolutely darker/worse/more realistic when the police ignore helping bring down a pedo for the parents addicted to drugsz
Actually, if you know about a real major pedophile ring operation that was exposed, it's far more realistic that the parents sold their children and then the higher ups or authorities (if the ring is tied to their organization) covered it up. The Finders were a rogue element of the CIA that were using children they acquired through illicit means to blackmail Soviet politicians, however, to keep their funding up they also provided/distributed organs and pornographic material. The entire case was on blast for a single week in the news until the CIA implemented the narrative that Christians and Catholics are just overreacting to thing like "heavy metal" and claiming everything is Satanism. So, the Satanic Panic took over the news instead of a major child trafficking ring ran in part by and authorized by the CIA, who in collaboration with the FBI collected and destroyed/lost all of the evidence in a freak "mailing error" to the Tallahassee Police. The Metro Police in Washington D.C. were also trying to resolve this case, it was not until they called the FBI for help that things immediately went sour as the CIA and FBI did all they could to impede, stop and sabotage the investigation. Any and all police officers or detectives who continued to pursue answers all happened to have committed suicide because "what they saw was too much for them to handle".
At this point, I don't think it's that the PD ignores is- it's that they simply can't answer. The city is practically a warzone and they can barely afford to maintain their own headquarters. I don't many patrol officers are even around anymore, they don't have enough personnel to respond to individual calls. The only thing they can afford to do at this point is respond to the worst of the worst with what few highly trained and highly experienced SWAT Officers they've managed to keep around- that's you, responding to the most terrible of the calls, performing the most difficult of raids, meanwhile everything else has to be left behind. In a way, that's even more dark/sad, the city has fallen so far, and the PD has lost so much power that they barely have the capability to aid people anymore. That's probably why the PD is hated, so many people need help but the PD literally cannot afford to help them all. After all, in real life, in a city with a relatively healthy PD, a call for a missing child would almost never go unanswered- especially if there's more than one and it's a consistent issue. Yet in Los Suenos, most calls go unanswered.
Okay bro, you don’t have to write a whole defense for video game cops. We get it, you probably have a punisher decal on your car and you hate BLM. Do you feel the same way about real police too?
@@neurotic3015The real life police get billions in funding every year and still don't substantially effect these crimes or the rates they happen at, american police only make 11% of arrests for serious crimes like this and only 2% of those arrests lead to convictions. Police aren't stopped from solving crime because they're underfunded, or hated, or fighting a war, they're just incompotent and their systems are inherently flawed, or in many cases beholden to corruption and corporate interests.

7:36 Small thing. The Mindjot raid's briefing reads "A data-storage facility run by @Mindjot. Scrubbed IPs from content found in the residence of a now convicted pedofile led to the distribution source of explicit child pornography." Many believe this to imply it's the content secured from Amos Voll's raid, which then causes even further confusion, as that would mean that the Mindjot raid takes place prior to The Spider, but after Valley of the Dolls, yet Valley of the Dolls implies that it's post The Spider. Personally I like your take on it, but a BUNCH of people seem to be on board with the fact that Mindjot is a result of VotD.
No, the "now convinced pedophile" is the streamer from 23 Megabytes a Second. You find kid photos and incriminating messages on his PC. That's what brings you to Mindjot.
If the base of operations is a safe injection clinic that's still got some equipment lying around, Who's to say Brixly isn't just offering money for them, possibly offering drugs, maybe clean equipment like needles for the children too, the place looks stocked. On a similar note, a little disturbing if say, the kids are drugged or sedated when their pictures are taken and what if other pictures other than headshots are taken during that time.
Thank you I was left disturbed and very intrigued after finishing this mission. “What the hell was going on here?” But I still had a lot of questions. This was the perfect closure.
Venus Project is also mentioned in Port Hoken, you can see it mentioned in the office of the first building pinned to a board. "(V) The Venus Project. Beyond Politics, Poverty and War."
now this may sound... rather controversial, but the way that brixley goes down if you wait long enough is weird in how it grazes and he just pops over like a phasmophobia ragdoll, and ik it's like an ingame ragdoll but it's legitimately causing me to giggle a little bit. I'm probably going to regret posting this comment lol
I don't really understand why this place is as run-down and deliberately creepy as it is. I get that it's a really rough location, but if people were actually using the building consistently for something, you think they would try to clean up a little bit. It would be a lot easier to convince parents to uh, sign their kids up if the place didn't look like a dump.
I remember thinking this map was a daycare and raiding it with my friends When we learned the truth we loaded up on tear gas and well, the “daycare” is pretty empty now
This was the first map I played when I first played RoN. I knew nothing about it, and when I realized what it was I captured George and put him down like a dog.
Perhaps this raid is based off of a real operation from an earlier time and Francisco Laguna is a Vietnam War veteran who keeps his old placard around.
I was playing with my friends when I first heard one of the civilians say “There is a consent form, I signed it.” That shit made me so livid that my friends forced me to take a break as we used the watch together thing in discord to watch some shitposts.
Bro I actually did not know “skid row” exists in ready or not as just “the row”. If you don’t know what skid row is just look at ready or not’s description of it. It matches perfectly lol.
I’m pretty sure the Venus project is an actual project that was practically believed that we can create a new world where no one has to pay for food and drinks or houses, p much everything is free and you take what you need and we live in peace and harmony, my mother researched it a bit. I could be wrong though.
Keep up with these videos man, I love them. I'm sure that in the future this will blow up further. Also can we get a lore video of the gas station mission? I don't play ready or not so idk the name. I would be interested to see the amount of lore there.
The clinic is probably run by, and frequented by, a lot of veterans who have fallen on hard times. The Anti-Vet Bill caused the place to shut down, leading to it's decline and eventual takeover.
I think some of the missions in Zero Hour (especially the Cafe one) would make some good Lore content. It's a similar game, but takes place in Bangladesh instead of California
When I played this mission I paused for a long time seeing the photographs of children on the wall with the quote “smile on camera!” And none of the children are smiling is what made me realize what kind of business was running here, its sick
A little thing that I noticed is that, at the gas station mission, Mudasir’s office contains a certificate about him being in Saigon as well. It’s on the wall next to his MBA certificate
About the calenders: I don't know how accurate they are because at the car dealership for example the calenders show the year 1971 (maybe a connection to the Vietnam war because it was from 55-75?) It might be possible that the calenders are just placeholder assets. Bolton is connected to everything in the city
I just realized that if the CEO of Bolton Security has a stake in the illicit activities, there is a possibility of a raid to the headquarters of a security company in the future which would be insane.
The work you do with your investigations is greatly appreciated, please, make the video of the MLO faction, I have tried to find out who these guys are and it has been very difficult for me to investigate who they really are. You know whats funny? Why can I perfectly remember these lore dumps (as well be more.focuse viewing/listening them) but not the shit I need for college
In 1.0 version, you can see that Brixley is the one putting the hand prints on the walls, not any of the children. He has paint all over his hands.
Very odd.
Good touch with the Spec Ops the Line ost, it fits Ready or Not’s world so well.
Basically ready or not is a game about killing child predators as a swat officer bet I like it
I know you theorized that it’s darker if the parents take pay for their kids, but I think it’s absolutely darker/worse/more realistic when the police ignore helping bring down a pedo for the parents addicted to drugsz
@@muttipi Why you bring real life into this if we are talking about the game
I recently got into Ready or Not and wanted to if there are any videos that cover the lore of Ready or Not, then I came across your videos. I really enjoy your videos, so please keep up the great work!
Very well made video. The ost from spec ops the line is a great great choice, and it adds to the atmosphere well
Love the Spec Ops The Line music in the background
Thank you
I was left disturbed and very intrigued after finishing this mission.
“What the hell was going on here?”
But I still had a lot of questions. This was the perfect closure.
Venus Project is also mentioned in Port Hoken, you can see it mentioned in the office of the first building pinned to a board. "(V) The Venus Project. Beyond Politics, Poverty and War."
It did leave me thinking why there were never any missing children posters . I think the kids were signed over like you said
I know this game has some crazy lore that no one has discover or made a video yet so I’m glad you did. Keep up the awesome videos
These are awesome lore videos. Can't wait for the next one.
5:10 Maybe this is reference to that room where a suspect hides in the mirror.
The music that plays in the ‘you are a star’ room with that big poster of a child on the wall is creepy as shit
HELL YEAH! honestly appreciate you taking a look at this game's plot.
So excited for another lore for RoN
Been waiting for this one, time to grab some popcorn
Yaaaaaaaass!!!!! Mooooooooore!!! Love the RON lore vids, I hope you cover em all!
now this may sound... rather controversial, but the way that brixley goes down if you wait long enough is weird in how it grazes and he just pops over like a phasmophobia ragdoll, and ik it's like an ingame ragdoll but it's legitimately causing me to giggle a little bit. I'm probably going to regret posting this comment lol
I'm enjoying this lore deep dive.
I really like the RoN lore vids
I don't really understand why this place is as run-down and deliberately creepy as it is. I get that it's a really rough location, but if people were actually using the building consistently for something, you think they would try to clean up a little bit. It would be a lot easier to convince parents to uh, sign their kids up if the place didn't look like a dump.
I remember thinking this map was a daycare and raiding it with my friends
When we learned the truth we loaded up on tear gas and well, the “daycare” is pretty empty now
Absolutely love this series
This was the first map I played when I first played RoN. I knew nothing about it, and when I realized what it was I captured George and put him down like a dog.
On george brixleys desk there is a contract wirh terms and conditions
Perhaps this raid is based off of a real operation from an earlier time and Francisco Laguna is a Vietnam War veteran who keeps his old placard around.
Bro keep up the great work, you deserve at least 100k subs
...i needed a break after this one when I played it
tis playlist is a great binge watch. subscribed
2:35 You don't know what the VENUS PROJECT is?
Look it up it's from the Inventor Jacques Fresco.
One of my Heroes if you ask me.
Watching this series makes me want to rave against all that is evil
God, that Spec Ops The Line music
The clinic is probably run by, and frequented by, a lot of veterans who have fallen on hard times.
The Anti-Vet Bill caused the place to shut down, leading to it's decline and eventual takeover.
I think some of the missions in Zero Hour (especially the Cafe one) would make some good Lore content. It's a similar game, but takes place in Bangladesh instead of California
When I played this mission I paused for a long time seeing the photographs of children on the wall with the quote “smile on camera!” And none of the children are smiling is what made me realize what kind of business was running here, its sick
… I never pieced together the barrels in the basement in valley of the dolls
A little thing that I noticed is that, at the gas station mission, Mudasir’s office contains a certificate about him being in Saigon as well. It’s on the wall next to his MBA certificate
Excellent lore series!
10:32 might be backed up with what we see at 3:05
About the calenders: I don't know how accurate they are because at the car dealership for example the calenders show the year 1971 (maybe a connection to the Vietnam war because it was from 55-75?) It might be possible that the calenders are just placeholder assets. Bolton is connected to everything in the city
Meanwhile in the police station the calendar shows the year 1997
@@OperatorMax1993 yeah and the calender on valley of the dolls shows 2022
@@thebatmine yeah
imagine how quickly Los Sueños would change if the government just increased its funds
I love your videos
I just realized that if the CEO of Bolton Security has a stake in the illicit activities, there is a possibility of a raid to the headquarters of a security company in the future which would be insane.
The Ready Or Not's universe is probably divergent since in-universe there has been an American invasion of Mexico recently
If I were a film company I would hire this man
the February calendar lines up with 2026
Master piece of video
The work you do with your investigations is greatly appreciated, please, make the video of the MLO faction, I have tried to find out who these guys are and it has been very difficult for me to investigate who they really are.
Seriously, I appreciate your effort to make these investigations very deep and with a more interesting lore than we thought.
Actually the us declared war on vietnam in 1964 or 5 so that name plate would be from the mid 60s
Jokes aside, a time traveling marsupial sounds sick for a kids show.
This is the first time I’ve learned that enemies can sewer slide in this game
I don’t know why I played this map so much a year ago
A lot of Vietnamese people still call ho chi min city Saigon as I’ve seen it when I was in Vietnam on busses and people talking about it
Just got the game the other day been playing and trying to listen to the mission ive done but i guess i got the game after they made the missions more storylined cause the videos are way out of order from the mission ive done but no complaints just happy to listen
The row is giving Man Man vibes (the first part of man man)
love these
0:02 bold of you to assume I have the money for actors
wish i had friends to play this man
Necro commenting but it seems like the devs decided to use ai art for certain assets, which explains the strange faces on many of the pictures
If its called the row, void missed an opportunity to make a saints row easter egg
10:53 LETS GO🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
I find it really really hard to finish this raid without killing the suspects
7:59 IS NOONE GONNA TALK ABOUT FEBRUARY HAVING 31 DAYS???
Isn't there also an enemy that claims he is a PI if you capture him?
8:07 didn’t know February had 31 days💀
Fun fact, "Rock Spider" is Australian slang for p3doph1le.
Source: "Troppo" (2022) & the internet
Watching from this video from Saigon, i mean uhh Ho Chi Minh City
Gave up on that mission after i couldnt find the last civi
Such a shame that the row is starting to look like some of the cities in America under the rule of the ‘president’ we have.
it's been always like this. usa is a fucked up place.
Wonder if the bags in the vase are concrete or caustic? Might tell you more about those barrels
casual watchmen rant
TF I don't play ready or not because I don't have a pc but I watch it and I saw this vid and TF never know that
Just so you know am new to ready or not content
5:22 The guy looks like Michael Jai White!
