Went to see this concert as a young 17 year old at Manchester Apollo. To be honest it was the most beautiful and joyous concert I have ever been to . This surprise medley , the beautiful song of seven and the new life band . Wonderful ❤
Writing this at probably all the wrong time… but what a lovely memory this gig is. Attended the RAH with my mates John B and the late great DJ Pritchard (aka The Pilch). The aforementioned Pilch bellowed repeatedly for Heart of The Matter and was not disappointed when the song was duly played. Great evening, great band and as for Jon Anderson - purest voice from that genre.
I love your comment. I agree completely! Goosebumps and tears. No matter how many times I've heard the song. Glad to hear its not just me and that he touches ALL. Love N Light to you!
Wow 40 years ago today,4 of us took the afternoon off work and in a battered old saab we travelled from Northampton to the Albert Hall to watch this show.#a lifetime ago.
Music is the harbor of my heart. Jon Anderson touches my heart in every song he sings.. So great to find this Sir Royal Albert Hall Performance from my younger days… Thank You Jon…
Stefano Cerri.was the bass player in the Animation album and North American tour, around the summer of 82. In 1980, John Giblin was the bass player (Peter Gabriel, Simple Minds...)

John Stevenson There was a lot of love in the room that night. As a 14 year old it showed me how powerful music and performance could be although I've never experienced anything quite like that night!
Amazing, just amazing. Perfect example why Yes without Jon isn't Yes anymore.

At the Albert Hall to listen to this man with the golden voice. Never forget that night. At the end he said "go and see Yes".
What a treat! Never knew about this. His voice sounds exceptionally good on this outing and so does the band
Yes is the heart of all our true feelings, may we sing with Jon ! All together now!
Great bass by the great Stefano Cerri. RIP Stefano, one of the finest italian bassist of all times.
+Sadowsky1965 Actually it was John Giblin on bass - I was at this gig, plus I think he played on all dates of that 1980 tour.
