Is this shunter available as an analogue control version please? Looks very similar to the Bagnall "hybrid" 0-4-0 model of four to five years ago? Love your remark about Mr Harris!!
It is analogue buddy. The phone app just replaces the controller but I use a normal Hornby controller as I find the whole phone app control a pain. Great little Shunter.
I found myself going back to the normal controller as it’s quicker to use so agree with you there. I do like they tried something new but seems instead of continue it with a new set they have just made some basic oval ones again with hiked prices which is sad
@@Steves00gauge yeah i had it about this with another model railway youtuber a few weeks ago. Hornby needs to bring back the railroad range to get people round my age (I’m 16) into the hobby because we don’t have a lot of money to spend on models with details that half of them you don’t even see
@@LNERA3PRODUCTIONS I’ve been giving Hornby so much shit recently in videos about the price rises and most agree but I get the odd person who isn’t happy with my opinions. I get price rises but some of them make no sense at all like £23 for a single level crossing when a peco one is £9 isn’t a bright move.
Was thinking about getting this set, ended up pre-ordering the TT:120 set instead. Will be able to make a better layout v footprint of OO. Class channel btw you’ve got another sub from me. Diolch yn fawr 🏴
On the playstore, found the app and it wont install it as not supported! Not great that a year on from this the hm6000 app no longer works on the latest Android version 😂😂 why am i not surprised!! 😂😂
I have to be honest I found it more of an annoyance using my phone for it. Rather click the the old controller. Maybe it’s because I’m old 🤣 Using my phone to press for choo choo noises etc I see it’s great for the kids who haven’t been outside to play ever and when they do the iPad is gorilla glued to their hands but not for me. Loco and everything else was great for £99 I have to say but I’m guessing I’m not the target audience As for the app issues I’m with you, not surprised
its unclear to mee if the loco makes the sounds ore the divece u use makes those trains sounds i have 1 mallard here with sound decoder but have no dcc controller for it this seems to me nice solution for it ? cheers from netherlands
£99 is a bargain for a set like that if you ask me. Definitely worth it for what you get!
It’s a gem for £99. Can’t fault it
Many thanks indeed for such a speedy reply Steve. Presume the loco is to the same basic standards as the Bagnall I mentioned.

Great little Shunter.
I think the concept is cool but it’s not for me I prefer to use my gaugemaster controller

Welcome along. Thanks buddy for the kind words. Always good to have more of my Welsh people here.
Great choice, I’m looking forward to some TT 🥳
