Between the Sahara winds and blowing dust plus the pollen I can only watch so many videos at once so back we go. The former CNW boxcars now MRMX are part of the leasing Fleet at Midwest Railcar out of Edwardsville IL near St Louis. Most of their cars are MWCX much of it runs around in original paint. The flat car behind is ICE Iowa Chicago & Eastern which is now part of the CPKC and was former Milwaukee Road Track in Iowa. @2:27 a short length NATX tank car which is somewhat rare as they usually specialize in full size or propane sized cars. Also the reporting marks and numbers are in yellow paint as opposed to white paint which indicates this car probably worked on by UTLX. While the SP boxcar had lots of paintings the metal was in fantastically great shape with double doors probably in plywood service. @3:37 a grey GACX covered hopper and formerly was a CMO car which was a C&NW subsidiary until the 1960s and the car being fairly new above the right discharge chute you'll see the classification and specifications for this car were to UP standards. Just last week saw a video shot in Savanna IL and it was a BNSF empty phosphate train going back to Florida and perhaps 10% of the cars were more modern leasing cars there was only one cylindrical BNSF car and suddenly it hits you that they took all these older green BN cars out of storage along with a few brown ones it' suddenly looks so old. Also near the front forgot to mention the seven North Dakota State Mills cars which at about 100 years old is still going strong producing grains and flours for the food and baking industry
97 cars packed into a heavy, short train. Must be carrying brick shithouses in those boxcars. 😂😂😂 A couple of ancient BN green covered hoppers hiding under decades of grime. 😎
