    Tip for you, try rain-x on your windows. I once rode with someone who didn't have working windshield wipers and I was amazed at how clearly I could still see and it was raining really hard going down the highway in California were everyone does ten over. To get best results clean windows first than dry then use rain-x.

    There's been a push in parts of Florida trying to do away with anchoring, and one of the first things they usually do to discourage that is take away dockage for dinghies and access to land from the water..
    It's all about the money,.. they don't want people living there for free

    • @just-in3932
      @just-in3932 4 місяці тому +1

      @@karaDee2363 if it's all about ppl need to call in to that county or write to them and explain that you wanted to spend a good bit of money and maybe more since you're a tourist and since you can't dock legally, you know have to take your money over to the next county over. And state that it saddens you cause you were looking forward to exploring their town or city and now you can't. If they get enough ppl calling and writing in, I guarantee they will find a way to put in a dock ounce they realize all the revenue they could be making.

    Not sure about there but in Fort Myers the problem with anchoring is to many people just walk away from their boats and leave them there and then the municipalities argue over who has to get rid of them. Happens with every hurricane too, lots of boats sink and it's to expensive to get them hauled out so people just walk away from them. You'd be shocked at how many boats are capsized and sit there for a couple of years in the water. I do agree with the dingy docks though, that would be nice.

    Just my opinion. I’m sure you’re not gonna hurt anything by going ashore but generally Let a few people start using it, and then they abuse it and now look at any launch ramp when you get people using it they always always abuse it and make a mess of it.

    Florida… A great place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there again. It’s just too many people in transition and not that hospitable. Now there are some exceptions in the northern part of the state.

But when you already share it with 300 other retired folks and its right in front of a gas station you think they would allow beagle easement. I live here in Fort Pierce. Im so sorry about the rude people not letting you park your dingy. But there are many places you could have pulled up to and not get yelled at. At one point I see you're around the condos. Get away from them. Also we've had illegals come up that inlet from the ocean so maybe people that live along there are nervous about anyone on the waters there. We're friendly retirees here in Fort Pierce. Im sorry you experienced the unfriendly ones.

    That’s very entitled on your part. Why don’t you buy a piece of waterfront property, pay taxes and maintain it so everyone can go to shore? How many people do you think do that over and over and perhaps many of them aren’t as respectful as you are. Still in Florida you don’t trespass on another man’s property. Really it comes down to poor planning on your part, you should research and look up public docks and other resources you can use vs being a Karen because you’re not allowed to do whatever you want on someone else’s private property! 😂🤦🏻

    • @backwatersandbackroads
      @backwatersandbackroads  4 місяці тому +4

      @SouthFloridaFishingClub or maybe these towns can build public docks (like I said in the video) to solve the problem for everyone? 3 days of Israel funding should cover the whole state.

    • @SouthFloridaFishingClub
      @SouthFloridaFishingClub 4 місяці тому +1

      @@backwatersandbackroads I hear you, it would also be great if they had more boat ramps, blah blah blah however that’s not the reality at the moment and 🤷🏻 you’re the captain, it really comes down to poor planning. Not every destination will have a dedicated dingy dock conveniently located where you need it or sometimes even one at all. Btw Anchoring is generally not permitted in marked channels in Florida like you did before, and some cities have additional restrictions. For example, in St. Augustine, anchoring is not allowed within 50 feet of any marine structure or 100 feet of mooring field boundaries. Garmin active captain or Navionics community have a lot of anchoring spots and tips on how to get to shore, etc. sure you might have to go out of your way sometimes but this is where the planning comes in.

      @@SouthFloridaFishingClub You have a point for sure, but the guy had been soloing the loop for like 6+ months by this point. By the time he got to Florida I'm sure he was already tired and even less in the mood to plan around every little annoying intricacy overpopulated-Florida was going to throw at him. Lesson here is that Florida is definitely not the part of the loop route to cut corners on, and even less so as every little square inch of the state becomes occupied and built-on.

    • @backwatersandbackroads
      @backwatersandbackroads  4 місяці тому +5

      @SouthFloridaFishingClub I feel I do exactly as much planning as I want to do...and it works out fine. Not sure what you're talking about with anchoring in a channel. I think the solution is stay on the river side and Great lakes....more people, more problems. Less people...less problems.
