I found Ft. Pierce to be a crappy town, even some of the people working at the marina's were snobs. There is a lot of crime in that town so maybe that's why they have the attitude they do....
Did notice the sail boats without a mast? Are they abandoned? You hit on it, they don’t want you anchor there. I’ve not commented before, I consider myself frugal, you make me look like a big spender. Realize there some really impolite boaters
The sailboats in the cove...they were not being used for a while. The more time I've spent in Florida, the more I realize there's a growing problem with these kinds of issues. Too many people trying to live the good life. Reminds me of growing up in California
I live here in Fort Pierce. Im so sorry about the rude people not letting you park your dingy. But there are many places you could have pulled up to and not get yelled at. At one point I see you're around the condos. Get away from them. Also we've had illegals come up that inlet from the ocean so maybe people that live along there are nervous about anyone on the waters there. We're friendly retirees here in Fort Pierce. Im sorry you experienced the unfriendly ones.
Oh it's okay ;) I actually see a lot of their points. I'm a land owner too. The problem needs to be solved by the local government (which of course they aren't doing)
That’s very entitled on your part. Why don’t you buy a piece of waterfront property, pay taxes and maintain it so everyone can go to shore? How many people do you think do that over and over and perhaps many of them aren’t as respectful as you are. Still in Florida you don’t trespass on another man’s property. Really it comes down to poor planning on your part, you should research and look up public docks and other resources you can use vs being a Karen because you’re not allowed to do whatever you want on someone else’s private property! 😂🤦🏻
@SouthFloridaFishingClub or maybe these towns can build public docks (like I said in the video) to solve the problem for everyone? 3 days of Israel funding should cover the whole state.
@@backwatersandbackroads I hear you, it would also be great if they had more boat ramps, blah blah blah however that’s not the reality at the moment and 🤷🏻 you’re the captain, it really comes down to poor planning. Not every destination will have a dedicated dingy dock conveniently located where you need it or sometimes even one at all. Btw Anchoring is generally not permitted in marked channels in Florida like you did before, and some cities have additional restrictions. For example, in St. Augustine, anchoring is not allowed within 50 feet of any marine structure or 100 feet of mooring field boundaries. Garmin active captain or Navionics community have a lot of anchoring spots and tips on how to get to shore, etc. sure you might have to go out of your way sometimes but this is where the planning comes in.
@@SouthFloridaFishingClub You have a point for sure, but the guy had been soloing the loop for like 6+ months by this point. By the time he got to Florida I'm sure he was already tired and even less in the mood to plan around every little annoying intricacy overpopulated-Florida was going to throw at him. Lesson here is that Florida is definitely not the part of the loop route to cut corners on, and even less so as every little square inch of the state becomes occupied and built-on.
@SouthFloridaFishingClub I feel I do exactly as much planning as I want to do...and it works out fine. Not sure what you're talking about with anchoring in a channel. I think the solution is stay on the river side and Great lakes....more people, more problems. Less people...less problems.
I’ll tell you why they didn’t want you to pull up to the beach. It’s probably the most exciting event they’ve had in the past year. They have nothing better to do than whine and complain.

You can't own the water man. Its God's water.
I think there is a little "we worked our whole life, you're cheating" resentment
Dude...love your work...my first dog was a beagle...get a mutt at the farmers market next time...boring on the channel...
South Florida looks like hell to me. Way too many (entitled) people.
Do property rights make one entitled or demanding use of someone else's property make one entitled?
@@johnrocheleau7959 where I live there is no such thing as a private beach.
@@ghalston5641 A dock is not a beach. Below the mean high tide line is public.
@@johnrocheleau7959 obviously,, when I mention a beach, I mean a beach.
They do not want you there.
It started to sink in ;)
A simple accommodation leads to sales/gasoline tax revenue.
Jack A**'s ruined it, Lived on a boat in Fla. for 6 years, it's sad
Seems the more money in an area the more assholes there are. Those people that live in what looks like a paradise seem so uptight and grouchy I just don't understand I guess. Nonetheless great video informative while entertaining. Keep up the good work.
random government agency?! nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
@@backwatersandbackroads Saying local government here sucks would be too polite.
Move on
Its not like theyve got dingys lined up to make camp. Selfish people.
@@SouthFloridaFishingClub typical chump
I’ll tell you why they didn’t want you to pull up to the beach. It’s probably the most exciting event they’ve had in the past year. They have nothing better to do than whine and complain.
Agreed I would have had them in for lunch dogonnit!
