He’s so great at attempting to include everybody and it’s epic like everybody talked, even when they expected to stay quiet and you can almost feel the energy boost
This is one of the best interviews I have ever seen. I am just getting into Nardwuar now and am appreciating your years of work! Amazing!! Your passion is incredible and so energizing. Rock on Nardwuar!!
I love how every video makes me laugh and I always end up learning a few things and seeing how much out there is to know. Keep popping tabs open to mentioned artists UA-cam page or Wikipedia.
I think after the album Elephunk and the controversial song "Where is the love?", things took a weird turn for them. On the Monkey Business they did a song "My Humps"...enough said. They lost some focus.
lol @ "Yma Sumac - Bo mambo" being the 'FEATURED VIDEO" at the top of the videos on the right. That's a little creepy I think because that name is not in the Title, Description, or Tags for this video!! Meaning that UA-cam is confident enough to actually listen to the video and hear keywords (likely repeated more than once?) and include them (words it thought it heard mentioned in the video) as part of their formula that determines video relationships...
Not only could it be, it definitely is. My point though, is that even though these groups have influenced a lot of artists, it's bad television to re-use so many of them. Part of the fun of Nardwuar is the surprise of which obscure reference he's going to pull out of an artists past and let them explain the connection to the audience. When he uses the same references over and over again though, I think the novelty wears off.
That's because those are essential to a lot of people in the black community that are around the age of the rappers he interviews. It's not about the questions... it's about the answers and reactions!
I get what youre saying, but if those actually are the significant influences it would also be a bit weird and inaccurate of him to leave those "gems" out just because he has showed em before to other artists... In either case I indeed know what youre saying about him re-using references, but I dont think its THAT bad as he always finds unique stuff as well!
I remember hearing a lot of good things about this new hiphop group The Black Eyed Peas on my favorite college radio station. I caught up with them 4 or 5 years later and I was amazing at how shit they were. I assume they had a good first album.
I like the HUGE difference between the way the hip hop community and the indie rock / punk community react to Nardwuar. The hip hop people are generally thrilled and really respect the work that Nard puts into his interviews. The indie punkers, however, generally see him as a threat - for the same reason. Mostly because they are full of shit and Nardwuar exposes that element. Hip Hop guys generally admit to their shit and move on. The indie guys whole careers stem on their mythologies.
LOL Out Of My Head. "Whoa whoa whoa! How'd the bridge go? i think i drank to much. Oh wait, I think i know. Ok, ok, HERE WE GO!" lol that IS a fun song. lol BEP rocks
fergie looks so bored, I use to talk to other Dj's at parties back then and when the topic of BEP would come up it always started with "you mean BEP before or after Fergie?" Keep on rockin in the free world
There was a time for about ten years that every hit song was a BlackEyedPeas song. What an amazing group, both performance wise and writing wise.
WOW, the first interview I have seen where Nardwuar comes out of STATUE, talks and goes back into STATUE!
BlaqFrost Ikigai I think he does it in the Charlie Murphy interview also
Was about to say that ahaha
nicely put @@XTheJenovaProjectX
True that but now we have the uzi interview as well

did yall not read the executive producer for their 1st record was Eazy-E
i know right they glossed over that one
I wanted to hear any stories Will had about Eazy E
I saw that too.. No love for Eazy damn shame
I had to go back i thought i was reading it wrong. Sad they didn't speak about E.
Atban's album was released on Ruthless. Y'all HELLA LATE
He broke him outta statue mode, just gotta ask him about records and he can't resist answering.
I feel he just didn't want to be rude. What a sweet dude.
“Fergie what does Beyoncé taste like??” That was outta pocket and Nardwuar’s ass knew it lmaooo
The art of confusion
She was like: "what do you meaaaaan i for sure dont know that" wink
It wasn’t at a pocket stop being so sensitive. It was just like a trick question or wordplay.
@@chrisrubright3522 look at you, responding to 3yr old comments talking about stop being sensitive

I remember those scarves Will.I.am has on, totally captured a moment in time
fergie surprised me at how many things she actually knew. props to her
Yeah, Eazy E was the first dude that put BEP on. Ruthless Records was their first label, when they were called Atbann Klan.
I'm starting to think that nardwuar's entire interviewing career is just a way for him to hawk his collection of vinyls to awe-struck millionaires.
Fergie made Nardwuar say "wow" now that is rare
apples smile is the most magical thing ever
it's still a fresh interview, 8 years later.
eazy-e produced that album? wtf
Nah, executive producers just pay finances
This is my 16th Nardwuare video in a row.
Seriously, what is Reagan doing now?
C. Klintholm I’m a manager at Wal-I-Mart.

Every time he passes the mic to App is like he switch fast to other memeber, not letting him finish his sentences lol
ive never seen him break the freeze at the end ahahha awesome

idk if politicians would wanna be interviewed by nard cuz he'd bring up every questionable thing from their past that everyone else forgot about
I'm really happy to hear that the guys from Blood of Abraham are doing well. They're a really good group.
clearly atban klan, blowfly, mannie fresh, and incredible bongo band are the thread/fiber that holds the hip hop game together.
miami 305 bass more than mannie.
I can't believe you didn't mention the Good Life Cafe!
Fergie is around 34 years old in this interview and looks like shes 60.
abark meth skin
Kairo Meri nah she got fake everything
Her chin is about 3 going on 70.
Dino velvet she got off the stuff years ago

The more I watch Nardwaur interviews the more I think he tries to lowkey expose the amount they sample other artist
he broke his pose! haha, fucking love nardwaur
He got you started bars
Nardwuar makes Wil-I-am look normal 😂
An interview with Axl rose would be great!
Did I get that straight, Brian Austin Green once accused Apl. of stealin' his weed, lol.
1st time nardwuar ever broke his freeze poze, lol
i wish he would have busted out a wild orchid album lol
Thats the first and probably last time that i saw Nardwuar move after he paused lol
it's cuz they kept talking at him, he didn't unfreeze at first
You can tell that Fergie doesn't like not being the main focus. lol GOOD! :P
ITS A BLODDY CLASSIC!!! BEST MUSIC INTERVIEW EVER! KODOS..

Super original content!! Thank you
He keeps pulling the mic away from apl de ap mid sentence
When he asked Fergie, “what does beyonce taste like?” 😏
Nardwuar is King of the music intervew
no, i think it means that lots of people watched this video, and then watched that video

HOLY CRAP Nardwuar is like a lexicon pop music of knowledge.

Eazy also signed JJ Fad to Ruthless Records and had Dre produce their album between Eazy Does It and NWA debut Straight outta Compton.
I think Fergie got Brian Green mixed up with the Alchemist from the Whooliganz, i know what she meant.
Brian austin green did drop a good album called one stop carneval and Pharcyde produced it
Nard rules. Period.

must be rather difficult to interview 4 people
I love this interview! Fergie's so cute :) And the end is so funny!
Nard: So, tell me Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, what does Beyoncé tastes like? 2:57
Fergie: WHAT!..
