The grounds of Alexandria is a fun and quirky place with different installations. Newtown and King street for vintage shops. If you like peanut butter there is a peanut butter bar/ restaurant 😂 The Glenmore bar has a cool view of the Opera House without being too touristy. Wholegreen bakery CBD cafe is a favourite of mine as everything is gluten free! Oakberry acai bowls or D bowls in Bondi (plus 1000 other acai places in Bondi). While you’re there do the Bondi to bronte walk along the water. Been watching you for a while, so exciting to see you in my backyard! 💗
Watsons Bay is great at sunset and there is a beer garden. Camp Cove is a nearby beach and is great. Icebergs have a pub downstairs from the restaurant and you can sit outside, it's an amazing view of Bondi. I love Watamolla Beach which is in the National Park about an hour South of Sydney. It's better to go on a weekday. Berry, Berrima and Kangaroo Valley are also great little towns a couple of hours out of Sydney. Hyams beach is also amazing, also better to go on a weekday.
So happy to see you guys in my city!! some recommendations: Palm Beach 🏝 Bistecca (THE Aussie steak house in CBD) Newtown (soo many cool cafes and vintage clothes stores) Glebe Saturday market AP house in the city (Bakery cafe) --try the avocado toast they are my fav. Bakers Blue in Double bay (Another nice bakery) The Art Gallery of NSW is pretty cool. Checkout the TANK in the new building you won't regret it. Also, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Circular Quay is my fav too. The best of The Australian Art scene today. Potts Point is such a nice place to stay! Enjoy your stay and most of all, experience the Aussie way! We are the early birds, we love the nature, and we love cafes and coffee culture 💕
Suggest two amazing walks, firstly the Spit Bridge to Manly Beach Walk and secondly the walk from Bondi Beach beach to Bronte Beach. Also day trip to Echo Point at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. Also take the bus from Wynyard in the city to Palm Beach.
If you want awesome scenic views, on a clear day go to the Blue Mountains it will take your breath away. Bondi (because it's famous but it's a good beach too), Manly (a better beach, bigger). There's a rotating restaurant on top of Centrepoint Tower (might be a bit expensive but the food is good and the view great, you can see the entire city while you mung out, Aussie slang, you have to book though.) Hope you have the time of your lives, Cheers.
A cruise around the harbour is always worthwhile. If you want to do it 'on the cheap' you can just get a standard ferry ticket (for the commuter ferry) which will take you around the whole harbour. Or you can spend a lot for a proper cruise. The food and coffee in Sydney is great... check out the restaurants near the Opera House as well. There's also some popular bars, like Blu Bar which give amazing views over Sydney.
Second the ferry suggestion, if you want to go slightly off the beaten path, get a ferry to Watson's Bay before dusk and go to South Head, great view of the ocean and back across the harbour as the sunsets over the city. And if you like Ramen, Gumshara in Chinatown is incredible, but get there early as there's almost always a queue.
Omg my favourite travel vloggers are in my city! Welcome to Sydney ~ 🎉 here are some places worth trying: • food: modern Australian - Catalina in rosebay, French - Felix (esp their duck) & Hubert, Chinese - lotus (best Chinese restaurant in Australia coming from a Chinese person, you have to go to the one in the Galeries NOT Barangaroo, they taste so different) • museums: white rabbit museum, art gallery of NSW Hope you guys have the best time here! And maybe see you around. 😉 xx
Loved this vlog guys ♥️. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your trip,I'm in Perth at the moment and never been to Sydney so I'm excited to see where you take us next 😊☀️
You guys look ridiculously stylish despite the rigorous travelling schedule. I'm doing 6 hours Montreal to Vancouver, 2 hour lay-over then 16 hours to Sydney soon. I am dreading the flights, but so excited.
Broadsheet is the best resource for all things food and culture. Here's a personal list below though: Food: - Mapo Gelato at Bondi or Newtown (best) - Valentina's at Marrickville for diner-style breakfast (quality produce) - Ester's for fine-dining - Ursula's, Paddington - Merivale group e.g. (Totti's, Mr. Wong) - Ms. G's, Potts Point. - Smalls Deli for lunch, Potts Point - AP Bakery, Surry Hills - Happyfield, habberfield - Baker Bleu, Double Bay (best croissants ever) - Rollers Bakehouse, Manly - Harris Park for Indian food (a little India but with fairy lights, street vendors and cottage-style buildings) Culture: - Ritz Cinema (art deco) - Hayden Orpheum Cinema (art deco) - Saturday markets: Glebe, Carriageworks - NSW Art Gallery - MCA - Chinese Friendship Garden, darling harbour - Taronga Zoo Beaches: - Camp Cove, Vaucluse. Check out Watson's Bay too. - Castle Rock Beach, close to Manly - Balmoral Walks: - The Spit to Manly (swim at castle rock beach) - Cremorne Point Walk (inner city) Day Trips: - Kiama and Berry - Bilpin (apple picking, Blue Mountains Botanical park (huge), apple cider - all in one area) - Bouddi Coastal Walk (incredible)
Your appreciation and reverence to all you show about Los Angeles here is heart felt. This is all very beautiful and amazing! The education you give us is very special and enjoyed! Like and support from Bangalore
Living in Australia, we are used to ultra long haul flights. We have flown into Honolulu, San Francisco , LA, Dallas as well as Vancouver. Both Dallas and Vancouver are 14 hour non stop flights. Travelling to Europe we always have to have a layover. Whenever we travel to the States we always return via Hawaii. Hawaii is our favourite place in the world next to our hometown of Sydney. Enjoy Sydney. I’m following you now to see how you enjoy Australia.
A few must do's. Take a ferry to Manly beach it is a great way to see the harbor. You can stop off at Taronga zoo on the way if that's of interest. A train ride to the Blue mountains 1hr. Do the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk. Hope you have a fun time in Sydney.
Manly ferry does not stop at Taronga Zoo. It’s a separate ferry from Circular Quay to the zoo. Take a train to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains (it’s 2 hrs) and then a short bus ride to Echo Point (views and walks including near the Three Sisters and then climb down the Giant Staircase and take a nice level walk through the forest past Katoomba Falls to below Scenic World from where you can climb the steps up to the top or ride the world’s steepest train up to the top and take the other scenic rides). Or take the bus to Scenic World (more views, scenic cable cars, world’s steepest train, more walks) to see the best of the Blue Mountains. Did I mention that it’s all very scenic? Allow a full day for this trip. Best avoid this on a day with rain though: the clouds block the views.
When we travel from here to the US we get to the US on the same day we left but also at a time before we even left, but then we lose that day on the way back - so you will get to time travel back in time on the way back.
Definitely the Art Gallery of New South Wales. There is a separate building which is the NEW art gallery with more modern pieces. Check out Darling Square to check out some amazing food choices. The Bondi to Coogee walk is amazing.
Try to get on a day tour of the Hunter Valley wineries - 2 hours north of Sydney. Or a day trip down to Jervis Bay (2 hours south of Sydney) where you see the bluest ocean in the world lapping against the whitest sand in the world
Love Sydney!! My favourite city in the world and miss it so much.. Potts Point is so nice! Try the restaurant "The butler", good food, drinks and a great view over Sydney skyline. Another fave is Hugo's in manly for a good day session - great vibe and food. Vacanza in Surry Hills - good pizza. Of course the Opera bar, cause of the views around, great for a drink and some finger foods ;) Anyway, there are so many great restaurants in Sydney.
Congrats on getting to down under. Next time consider the United or AA/qantas direct flight from LAX to SYD. But I assume you’re maybe an Alaskan FF. Potts point is a wonderful area, but not as diverse as the rest of sydney so definitely explore. Check out fish markets (especially on the weekends), newton rest and cafes. For more ethnic fare head to paramatta. And the best middle eastern food is in Lakemba. Head to the blue mountains for a the beautiful vista and central coast for some calm. So much to do that your month will fly by! And yes your 4k camera footage is great. Even in lowlight.
That travel day was exhausting but you made it!! The apartment is so cute and the neighborhood looks so lovely with lots of green space…love it! Sydney and Australia in general is on my “must visit” list, so I am looking forward to your travels around the country! Sending love!❤
Chastwood, Hurstville, Strathfield,Parramatta, Burwood…those suburbs will be more like orientalist if U too like Chinese yum chai dim sum could spend some time there 😊
Sydney is big but I do recommend walking beach Cliff from Bondi beach to Brontë visiting Palm beach, is good to take Ferry to Parramatta the capital of Western Sydney and comeback by train ! This give you opportunity to see haw local people live ? Also visiting Parramatta park ? Very historic ! Watson bay by ferry ,Manly ! There is so much to see in Sydney 😊
Enjoy guys!! Check out the beaches - Bondi to Coogee walk will cover a few! Or head south to Cronulla beach for a different scene and Sydney vibe. Make sure you catch a ferry across the Harbour to Manly! Love it there... All the Sydney inner city suburbs Surry Hills, Glebe, Newtown, Enmore - great vibes, great food! Marrickville for great Vietnamese food...or catch a train West to explore more diverse areas Cabramatta or Harris Park. If you love excellent coffee and pastries try A.P bakery on top floor of Paramount hotel Surry hills....so yum!!
In Sydney many many nice area, such as Newtown, Double Bay, Rosebay, City Town hall, Darling harbour, Bondi, Coogee Beach, Manly etc…btw, I would suggest to rent a car much easier such many amazing spot could travel within a month Hope U too enjoy Have Fun 🎉
Def go to Restaurant Hubert in the city- they have live jazz and amazing food! Gordons Bay, Manly Beach, Tamarama Beach. Go see the Wedding Cake rock, the national royal park. The Blue Mountains is stunning only one hour from Sydney. If you can travel Newcastle is beautiful, Byron Bay is a gem. Tasmania is a taste of New Zealand. The Grounds of Alexandria def check this out. Food is amazing. Shuk has the best Mediterranean food. Newtown for thrift. Lived in Sydney for 5 years and they were the best of my life. Enjoy!!! 😍😍
If you go to the Manly area I would recommend Fairlight Beach or Shelly Beach because they are more quiet and pretty than Manly. Also hiring a kayak at The Spit is a great way to see the harbour! Enjoy Sydney :))
Masala Theory in Surry Hills is the most life-changing Indian. Better than Dishoom! Their deconstructed samosa is amazing. The Maroubra beach pool is the most beautiful ocean pool in the eastern suburbs. The Grumpy Baker in Maroubra is amazing for sausage rolls and croissants. Newtown has a great thrifting scene & cool vibes. Melonhead in Coogee is great for fresh juice. Coogee to Bondi is a pretty famous walk. Have fun!
Amazing!! Definitely gonna check out Masala Theory then.. Dishoom is very hard to beat in our eyes 👀 hahaha can’t wait! Thank you so much for all of your helpful suggestions ❤️❤️
Oops. Hope you survived the very hot day yesterday. Check out the Inner West suburb of Newtown. The always buzzing King Street for food, pubs and cafes. Sydney's bohemian, hipster and alternative lifestyle neighbourhood.
All the museums and art gallerias in Australia are free entry, you may have to pay to see an extraordinary exhibit so the museum or gallery can cover the costs associated with it - secondly all taxes in Australia are included in the price and not tipping is necessary when dinning out - e.g $5 on the shelf is $5 at check out
23 hours, 1 tiny airplane seat, and enough movies to make Tom Hanks question his sanity. For some reason, my flight to Sydney previously when we filmed one of our TV show episode took almost 23 hours, too, and that's not an easy thing to do.
Newtown! Go by train to people-watch and explore King St & Enmore Rd with their endless cafes / pubs / vegan restaurants / bars / vintage shops. Try the gelato from Mapo. Flour Drum for weekend brunch (sit in the garden). Try the pastizzi (Maltese pastries) at pastizzi.
Why don't people go into a pub/bar have a counter lunch, sit, relax for a while, have a beer or two and take in a bit of atmosphere on your 1st day. RELAX. 😮😮😮
Ok but can we take a moment for Rhylan’s commitment to dressing so stylish! When it comes to sightseeing i can only wear tennis shoes and leggings, don’t know how she does it tbh
Head for Bundeena and do the hike to Wedding Cake rock and then continue to Big Marley beach . You are walking a long a cliff line to a spectacular beach . Most people only hike to Wedding Cake Rock which is fenced off because it is unstable but only a handful of people continue to Big Marley beach which is part of the Royal National Park .
I’m so glad you chose to vlog the travel itself, it’s always my favorite part of seeing travel vlogs. Enjoy your trip!
We are happy that you enjoyed it! We’ll make sure to vlog the actual travel part of our travels more often in the future as well then❤️
A must do for locals and tourists is a ferry ride to Manly to see the harbour beach and the ocean beach ⛵
The grounds of Alexandria is a fun and quirky place with different installations.
Newtown and King street for vintage shops.
If you like peanut butter there is a peanut butter bar/ restaurant 😂
The Glenmore bar has a cool view of the Opera House without being too touristy.
The Grounds is packed of tourist and the food quality has gone down hill. Used to be special but now it’s cliche
Can’t wait for more Australia content!! Love your channel 🫶🏽🫶🏽

They are normally so pleasantly surprised and they have this look of delight and appreciation.
It’s lovely to be able to see it unfold
Watsons Bay is great at sunset and there is a beer garden. Camp Cove is a nearby beach and is great. Icebergs have a pub downstairs from the restaurant and you can sit outside, it's an amazing view of Bondi.

Suggest two amazing walks, firstly the Spit Bridge to Manly Beach Walk and secondly the walk from Bondi Beach beach to Bronte Beach.

The thai restaurant " Thai Pathong" in Newtown is amazing, you can also explore the main Street of Newtown, a lot of good restaurants and cafes

Wake up before sunrise, head to Bondi and walk the Bondi to Bronte trail at sunrise
For most Australians going to the USA, the direct SYD to LAX flight (17 hours non-stop) is a rite of passage. It's what we have to do to go anywhere!

I hope those flights were cheap 😅 can generally get from LAX to SYD non-stop 15hrs
Masala Theory in Surry Hills is the most life-changing Indian. Better than Dishoom! Their deconstructed samosa is amazing. 23 hours, 1 tiny airplane seat, and enough movies to make Tom Hanks question his sanity. For some reason, my flight to Sydney previously when we filmed one of our TV show episode took almost 23 hours, too, and that's not an easy thing to do.
If you want the best coffee then you need to go to Melbourne.
Omg I’m going to be doing a super similar flight and I’m probably gonna have to rush from the gates :(
Don’t worry at all, it wasn’t too bad ❤️
Please go to Wendy’s secret garden. It’s amazing, so beautiful and romantic 🥰

Honolulu to Sydney isn't 12 hours
My first tip is get out of Sydney and see the real Australia.
Why don't people go into a pub/bar have a counter lunch, sit, relax for a while, have a beer or two and take in a bit of atmosphere on your 1st day. RELAX. 😮😮😮
Sydney looks beautiful omg🥹🥹 have the best time !!
It’s absolutely STUNNING here 🥹 and thank you so much ❤️❤️
Ok but can we take a moment for Rhylan’s commitment to dressing so stylish! When it comes to sightseeing i can only wear tennis shoes and leggings, don’t know how she does it tbh
Hahaha oh wow you’re the sweetest 😭 thank you so much! 💓
The quality of the video looks top notch, not that it wasn't impressive earlier ;)
Thank youuuu 🥰 we are so happy to hear that you can really tell the difference ❤️❤️
