From Haley Joel Osment's impressive audition to M. Night Shyamalan's strategic decisions in concealing the twist ending, each revelation adds a new layer of appreciation for the film's brilliance.
One of the BEST movies I've ever seen! The only one, I ever rewatched to see if I could pick up the clues to the plot twist at the end. BRILLIANT MOVIE, one of the last best movies ever made!!!
The Sixth Sense is definitely my favorite of M. Knight Shyamalans' movies followed by Unbreakable, also with Bruce Willis. Both are great movies but I feel sad about the fact that Bruce Willis is afflicted with aphasia, a type of Alzheimers like disease that has ended such a great acting career and must be a painful tragedy for his family. I will certainly miss him when he's gone, thinking about what more he could have done further in his lifetime.
I saw an announcement he was retiring over two years ago, but they keep putting out new movies with him in them. So it doesn't seem he's very retired at all. Still, it's got to be harsh finding that you are almost incapable of doing the one thing you really like. I love music, I have 50+ gigs on my iTunes library; but now I'm suffering from tinnitus. I hear a constant loud buzzing in both ears; degeneration of the nerves in the ears. Scary to think that eventually I won't be able to listen to music at all.
I was familiar with the TV show from the 60s - 70s so should have expected a greater supernatural element, but it blind-sided me too. Afterwards you look back and wonder how you missed all of the clues. It was an incredible performance, not just by the actors but by MNS's writing and direction.
The first time I saw this I didn’t even know that Dr. Malcolm Crow was dead through most of the movie I was shocked I thought he got help and lived to see another day. But I was so wrong. But I’m glad he could help Cole sear I love this movie so much.
Absolutely! We feel the same way. Thank you for sharing your sentiments and for watching our content. What other types of video would you like to see on Facts Verse?
The first time I saw this movie the ending went over my head and I wasn’t too impressed, but when I saw it again years later, I caught on and was quite shocked. It made me feel like I’ve smartened up quite a bit in the years between my first viewing and my second. Thank you Mr Shamlin, for that enriching IQ test.
I love the Sixth Scense Especially the Car Scene were Cole Talks to His Mum about Grandma & If You think about it Cole Helps Spirits Move On & I think that's Cool 😊
My boyfriend and i saw this ,he was a ways really good at figuring out the plot of the movie ,but the end of this movie really shocked us ,kind of like Fight Club both really good movies .
He actually is in the film twice, in two unrelated scenes. He speaks to Cole's mother in the hospital, and later is seen looking at a wedding band with the guy's wife.
The Sixth Sense is a masterpiece of modern American cinema. Few movies since its release have even approached it in my opinion. It is my favorite modern movie. I never saw the end coming nor did anyone else in the theater. Even my husband who is always annoyingly trying to guess endings was shocked. Love everything about this movie. I truly miss the effortless acting style of Bruce Willis who is one of my favorite actors. Haley Joel was amazing and I believe it was one of Toni Collette's best roles. Her acting is always pitch perfect, understated. That scene in the car--superb. I could watch this movie a thousand times and still not tire of it. I enjoy Unbreakable but the Sixth Sense is my favorite M. Night movie by far.
He has mad some of the best and worst movies. The Sixth Sense was the best, the worst is kind of a split between "The Happening" (Stupid and bad acting ) and "Old" (Just plain pissed me off), also "The lady in the water" was just too off. I liked his other stuff, The Village, and Unbreakable.
I wrote a short story called “The Twist Ending.” I think I wrote it? You can’t be-shore sometimes. I am pretty sure I did. Any way it’s about a writer who has would be horror writers share their stories and he uses one of the writers who sent him their work and he used them as his own. The young writer was not aware of this until he had used all his stories. The young writer then wrote him he was going to send him a new story with a twist ending and to see if the big writer can figure it out. So the pro writer took the challenge and he-was reading and he thought he could guess the twist ending. When he got to the ending and he found a few pages stuck together , he puked them apart and read what was written on them. They basically tells him the pages were stuck together with a strong poison. That he will, pass from in about five minutes. There is no antidote for it. He will never use anyone’s work again. I have it copywraterted just in case. .
M. Night Shyamalan's "penchant for plot twists" is mentioned. Isn't this the only one ? No disrespect to him, as he did great, but this one movie gave him an aura or legendary status. The "surprise endings" is not seen in any other movie of his.
I think it’s just that main characters get hurt in movies and survived all the time, so we’re just used to suspending our disbelief that the character survives it.
@@rebeccathegachatuber3040 I think you are probably right in that people have expectations in movies which closes their mind to other possibilities. This, of course, moves into other areas of life and I feel that people need to open out their thoughts and observations so that they can actually see what is happening whether that’s in a movie or in life generally. However, at the end of the day this is just a movie and one that I particularly enjoyed.

He didn't do a good job for me. The scene after Bruce was ended didn't make sense to me? Gotcha Mr Director!

Us too! Loved the twist at the end though there's hints everywhere.
Ditto! I can watch it over and over!
The clue is In the first scene, where he was shot dead and I picked this up straight away.
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE
@@FactsVersewhy you narrate it like a symposium in a thesis reading????
Haley was phenomenal at such a young age. Absolute brilliant acting

I loved that movie! The sixth Sense! The ending was really good. It’s hard to make real tears. Most actors have to use fake ones.
Never saw that end coming.. brilliant x

@@WickedPrince3D you know of anyone who DID see it coming?
@@kjk4795 Not I. But I can usually spot some things early. Being familiar with the old TV series I should have realized there was more to it though.
Saw the end coming at the anniversary dinner.
This was an outstanding movie all the way around.

Toni Collette was very good in this movie.
I don’t know why people are only seeing cut up movies. I’ve seen both endings and the hotel scene several times.
Loved the movie. Had to watch it again to see how it all unfolded.

I knew immediately what was going on as he was shot in the first scene. Why didn’t people pick this up, are they just not particularly observant?
